Nick Gerhard and men was to be here 8am never showed til around 10-11am.took two days they all worked different areas, nick did dryway in ceiling did ok job shows where was repaired, left a mess paint on floor appliances, drywall on floors in pieces behind appliances. The walls in laundry room was thin uneven missed areas I had to repaint that myself had to drive 60 miles roundtrip to his house to pick up the extra paint he didnt leave us I paid for. Ceilings in kitchen shabby thin coats, got paint on walls,ceilings in bathroom thin coats can tell outlines, walls good job,walls in livingroom only good job that was acceptable , ceilings very shabby thin, steaks from rollers,looks like ran out of paint and stretch thin, Over all not good when it came to ceilings.I contacted Nick gerhard to come check it out since june it needed corrected, he never came send a friend to do it.Finally in sept he said buy the paint 4 gallons of ceiling paint and would repaint for free, So I went to sherwin williams bought 4 gallons of paint $116.00 text him told him I have paint, after numerous attempts to reply he said be out on a sunday to do it, No show never a call, finally reached him again he said be next week, I said Ok I have paint. the Day came and went never shows, no calls nothing after numerous text to him and calls I finally returned the paint. the ceilings is still not repaired correctly, I had to have someone else come in and do estimate to repair his work. He is Never on time, No replys to your calls or text.He did do it very cheap cost guess we got what we paid for, took advantage of us i feel Im on disability and husband is disabled 70 years old.I filed report with BBB and they never got a reply either.I was told He does NOT carry insurance on business his work or even his vehicles, he Does NOT Guarantee work as I found out first hand. Everything he states on his ad on angies list is a Lie. I know he is alive and well he is on his Facebook of his Girlfriend with photos. he has taken advantage of elderly here.I would Never Never recommend his services. Again he is never on time does Not show when promises,is cheap on paint, stretches thin does Not clean up,No calls or reply back, not dependable at all.Does not guarantee his work or repair his mistakes.not insured IM told.gives excuses why he cant come or come back.

I was dissatisfied he didn't return my calls.

I looked at Nick's reviews on Angie's List and purchased two vouchers for $99 each for interior paint service. My hope was to apply this to a large job as I am readying my house to put it on the market. Nick Gerholt and I had set up a time for the estimate and he assured me that Friday would not be a problem. He did not show and he did not call. I called him and left a voice message and then 30 minutes later I reached him. I told him who I was and he asked "What's Up?". At that point I knew I was had for my $198 voucher. But he assured me that he was busy with a job but would be there in 15 minutes. So I cancelled plans and told the kids to watch another DVD and he still did not show or call. So for two and a half hours of wasted family Friday time and $198 dollars down the tubes I learned a powerful lesson.

Nick is a hard-working, conscientious and friendly professional. His team has performed EXCELLENTLY on all three jobs and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and I will certainly be hiring him again. He does what he says he's going to do, on time and in a professional manner. I could not be happier with the work performed on our two decks and the landscaping effort was fantastic as well.

The incredible skill of Gerhard's painters is only surpassed by their wonderful customer service. The owner of the company, Nick Gerhard, is attentive, knowledgeable, and an absolute pleasure to work with! From start to finish, Nick consistently communicated with us regarding the status of the house (without prompting), and even contacted us a few days after the job was finished just to ensure the house was exactly to our liking. The two painters that came daily were polite, friendly, and focused. They were very detail-oriented with their painting and always arrived right when expected. My husband and I could not be happier with Gerhard's Affordable Painting and the truly amazing work they did. We have already received so many compliments. Those who saw our house before we hired Gerhard's now say that the house is "absolutely stunning...it doesn't even look like the same place." I cannot thank them enough and will definitely be calling them in the future when it's time to do the exterior of the house and the deck. I would, without hesitation, recommend Gerhard's Affordable Painting to anyone with any paint job!

Not good at all! This job was supposed to be completed within 3 weeks, which is ample time for a company that shows up when they're supposed to and works diligently. Unfortunately, Mr. Gerhard and company were as reliable to show up as they were to do a professional job. They tried to cover up areas needing patch and repair by adding more and more paint -- a recipe for failure. Ultimately, over a 5 week period of time, Gerhard simply stopped coming to the job site and only completed about 75 percent of the work -- though they were paid in full -- my mistake for sure! They also left cigarette butts and spit cups throughout our home routinely, and neither my wife nor kids were happy about that! The bottom line is it was an unsatisfactory job. Pictures are worth a thousand words, so please take the time to review the attached photos... These photos illustrate Mr. Gerhard's workmanship after 3 full weeks of work, and ultimately the state that he left our home when he suddenly failed to show for work. I recommend NOT hiring Gerhard Home Services for paint or any other job. They take short cuts and try to hide poor workmanship from you... As the photos clearly show, Gerhard's work is substandard on a good day.
