Service was excellent; team was very professional. Doug and his colleague were prompt and took the time to explain what they were doing and why. They were very thorough, cleaning everything and not leaving any excess dust/debris in the house. We will definitely use Environmental Doctor in the future.

They did a great job. Friendly, clean, explained each step of the way what they were doing. Cleaned up perfectly. we intend to use them for other projects around the house.

Diagnosed the issue, identified part to be replaced, offered to replace the part at a cost which didn't seem reasonable to me so I just did it myself. But the technician was helpful and advised on how to do it.

I've never had this kind of work done before so I don't have anything to compare it to. They came as scheduled. They seemed to know what they were doing, were careful and cleaned up nicely after themselves. They installed a moisture barrier (plastic sheeting) over the entire ground in the crawlspace and half-way up the walls. It looks very neat and tidy. They installed the pipes and such and ran it outside. All of that looks clean and tidy. And the radon reading went from a 9 before mitigation to a 2 after mitigation, so it was effective. The woman who made the appointments (which I changed a couple times) was helpful and patient and knowledgeable. A couple days after the installation, I noticed what sounded like the sound of a lot of water flowing through the pipes they installed. It was as though a rushing stream was flowing under the bedroom floor. I didn't know this wasn't normal. After putting up with it 24/7 for several months I called to ask if it was normal, because it was driving me nuts. They said it wasn't normal, a technician came out within a day or so (as scheduled), said there was condensation in the pipe and fixed it immediately! No more rushing water sound! I was sorry I hadn't questioned it months earlier, but at least it's quiet now! I've also called them a couple times to ask questions (I forget what for) and they were always responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable. I gave them a "B" rating instead of an "A" rating, because I don't have anything to compare them to, having never had this kind of work done before. Nor did I get estimates and information from any other companies as the seller of the house engaged their services, not I. I'm completely satisfied, and would recommend them to anyone.

The service went well. The result was good, and we haven't had any problems. I didn't have to call them and schedule it, and I wasn't at the house when they came out.

Their technicians are very good. They take their time and as far as I can tell, do not try to "pad" the bill or seek to offer product or service not needed.

Excellent from start to finish. The technicians (James and Trenton) were extremely conscientious, everyone was very professional and knowledgeable.

They seemed knowledgeable but the problem wasn't solved. I don't think it was necessarily their fault. The came out and did and evaluation, there was an air flowing problem. They gave us the results; there was a gas that comes out of the basement floor. We had some problems in our heating system and they tried to identify the cause but they couldn't identify the cause.

Worked perfectly. We had used ED a few years before for the same service, that one also worked well.

First off, the guy on the phone who gave me a quite, was completely knowledgeable about the duct cleaning process and could tell me everything I needed to know. The techs who did the work answered all my many questions (and weren't bothered by my stream of never ending questions). They covered our vents with "carpet tape". Like small shrink wrap that has a sticky side. One piece over each register with plenty of extra around it. The older guy has been doing duct cleaning for many decades & it shows. He explained everything in great detail. A little chatty at times, but worth the stories to learn about the process. In the end, they showed me their hepa-vacuum and how full of dust it was. They found a lot of drywall dust and debris in our ductwork from construction (7 yrs ago). No wonder we've had respiratory issues since we moved in 3 yrs ago! After they were gone, you wouldn't even have known they'd been there. A job well done & we will all be healthier for it.

They did a good job. They were prompt and courteous. They are knowledgeable and provided excellent service.

We selected Environmental Doctor (ED) over three other bids -- while they were the highest bid of the four, they proposed the solution that best met our requirements in light of the challenges that our 100+ years house presented: 1. Removal and replacement of the original furnace, which was converted to gas in the 1930s. 2. Removal and replacement of ducts and register boots covered in asbestos wrappings. 3. Delivery for the first time of heat and air conditioning to the upper floor of the house, which had never been heated and which lacks duct work. Their bid was also richly documented, which gave us an excellent idea of what we were getting and how the pieces fit the HVAC puzzle. (As I recall, the other bids were 1- or 2-page documents that seemed impatient to stampede to the bottom line.) The job started and ended as planned a couple months before the work began. An energy-efficient Carrier system (heating + A/C) was installed to service the main floor of the house. That included the installation of brand-new, custom duct work and register boots. (All of the old floor registers were maintained.) A new floor register was installed for the bathroom on the ground floor. On the upper level, a Mitsubishi wall unit for heat and A/C was installed in each room. The installation of all was flawless, and the machines have performed wonderfully since then. ED's crew were intelligent, personable, and trustworthy as to their arrival to the work site and their comings and goings throughout the house. They took care to keep me informed of any on-going issues and were diligent about tidying up before their daily departure. The inspections by the County of the HVAC and newly installed electrical subsystem passed without incident. When the systems were totally in place and operational, ED handled the paperwork required for us to obtain rebates for energy-efficient appliances. Based on our experience, we can recommend Environment Doctor without qualification.

