KS Painting Services

It was great - from beginning to end. The workers arrived on time and with all the necessary supplies. They prepped and painted the 3 walls of our 2-story foyer. We had used this paint all over our house and it required only 1 coat. We thought 1 coat would work in the foyer, too. We were wrong! After the painters left, it became apparent that we would need 2 coats. They came back that night to inspect their work and agreed. They came back the next day and applied the second coat. The foyer looks great! And we are so pleased with the job and with the commitment of the company to customer satisfaction. As soon as I can convince my husband that the outside of our house needs some painting, we'll hire them again!

We bought a coupon off of Angie's List for $200 for 8 hours of painting. We were contacted within 24 hours of purchasing the coupon by Sharon from KS Painting. She thanked me for letting them know about the vaulted ceilings and asked if it would be ok for Keith (the painter) to come by before the actual start date to view the room and discuss details of the project. He saw the room and explained that the project would probably take more than the 8 hours specified on the coupon. We worked out a new price in case the project took longer than 8 hours. Keith and his assistant Taylor were on time and did a great job! It took about 12 hours and we were happy to pay for the extra time. It was money well spent and I would definitely use them again!

The price was fair. As a result of this being a smaller job, our work was done with a subcontracted crew, not his regular employees. Overall we were very pleased with the work. Two minor exceptions were corrected immediately to our satisfaction. (Damage to adjacent trim board during a damaged board's removal was repaired; missed caulking was done.) I was impressed they did all the work in a single day and they left the work-site clean.

The staff was very kind to work with, but the job was where the service fell a bit short. The drywall repair was to be on a couple spots on the walls, as well as the corner of the wall at the top of the stairs. You can see exactly where the repair on one of the walls is-- as we chose a light beige color. Also, the repair on the corner looks only a bit better than it did before and there is splotchy paint job on the corner, and a spot without paint. There is a significant spot above a switch plate where there is no paint at all. This job was something we could not have completed on our own, due to the height of the stairs, so it was nice to hire help. Other than those few flaws, I appreciate having a painted staircase and hallway and the beige they chose is great!

I didn't know KS Painting at all prior to hiring them for this job. I got quotes from several painters. Some were large operations with lots of painters and others were one man shows. KS Painting was priced in the middle: I don't see how a larger operation could have done a better job and I don't know that smaller painters would have been able to get the job done with the same high quality and speed. KS did a great job. When they gave me a quote they also identified some important issues related to the job that none of the other painters mentioned. For instance, there was a small piece of downspout missing above our garage. This missing downspout was directing a large volume of rainwater into the wrong location and causing deterioration of the roof. They replaced the missing piece of guttering as part of the job thus eliminating this problem. They brought a crew of at least half a dozen painters with them. All of their workers were friendly, hard working and focused on doing a good job. I got the sense that they were selective in hiring and that they would wouldn't hire anyone less than the best. They were able to get the job done in a single day while other painters estimated that it would take several days. So .. . very pleasant to work with, punctual, competitively priced and quality work. I will use them again in the future.

2Keith and his crew did a great job of priming the interior of the house. They arrived on time and got right to work. The job was completed in two days, and Keith came back for a "walk through" to make sure everything was done correctly. The few things that needed tweaking were taken care of by Keith himself at that time. We are very pleased with the results of this job.

It went okay. I read some reviews online about problems that other people were having and that was basically what I had. The first time we had a scheduled appointment for painting, but they didn't call, so I called within in half an hour of my appointment asking if they are going to show up. They said he's in another area doing something else. They blamed it on the rain, but we hadn't had that much rain and he was supposed to be working on an outside project would push everything else back. It was a struggle to get it organized and to communicate with them. When he finally got here, I would say he did about a B grade job. Some areas were lighter than the others because it seemed like he didn't put a second coat on those areas, but he blamed it on the walls.

Showed up on time with great crew. Th owner was there to get them started and instructed us on who was in charge when he was gone. Carpet and trim was protected and they got right to work. It went a little longer than i think they thought it would but stayed until it was completely done. All ceilings and walls were given 2 coats and the house looks great. We had 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, living ,dining and sun room done. Couldn't be happier with the work and workers. Would definitely endorse and use them again for painting.

Some bubbles in paint and a few missed spots.

