Being new to the area, I contacted a list of painters, all names I gathered based on reviews from Angie's list, to provide estimates for work to be conducted within our home. This husband/wife team stood out among their peers. Debbie Henley immediately returned my call and scheduled time for her husband to come out and prepare a bid. (Others took longer.) He was timely, professional, discussed options and within 24 hours, had sent me a bid for services. The only reason we did not utilize them was that my husband decided to tackle the project himself. However, we will not hesitate to contact them again in the future and look forward to working with them.

The Henleys are a married home services team. They were professional from start to finish. I felt highly comfortable with them in my home. Efficient and executed well. They were respectful of my napping baby and easy to talk to.

Greg and Debbie were awesome! The first thing that impressed me was how prompt they were. There is nothing that annoys me more than scheduling a home-related service to be performed and the provider shows up significantly late (and often does not call); this was definitely not an issue with Greg and Debbie. I was also impressed with how flexible they were with scheduling. I had out-of-town family coming in and they worked my project into their schedule before my family arrived. Additionally, they even managed to paint my entire kitchen twice after I realized I chose a color that did not look right the first time. Finally, the work performed was excellent! They painted every room in my house and it looks magnificent. Also, Greg did a great job of fixing a wall that was poorly framed by the original builders of the house (I thought this was just something I would have to live with but he managed to fix it). Overall, I was extremely happy with the work performed, the price of the work, and the professionalism of both Greg and Debbie. I would definitely hire them again!

They were very responsive and worked with me when during my relocation. My closing was delayed but they quickly accommodated me and worked with me to meet my needs prior to my movers arriving. The work was quick but very well done. They did a terrific job painting over some very dark paint (dark red) with a much lighter color (pale yellow). You cannot tell these rooms were once painted very dark.

The Henleys are a husband and wife team and are the kindest professionals we have worked with. We contacted them because of their high ratings on Angie's List and chose them over two other recommended painting companies in the area. Their pricing was comparable to the others, but we felt most comfortable having the Henleys in our home for the extended period of time that was required. They are also dog-lovers, so that made it easy leaving our beloved dog at the house with them. Not only are they great conversationalists and very easy to work with, they did a fantastic job painting our home. It looks and feels like a completely different home, and the quality of the workmanship is far superior to a lot of the previous paint jobs in the house. The Henleys worked quickly, cleaned up the workspace every day, and made sure to address everything that we had any concerns or questions about. It was a great pleasure working with them and was money well-spent.

Spoke with Greg and Debbie both several times regarding a home remodel to get a family property "up to speed" before offering for sale. The problem was I live 500 miles from the property and wanted Greg and Debbie to act as my "general contractor" and oversee all the things that they could not do themselves. After some discussions Greg and I decided that I was asking him to take on more than he could do in the near-term as he had a series of work already lined up for the next six or so weeks. I appreciated the fact that he realized that it was too much to take on and advised me of that fact. Greg will certainly get another chance if I need additional work done in the area.

Be careful. Let me start out by saying that I want to love this company...I really do. We started out how we start out with all contractor relationships: a little job first to see how things go followed on by a more complex job if things go well.The main problem that I have is the lack of attention to detail. This manifests itself in many ways dealing with this husband/wife duo: 1) Expect communications to be a bit erratic. Generally they are responsive but sometimes weird things pop up such as getting dates wrong. Lots of rescheduling. Sometimes confusing text messages and emails. On the first experience, Greg came out and took wrote up a quote and everything was good. The second time I had work done Greg did not come out to write a quote so I felt a little uneasy about the scope of the work to be done sight unseen. I emailed them a detailed pdf with lots of pictures, instructions, etc. From what I can tell, the detailed specs were never used since some of the jobs were not according to the instructions. 2) The attention to detail is not there. Let me get one thing straight, I'm not cheap in the least bit. Their prices are very cheap. I could care less how cheap the job is if it doesn't get done correctly. * Exterior light installation: The problem with this install was that it was a replacement of existing lights. We anticipated that the cedar backplate would need replaced/painted due to the new fixtures being smaller than the older ones. The reason for the anticipated replacement was that this piece of wood was cracked pretty substantially. Either way, even if it was not replaced, it should have minimally been touched up with exterior paint. Apparently Greg had talked to another contractor we had on site that same day and the other contractor agreed to paint it for him. You can see where this is going. It obviously never got painted. * Crack repair/paint: I had high hopes for this since painting is where most of the Angieslist reviews are for this contractor. They did a terrific job for repairing the cracks, I'll give them that. The problem with this job is with the paint matching. I was more than willing to pay for their time/travel/gas/hourly rates to get the paint matching right. From what I can tell, they simply took a swab to match and then proceeded to paint every area with this color that nowhere near matching our walls. To make it worse, they then covered large areas of the walls to possibly try to make it less obvious. Instead of having small areas of mismatched paints (just where the cracks are), we now have huge patches of our walls that are mismatched...ugh. * Window weatherstripping: I'm guessing the cost per window they quoted me was a case of contractors remorse in hindsight because they said that Lowes/Home Depot did not have the materials so they could not complete the job. I'm guessing the low cost they quoted me wasn't worth their while to do the windows because I went to those stores (first store I went to had them in stock) and bought the materials and did it myself that weekend. It seems that most people on here are doing whole room interior paint jobs from Henley. I'm sure they are very good at that but I caution you to consider them for jobs that are not in that wheelhouse. I would gladly pay 2x/3x of what they are quoting if it meant the peace of mind of just getting things done right.

