McAfee Heating & Air Conditioning

It went ok. The workmen were very polite. However I am on their service plan where I pay a fee every month and twice a year they come out to service my air conditioner and furnace. Something always seems to happen. The unit (which I purchased from them) is not that old. The problem which I had them come out for this spring was not fixed properly (according to the workman that came out the third time) He did not charge me. I have to say they are very responsive when you call and come ASAP but I feel locked in to using them. I wonder what will go wrong when they come out for their fall inspection?

Love the way McAfee communicates. We realize Heating and A/C can be a bit complex, but we appreciate their professionalism and communication skills to help translate what's needed for us. Their prices have been reasonable thus far...

They were prompt. Not only in the process of evaluation and estimate, but in the work provided. They completed the work quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up after themselves. All went very well. This is the second time we have used them for this type of work, in two different houses. Would not hesitate to use them again

The salesman was ok, I did not opt to use them due to cost.

I have set up a service plan with them. It is $12.95 a month so I did not have to pay anything the last time they came out. I think the cost is pretty reasonable. So far, it has been good. I like that they were prompt and did a good job. I have nothing that I dislike so far.

From the estimate process to installation to the quality check professionalism was demonstrated. Price was very competitive (not the cheapest) but by far not the most expensive. The McAfee team spent time explaining every step. It was obvious that every member of the team wanted us to be happy/satisfied.

The furnace went out late at night so we called for service. The furnace was about 40 years old. They couldn't get parts so they gave us a quote for replacement and we accepted it. We scheduled the installation and they were there on time, completed it quickly. Each employee was nice and considerate. We were very pleased and have recommended them to others.

I’ve had no issues with them. When they come out, they are courteous. They’ll tell us if there’s any issues and go about their business.

The company was very professional, but the prices were high. Care was taken to discuss options, and the quote seemed fair...but simply was too high.

Garner was very professional and answered all of my questions and concerns. Then he proceeded to repair the unit. I would call McAfee again in the future and ask would request Garner.

They did an excellent job. There were no problems. With regard to price, I got one other quote that was higher than theirs. I only had two quotes. Theirs was the most reasonable. The customer service and the quality of the work were good. I would use them again in the future.

I replaced thermostat, unit would not work.,removed new thermostat and installed old thermostat, unit still not working. Removed old thermostat, because painters were working on wall. Service tech showed up and quoted price on a new thermostat. PRICES WERE EXTREMELY HIGH, ie. the thermostat I had purchased at a brick and mortar store the day before cost approximately $40 and the least expensive one offered by the tech was the same brand but was $180. Asked tech to reattach my old thermostat to wall. EXTRA PRICE to mount old thermostat ($99.00) which is on top of the ($89.00) service call. Found out that I only needed a fuse, to fix my problem. VERY UNHAPPY, will never call McAfee again, and will tell friends and family of extreme cost for minor job.

They are coming back with the parts to replace my A coil. The part had to be ordered. They was up front with everything and stuck to their word. I would recommend them to anyone, absolutely a top notch company.

This company is a little pricey but they are top notch when It comes to customer service from the first phone call To the service work. There technicians. Are well trained On all aspects of the service work young need. I always Go back because you know it's going to be right The first time

Results have been great as I have been saving around $70 a month in electric bills.

The sales person came out and quoted a complete system (furance and 2 air conditioner). The price was good and installion time was good. The technicans were on time and very professional. Completed the job in 8 hours. I waited a year to write this because I wanted to see how everything worked. I'm very pleased the everything.

The day after Christmas and the furnace would not stay lit. It was 28 degrees outside and my elderly parents were staying with us. I called McAfee Heating and AC for service. The technician arrived about 1.5 hours after I called and requested service. He was professional, clean and focused on his task. It took him about 20-30 minutes to inspect, clean and repair the furnace. The problem was a safety device, flame sensor. He cleaned the flame sensor and the furnace has been working good ever since. I was told on the phone that a service call would be $89.00 and depending on the work/parts required could be more. I accepted that and expected that I was going to pay that amount. After he was done working, he showed me the comfort club plan that McAfee offers. For $12.95 a month I would get two precision tune ups of the system per year and there would be no diagnostic fees. He explained to me that I could pay the $89 as quoted or the $12.95 for the first months comfort club fee. I paid the man $12.95 and that completed the service call. I would use and will use McAfee Heating and Air again and I would recommend them to others.

The experience was very good overall. They're trustworthy, provide good service, and their technicians are very competent.

Perfection. After our contractor covered our AC (while running) and froze it up breaking the A frame, we were desperate. It was very hot in the house. We were planning on replacing the furnace and AC in a couple of years anyway and had discussed having McAfee do it. We called McAfee and they were here the next day! The day of installation went smoothly. Already having inept contractors present at the time, I was so worried that this would be an added nightmare. Oh no it wasn't, it was such a huge breath of fresh air to have a company in my home who really cared. Professional in every single regard. They cleaned up perfectly before they left. One would never have known that duct work had to be replaced and a furnace, AC and humidifier had been installed in only 8 hours. I very highly recommend this company to all.

Professional, respectful, knowledgeable. They came quickly after a phone call and came in the time frame they said they would arrive in. They called ahead. The properly assessed the situation and made correct repairs. They explained everything clearly. I would recommend them.

It is working fine. They were very prompt and efficient. They kept everything clean. They did what they said they would do. They also have a foundation where you can donate to charity and receive a discount on your service.

This job went exceptionally well. Mike and Landon arrived at the early end of the service window (around 3:30p on a 3:00p - 6:00p estimate). This was a good thing, as we had let the vents go for way too long. Based on the work performed we all agree that the vents hadn't been cleaned by the prior owner after he had them installed. And then we let them go for the last decade or so after we bought the house. Mike and Landon did a great job of explaining what they were going to do, methodically cleaning out each supply and return vent. They also took the time to note a couple of minor repairs to the drywall I will need where the a vent meets a wall in order to keep drywall dust from circulating through the system. After the service work was done (which took nearly 4 1/2 hours of non-stop work) these gentlemen cleaned up after themselves and discussed how often this service should be accomplished, rather than waiting for so long.
