Description of Work: KS painted the exterior of my home. I was not in town when the work was completed so I relied on honest feedback from them to know how the project was going. When I made it home to inspect the house it was pealing and parts were not painted. When I contacted them they stated they would contact me and would make everything right. I haven't heard from them since. I spoke with the neighbor who stated "the got finished really fast" when I said I wasn't happy with the work. I had hoped that using Angie's list would have made a difference in the quality of work and ethics of the contractors I would be dealing with but it doesn't seem to be the case this time. please note I initially gave them a good review based on what I was told.

Description of Work: In preparation of a remodeling project in my master bathroom, I had one wall that needed the wallpaper removed. The wall went from 8 feet to 15 feet and you needed to work around the tub and toilet in a narrow space. The first gentleman came out and removed the wallpaper in about three hours. However, afterward I still saw paste on the wall. When I contacted KS the owner immediately came out and took care of the remaining paste. I realize that quoting on a project like this is difficult because one never knows what will be encountered when taking down wallpaper. It can go quickly or take forever. I do plan to use them when I repaint my master bedroom after the remodeling project.

Description of Work: He painted 6 ceilings, one hall way and two rooms. He answered phone when I called and also responded to email. He was here within two days for estimate and after waiting for another estimate he responded and got to me within the week. Three of ceilings were popcorn ceiling which is not easy and sucks up the paint.

 + 2 moreProject was a great success from start to finish. Both Keith and Larry were wonderful to work with and the finished project is most satisfactory. I have both individuals on my list of contractors and will use them in the future on needed projects.
Description of Work: K&S Painting (Keith Schakleford) and his subcontractor Larry Seay performed a complete pressure wash and painting of a 2-1/2 story (wood and stucco)Tudor Home in Kettering, Ohio. During the project extensive problems were found with exterior wood trim which was replaced in a fashion which closely matched the existing design (house built in 1930). Larry Seay performed the carpentry while Keith performed the painting and we were extremely impressed with their professionalism, expertise, work-ethic and timely performance of the work. In addition, chimney issues were uncovered and addressed via removal of deteriorated morter and tuck point replacement with new material. The additional charges for the extra work were very fair.

He always showed up when he was supposed to and cleaned up every night when he left. We will definitely use him again.

 + 0 moreWe have had this done twice before. Keith is the best painter we've ever had. We had problems with colors initially because the color of the paint on the house did not look anything like the paint chips. We went through numerous sample colors over a period of days before we finally found one we liked. Keith was very patient through the whole process and said he wanted us to like it. We had contracted for two coats. As it turned out, he put on three coats without extra charge for labor because he thought it needed it. He was very professional and his work was very well done. He made sure the job was done right. Also, his price for two coats was not much more than the price we got from one other conractor for one coat and was a couple thousand less than another quote we got for two coats. Keith was friendly and was great to work with. I would highly recommend him.
Description of Work: We had the exterior of our house repainted. We have a two-story with brick halfway up and cedar siding on the top. Keith painted all of the cedar, the trim, doors, garage doors and deck.