Worked with us to find a date that met our needs. Arrived on time and worked efficiently with quality tools and materials. Professional appearance and behavior, high quality work with thorough clean-up. Excellent results at a very fair price. No complaints. Would recommend them and will use them again.

I needed the drawer repaired as soon as possible. Henley told me there would be a minimum of two weeks to wait and couldn't/wouldn't recommend another repairman to do the job.

When I called and left a message for an estimate the call was returned within 15 minutes and the appointment was scheduled for the next day. I received the written estimate the day after the appointment. I ws able to get scheduled in at the first opening which was about 4 weeks later. After meeting Greg and seeing his work, I know why he is scheduled out so far. He did a great job on the repairs and finished them in about half a day. I am very satified with the work that was done and would call them again.

The paint job was great. They were prompt, very neat, and genuinely nice and trustworthy, and the rooms look great. We had trouble with the paint bubbling on the walls of the stairwell after those walls were skimmed and they came back numerous times until it was right. We are very pleased and would definitely hire them again.

The Henley's did an excellent job for us...from the beginning they went above & beyond to fit us in between other jobs to make our home look significantly better for family coming to visit for our son's high school graduation! They were extremely willing to do add-on work that we didn't think of when we asked for the quote (i.e., additional room & color change for one wall). They were understanding of our dog (who is getting older) and went out of their way to befriend him! We have nothing but accolades and would definitely hire them again!

Working with Greg and Debbie was a great experience. Since we were moving out, we weren't sure how much we wanted to have painted. Greg came by to look at the house, and gave a very detailed explanation of his recommendations. The estimate was broken down room-by-room, which was exactly what we needed so we could choose what we wanted done. Since we wanted the painting done after we'd moved out, they were able to fit us in during week we needed by working evenings. They were very responsive about any questions or concerns. Shortly after they provided their estimate, we discovered some drywall damage in the garage. A call to them confirmed that Greg could fix that for us, too, and he gave me a verbal estimate over the phone. The house looked great after they finished. A couple rooms required an additional coat beyond what the estimate called for, but they did not charge extra for those extra coats. They also touched up baseboards and filled some holes in the wall elsewhere in the house. Finally, Greg had noticed and repaired some peeling drywall tape in the garage, also at no additional charge. Overall, we were very pleased with the experience. And, partially thanks to them, our house was sold within a week and a half of being listed!

I needed a reliable and reasonably priced interior painter for a quick turnaround job. I called Henley Home Services and they came out right away to give me a very detailed estimate (which was very reasonable). I was able to review the estimate, select the exact items/services/coats of paint, etc. that I wanted done. Mr. and Mrs. Henley were very accomodating to my needs and got the job done quickly, efficiently and the results are great. In addition, Mr. Henley took the initiative to repair a few items (stove burner, etc.) that needed attention, without my having to think of asking him to do it. I am VERY happy and am very lucky to have found a professional who can be relied upon to not only do a great job, but to go over and above the job specs. Based on my experience with them, I am going to use Henley's Home Services for all my painting as well as other general maintenance and home repair services.

Contacted me in a timely manner to arrange the estimate, came out, completed the estimate, and got it back to me by e-mail. We accepted it and scheduled a time - all within two weeks. They came, completed everything in an excellent manner. We have more painting work to be done and will call them to do it.

I called several folks on Angies List to find someone who could paint my living room and dining room ceilings within 5 days since my hardwood floors were going to begin getting refinished in 6 days. Debbie called right back. She stated that if they made good progress on their current job, they might be able to squeeze me in and she would call back the next day to let me know. She called the next day as promised, Greg came over that afternoon to take a look and provide an estimate, and they both did the job the very next day. They are both lovely people who do great work and I am very likely to call them for some additional home improvement work in the near future. Thank you Debbie and Greg for your help and exceptionally quick response!

They were excellent. Their price was to my liking. I would use them again in the future; I am planning to use them again.

We had our 2 story foyer, stairwell and 2 story great room painted. Greg and Debbie both painted for about 6 hours for 2 days. The results are even better than we expected !!!

They were very nice and professional. They gave me a very detailed estimate. They came highly recommended and I think they would do a good job. I might actually use them; they are in the front running.

The previous tenant for this vacant rental property was a heavy smoker for many years. It smelled so bad inside that I could not handle being inside for very long. The walls had brown stains and you could see the spots of where the pictures had hung. These painters had to wash the walls first. Then apply an oil based primer followed by 2 coats of paint. What a big project! They completed the job in a few weeks and worked me into their busy schedule because I need to get this property rented fast. Their proposal was very detailed and left no surprises. I will be calling them again for my next project. Thank you Greg & Debbie