When working with any company, I try to be clear with my expectations and educated about what I want them to do. I am very pleased with the Environmental Doctor company's service. Under the previous owner, I first did business with them more than 15 years ago. At that time, the company installed a whole-house HEPA filter, Radon mitigation system, and Reverse Osmosis water filter. Altogether, the company has done work for me on 3 houses, including mold removal and mitigation. They are not the least expensive provider, but their attention to quality and service is better than two other HVAC companies and Environmental Doctor is only one I still use. Quality service is worth a premium when it is consistent and Environmental Doctor has not disappointed me.

We thought this company was an answer to prayer... Our home had toxic mold and another company had already tried to scam us by painting over the mold. We got smarter the second time around and hired an IEP. I suppose we didn't get smart enough because although they did better than the first company, they failed to complete the job to contract specs then made a deal with our insurance company to get an unauthorized payment. Once they got their money they bailed out on our family leaving us to settle things on our own. Highly dissapointed! Update: This contractor contacted us regarding our review. We did adjust some of the ratings as we did feel that although the work was inadequate and they did not prove to be honorable, that they were better than the first company. They made claims about extra costs and when we tried to resolve this by asking for invoices to justify the additional $7-10K they have refused. It seems that since they got their money they have no interest in actually making things right, just maintaining their reputation. We have done what is right and have re-evaluated their score, however if there were a score for integrity we would grade them an "F".

As we were preparing for some remodeling work in a basement bathroom, we noticed some mold in the bathroom along the baseboards. In one spot, there was a little bit of black powdery substance. We were not sure how serious it was. We called Environmental Doctor for an assessment/estimate. The estimate was free. What we appreciated most was the honest assessment that it was very minor damage, not a health risk, and could be resolved with cleaning and drywall replacement repair - that we could do ourselves. We greatly appreciated the honest estimate - requiring no services from Environmental Doctor. We would call them again if needed.

I really like this company. Originally I did not know them, but as part of a house purchase, the selling realtor recommended this company and included a quote for radon mitigation. I decided to go with the recommendation and was pleased with the attention to detail in the work on the radon system and their willingness to take extra time to get things right. So when I decided to go from all-electric to gas furnace and water heater, I asked them to bid on the larger project. The owner is very friendly and LISTENED to me. He was able to tailor the project to fit my budget constraint and worked with his wholesalers to get me a good price on nice equipment. The installation went very well and I am pleased with the quality of the metal work and installation. The job was well done and everything was cleaned up properly. The company went well out of their way to help me. I did have a small chimney fire during the project and they offered to help with some items that were in no way part of the scope of the work. They even lent me company equipment such as air scrubbers and cleaning supplies at no additional cost. Finally, this is a ONE STOP SHOP! You don't need separate bids from HVAC and plumbers. This company has them on staff and you won't have to fool around coordinating a larger job with several contractors. I cannot stress how convenient this is. This company is very responsive and does quality work. I would definitely use them again.

It was a very complicated project, and I think they did really well. The other companies that I didn't use were not even willing to take it up.

The owner of the company came to my house and provided the estimate. He was very professional and courteous. Out of all the companies I talked they appeared to be the best. The installation went smoothly, my wife said they where very cautious. So, you are probably wondering why I gave them a D? Well, One day shortly after the installation I noticed the radon pump was not running. I started flipping breakers to see what was the problem. After some experimenting I determined they had wired the radon pump to a leg of a 220 circuit used by our base board heat. This did not seem like a good idea. To verify my concern I called a certified electrician. The electrician confirmed my concerns, indicated a few code violations, the consequences that could occur from this, and said this should be fixed immediately. I called Enviro Docs and explained the situation. Brendon (the owner of the company), immediately took action to determine how this occurred and corrected the problem. I believe the issue was resolved to my satisfaction (after a few pride issues had been set aside and he determined I was correct). Why the low rating? Most of their marks are high because all of the employees were very nice and professional. However, I cannot get past the fact that the company created a serious safety issue with their installation. Because of this I must sadly say I will never choose this company to preform any installation in my house again.

THEY ARE VERY RELIABLE, COURTEOUS, PUNCTUAL, AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY CAME ON TIME AND LEFT NO MESS BEHIND. PERHAPS THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE HIGH, BUT NO ONE IS EVER HAPPY PAYING MONEY, SO THAT INFLUENCES THE GRADE.

MY FURNACE NEEDED REPAIRING A FEW WEEKS AFTER THIS COMPANY CAME. THE MAN FIXING MY FURNACE SHOWED ME THE DUCTS AND I FOUND THAT THEY WERE VERY DIRTY BECAUSE THIS COMPANY DIDN'T DO WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO. I AM STILL TRYING TO GET MY MONEY BACK.