The painters were suppose to provide their own paint, but used our paint for everything, except the powder room and bathroom. They used the wrong paint for one of the bedrooms, and only painted the repairs--so there were 'spots' where they only 'spot' painted. They tried to claim that it was 'old paint' that was showing up from behind. Finally, they agreed to come back and fix it--they repainted the room. The other bedroom, they failed to paint the areas near the ceiling, near the baseboards and the corners---they blamed it on lighting. The repairs look like they just put goo over the area and painted over it. We were tired of them having to come back and repair, we finally gave up, paid them and let it go. We will have to hire new painters to fix. They also dropped paint on our newly tiled fixtures and tile, which has been very difficult to remove. Attached are photos, after clean up--we are having difficulty removing the paint completely. Attached are a few photos of the poor quality work, the trim throughout is very mess and unclean and the repair looks horrible.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine.

Keith and Sharon are great to do business with, excellent prices and communication, the job was professional quality work .One of the best business transactions I had in recent times.

We were wanting to get some painting done before we had carpet installed and before we moved in to our house. They managed to squeeze us into their busy schedule. They started on time and actually finished ahead of what they thought. They were very professional. They were there two days and cleaned up each day leaving the area better than they found it. The rooms look great. I will use them again!

Great job!! Paint really looks good and clean up was fantastic. I can't say enough about how happy I am with the job that was done. Would not hesitate to call again in the future.

WOW! Sharon and Keith were SO easy to work with. We communicated through phone and email since I do not live in the same area as our rental property. They totally understood my needs (even recommended the flooring company ... home run, there too) and the short timeline I was on. I set up the painting to coincide with new flooring and KS Painting worked with the flooring people to make sure that both jobs went smoothly without adversely impacting either one. The crew arrived on time and ready to go. Their cooperation with one another made the job look easy ... it wasn't - it is a lot of painting to finish in 1 day ... The team knew their roles and they did an amazing job. Top-notch professionals. They had extra lighting to make sure nothing was missed. Keith personally checked several times throughout the day to make sure I was satisfied. There was a miscommunication and an extra bedroom got painted ... didn't phase anyone and it didn't slow them down one bit. They were even able to paint over a wallpapered bathroom to make it look so much better ... amazing difference:) I am thrilled with the professionalism of the crew and the company and will call them as soon as something else needs painting! My neighbor also observed their work and plans to hire them to repaint her living room. I highly recommend KS Painting Services.

Keith's guys did a great job, and Keith stopped by to check how everything went.

The painting by KS Painting Services was fine at the same time, I wanted them to install base boards but they never came back to do it and I called and called and called and called but he never responded. They were very nice, they just never returned my call. I even asked if they can do it, if not I'll find somebody else, they said "no, no, no, we can do that. We can do that."

The work that he did complete was a pretty descent job but he did not complete the job and it was just very difficult to contact him. I found that really frustrating, that the job wasn't complete. I wouldn't really recommend him. I used a coupon for the pricing but I can't actually remember what and then we had discussed and told me there was going to be an additional fee and I was going to pay him the rest but he didn't finish the job and then he never came back so I didn't have to pay him the rest. The price was reasonable.

On 4/26/13 called to schedule, spoke with Sharon she was very pleasant, she explained the the guys we very busy and apologized for this and scheduled us for 6/4/13 at 8:00am, long wait but well worth it, we had scheduled for 2 guys for 4 hours, they showed up promply and they went right to work, they were very pleasant and again very professional, when the 4 hours were up the room looked AMAZING, as well as the 2nd bedroom they touched up, we could not be more pleased with their work as well as their manners, we would hire them again to do furture work

I ordered both services through Angie's List as part of their 'Big Deal' promotion(s). The interior paint job was to be performed by one crew over a four-hour period and instead was performed by one individual over a six-hour period. Unfortunately my wife and I weren't available to monitor the situation and it wasn't finished quite the way we would have liked. Several spots weren't completely covered and paint was splattered as well. That being said, the work was on-par with what I probably could have done myself, that being said I did pay someone to do it, right? The power-washing was a little more difficult to schedule as the weather has to cooperate. However, the final agreed-upon date was missed (no phone call or explanation) and getting back on the schedule proved a little more cumbersome than anticipated. When the work was finally performed the end result was OK, but not quite the results we were hoping for (that could be a product of the poor vinyl-siding, not KS Paint). Overall - price and quality - I gave the experience a 'B'. It was slightly above average, but not A-level work.

Great service. Professional, punctual, and though this was my fisrt time I've hired a painter - the price seemed fair. Only issue was the quality of the work could have been a bit better. But overall - I was please with the service.
