Description of Work: From the start this was the perfect example of unprofessional-ism by David Scott Green. Let me start off by clarifying that another review written on Angie's List about this company stated "David" did good work-they clearly are most likely NOT referring to Mr.David Scott Green-He goes by "Scott" and is unbelievably unprofessional. Apparently there are 3 workers in this company and David Scott Green is the one I hired to repair drywall in ceiling over garage. Punctuality is not existent, nor is he reliable. Was to come Friday for estimate, but called and couldn't come. Finally came on Tuesday, said he would arrive at 9:30 AM-called at 10:30 AM to say he was running late and he arrived at 11:30 AM. The job was a messy one as blown in insulation over attic was present where it should never have been blown in. Either way, Scott Green wrote a sloppy estimate with incorrect math, and quoted me $600 labor and materials. He stated he was giving a discount because my husband is a retired Air Force member (Scott stated he was military too). There was no discount, with labor and materials he could have dry walled twice the size he estimated. He showed up without a ladder, electric cords, and necessary tools to do the job, and didn't own a truck. He admitted his "partners" have all the tools and would be coming tomorrow". Scott started at 11:50 AM and worked only 25 minutes and then said he was going to lunch! Came back at 1:22 PM and after 3 minutes he had caused half of my garage ceiling cave in!!! He admitted, and I am quoting him " I tried to rush and leaned on the other side, maybe causing it to come down". He endangered my home, himself, and is a menace. I was furious however he agreed to fix his damage included in the original amount, so despite my better judgement Scott, myself and my son swept insulation and cleaned up the mess he created for an hour. Scott claimed he'd be back in the morning with his stilts to take out nails and finish. He stated his partners had the drywall press and he may need to buy one. Mr. David Scott Green doesn't have the tools to do any work himself (he needed my tools and his partners who never showed up until the last day). Scott left at 3:20 pm and June 16th saying he'd be back early tomorrow. Next day, he called saying his transmission was out and couldn't come. At this point, I am kicking myself for ever permitting this guy to stay after he demoed my garage and I suspect he thought he'd get more money by doing so! No way! He did not have proper tools nor partners and he caused damage to my home because of his unprofessional-ism. He kept complaining that I didn't tell him there was insulation over the garage, however I even stated that in the original voicemail I left for Hoosier Drywall. This guy was a real piece of work, I tell you! Delays, cancellations, lack of tools, I should have fired him on the spot when he demoed the garage, but I wanted to give him the benefit of doubt. Scott finally came back on June 18th 2015 with Dave and another younger gentleman in an actual truck with tools. This is what should have occurred from the start! It was clear Scott did not want to do this job. The men were grumbling and complaining. I decided after the damage to my home I would not allow Scott to touch anything on my home again. I paid Scott a generous $100.00 for his time on June 16th when he damaged my garage and my son & I worked along side him cleaning up insulation. I generously offered to buy the sheet rock purchased for $77.04 because I was trying to be more than fair. Also, Scott had asked to leave the few tools he did show up with on June 16th in my garage, and I had permitted him to do so. A bit of advice, don't allow workers to leave tools behind (Scott had left his drill plugged into our electric cord & outlet and ON while gone!). I am writing this detailed review in the hopes that another Angie's List Member will benefit from my mistakes in choosing Hoosier Drywall.
