Though Phil said he would check to see if someone could do the job, I knew that I had to keep looking myself as well. I specifically told Phil that before any work was to be done, my approval was required! In the meantime I had someone go out and they came back with a very good estimate for a complete job, including cleaning out the garage and hauling away all of the junk-no exclusions. So I contacted Phil only to discover that he had already had someone do the work. The price was the same except that they were not going to haul the junk, they weren't going to remove all of the junk, and the garage was not included. To say the least, I was both shocked and angry. Phil admitted that he should have gotten my approval first. I called Neal, but to my surprise, Neal was quite rude and abrupt. He did agree to try and work something out, but I decided to contact the individual who did the cleaning myself. In the meantime, Phil asked for his lockbox back and then asked how much I was going to pay him? It was unbelievable as he didn't care that he had just cost me extra money and was leaving me with an incomplete job.
