House next door burned down, melting the siding on my house facing the fire. My Insurance company sourced GDCG. Work was professional, punctual and good quality. I was very satisfied, with the exception that I think price was a bit high for only one side of the house.

The insurance adjuster came out the Monday after damage was done (damage was done on Friday evening). Project manager came out after negotiating estimate and repaired and painted all that was damaged.

Dave, the estimator made an appointment, arrived on time was very thorough. Insurance company processed claim immediately, work was performed as scheduled. Crew cleaned up great, only two roofing nails.

Workers arrived on time, were polite and made sure to protect all the furniture from drywall dust and paint. Job was completed on time with no problems!

Greater Dayton Construction Group worked with our insurance company to determine the scope and cost of the rebuild. We were assured that they would keep us within our insurance limits, which they did. We were told the job would take approximately 6 months, which it did. We relied heavily on the project manager who listened to our concerns, never failed to respond to calls and emails, accompanied us to stores when choosing items for the house, always mindful of keeping us within our insurance limits, In addition, the project manager seemed to always be on top of the subcontractors and was often on the job site. We felt the drywall subcontractors did not do a great job, but our old and quot;new houseand quot; is beautiful. In the beginning of this process, we were traumatized and overwhelmed. As the work progressed and as we saw that our questions and concerns were addressed quickly and to our satisfaction, we began to relax and trust all those who helped see this huge job through to the end.

Estimate was on site quickly with a temporary repair to protect home. (Within 24 hours) job was done months later when the weather cleared and installed overall siding very well. A++ job with responsible people.

It was the best experience I had with any home improvement/repair company. Tom, the project manager was excellent as well as the crew (Josh and Lloyd)... There was a mix-up on the shade of the wood and they had to get a new batch. The crew volunteered to come in and do it over.

We are in the beginning of our remodel process - room addition and kitchen remodel to include a half bath and mud room. Victor has been super about listening to our plans and and quot;wantand quot; list and excellent at working with us to stay close to our budget. So far, barring the rotten weather for construction, it is great!

The group of roofers arrived about 8:30 in the morning and began removing the two old sets of shingles. They didn't stop for a break until about 1:30 in the afternoon. They had to replace some of the wood on the roof, remove an old fake chimney around some flue, and remove a flue from an old furnace. They also put in a roof vent. We're very impressed with the and quot;lookand quot; of the roof without the old chimney and the fact that all metal on the roof was painted to match the dark brown edging they used with the roof. The roof vent looks good. In having looked at other roof vent installation jobs we were very picky ... they did a very nice installation job so that it really seems part of the roof and not a lumpy add-on at the top. They covered my plants/shrubs in the landscaping around the house to protect them. I've found no problems after the job was completed. Once Shauna had been out here for the meeting she changed the color of the edging so that it better matched the colors of our roof and home. They did a good job of cleaning up especially with the wind that moved in with the unexpected snow! The day had been pretty nice up to that point! When we drive up to the house we really like how it looks with its new roof!

Concrete porch on a rental property collapsed. Insurance company recommended Greater Dayton Construction. They did the work without my having to micromanage. Repair was well done. The repair took a bit longer than expected, but that was due to weather issues. Repair is complete and Earl was easy to work with. I did not price shop since the insurance company recommended this company so I cannot comment on price compared to others.

Outstanding, Professional service. Made rador in color, and identified and corrected error very quickly.

I had wind damage to my roof . This company was recommended by my insurance company as one of their preferred companies. When I received their estimate it did not make sense to me. The price was too high for what they said they were going to do. I went to Angie's list and saw the reviews on this company, and decided to find another company.

Horrible...never use these people!! Not on time, poor, poor quality work, messy, didn't clean up after themselves. They used sub contractors for painting and carpentry. Mike would promise they would come on a day and then after repeated calls maybe someone might show up, but they would not finish anything. Mike, really nice friendly guy, but never had any tools, ordered wrong door, didn't get right supplies . VP Brian promised they would be done before my party 2 weeks ago and they are not done yet as of 10-15-11, (started in August). Painters got paint on the floor, on the door, on the windows, etc, and missed lots of areas, tried to mud in a large part of the corner wall because they didn't cut the dry wall correctly, had to redo it. Mess up popcorn ceiling by rolling it instead of spraying as the estimate stated they would. Painter moved dehumidifier which subsequently leaked water all over carpeted floor...took 4 days to dry out. Carpenters put in doors ok, put dent into one of the doors, weren't going to insulate frame of doors, and access door has not one single straight line in it. And they tried to convince me that that was and quot;normal.and quot; Had to have lots and quot;redone.and quot; Had to be vigilant about everything they did. This was a relatively small job that could have been done in a week max. I would never ever use them again or recommend them to do anything for anyone. Update...after writing this horrible review there was plenty of action by the company. Finally qualified quality people showed up to do the work correctly and Mike bent over backwards to have every thing done. So, while I did not have a great initial experience, the project was completed to my satisfaction....if only they sent the best first....

They got everything done, and the kitchen looks really good. They kept to the budget. They are professional and friendly. They have their own showroom and helped make recommendations on our new appliances.

While designer/marketing person was great to work with, once the job started, things went down hill after the 3rd day. Greater Dayton NEVER committed to a schedule as they promised. The job started in early July and did not finish until late September. Originally, it was estimated to take 6 to 8 weeks. They did NOT finish the job as stated, and when we brought it to their attention, they said it was and quot;good enough.and quot; They gave us a quote to do the work they did incorrectly. I hired a plumber who finished the work for one third the cost Greater Dayton wanted to charge. I brough this to the attaention of the president by mail and got NO response. I will NEVER use them again for anything. As a result of my posting here, I was contacted by the NEW president of Greater Dayton. I explained the issues I had with the work and that my original letter to Greater Dayton was ignored. He sent out one of his staff and a plumber to look at the parts of the job that I was concerned about. I was very happy with the response and the follow up corrective actions I received.

I met Scott Backer of Greater Dayton Construction at the Dayton Home show in late January. He scheduled an appointment and came out to my house to give an estimate on a loft/master bedroom project. He was prompt, very courteous and very helpful. He answered all of my quesitons, retrieved all the necessary measurements and set up a time for the following week for me to meet with him and go over the design and estimate at his office. He produced a very professional and detailed document, went over it step by step, answered all of my questions. His final quoted price was a bit more than the contractor that I chose. But his overall presentation was the best. It was as very close decision and I have nothing negative to say about him or the experience with this company. I would definately recommend them for any project that you might be considering and I will consider them again in the future.

We did not get the carpeting done and we chose to go with someone else. They were a kind of high for one thing. They were quoting us commercial grades and we definitely didn't need some things. They were very good and very professional when we had them come out. We had a water line break around November and at that time all they did was just gave us an estimate. They were supposed to be putting the baseboard back, but we haven't decided them doing anything yet because of the holidays and we are going to wait till after the 1st of January. My husband dealt with them and I just spoke to them when they gave us the estimate. My husband did seem pleased enough with them. Our overall experience was excellent. They were very responsive.
