Emily's Housecleaning

Nearly two years ago I went in search of a reliable and trustworthy company to help alleviate the stress of keeping up with my house. At the time I was working two jobs and just could keep up. My husband suggested I find someone and I took to Angies list to find some help. I interviewed over a dozen companies/ individuals. Juan and his wife Estella were at the top of Angie's list with an A rating and when i met them I understood why. Juan was courteous and polite. Other companies I had interviewed had the most bizarre pricing and cleaning schedules. Juan told me anything I wanted clean to simply tell him and for a flat fee it would be done. After my first cleaning session I was sold- my house looked beautiful and smelled great!!! Juan and Estella have continued to clean my house every other week for the past 2 years and in fact he also now cleans my neighbors house! I have never found them to be anything but trustworthy and wonderful people. My little boy loves when Juan comes and he follows him around the house. Juan is always kind and silly to him and we are very grateful to have such lovely people providing such a wonderful service! I can't even begin to say enough wonderful things about these people and i highly suggest them!

Juan and crew are fantastic. I have used Emily's House Cleaning for over a year and a half, since before the birth of my second child, and I will happily employ them for many years to come! They are pleasant, efficient, professional, gracious, and thorough. I am very comfortable with them and inviting them into my children's lives. It must be said that I am equally comfortable taking off with my kiddos and leaving them alone in my home - in fact, I prefer doing so because coming back to a wonderfully spotless home is such a treat!

Juan and his crew are excellent! I have been contracting their services for the past 15 months and they are wonderful! Every time they clean my house, it smells wonderful and looks fantastic! I have two cats and there is very little cat hair when they are done. They even vacuum the furniture for me. They are there while I am at work and I have never had a problem or worried about the house. I have recommended Emily's to several of my friends and will continue to do so. Can't say enough good things about these wonderful people.

My house always smells and. Looks clean after they are done. I am always amazed at the things They do like cleaning the toaster oven and emptying the waste cans.

Juan and his crew are very thorough and pleasant. I am comfortable leaving them alone in the house. They clean for me on a regular basis. I have found that confirming our schedule on the phone works well. Juan communicates any special needs or concerns I might have with his crew. I am very satisfied with their work.

I have used Juan and his crew for about 2 years. I have employed others before, but Emily Housecleaning is the best for me. Always polite, cheerful, and hard working.

They responded quickly but I did not use them

I discharged Emilys Cleaning service because my house smelled like dirty rags. One of the cleaners did not speak English and the other broken English so they did not understand how I wanted things done. I was dissatisfied with the service. I do not remember the dates of service nor the cost at the time. Two long ago.

I was really anxious to get some help with cleaning so I went on angie's list and found Emily's Cleaning service. They were so highly rated--I was looking forward to meeting them and getting a quote for our house. I called them and we agreed on a time to meet. They couldn't make it out for a week but I didn't mind; it seemed they were worth waiting for. I hurried home from my office as we were supposed to meet at 6pm at our house. I got a phone call on the way home about 20 minutes prior to 6pm from someone who wanted to confirm the directions to our house. She said the GPS wasn't working right and they wanted to get directions to my house. Well, my husband and I waited and waited, and just when we were about to give up on them they showed up at 6:25pm. I told my husband that this wasn't a good sign but they were already there so we decided to show them the house and get a quote anyways. Juan and his wife were very nice and took notes while we walked around. We discussed cleaning supplies and what things could be used on what surfaces. They said in the end they would like to clean the whole house to give them a better idea of how much time it would take them and then they could give us a more accurate estimate. They didn't have an opening for another week to actually clean, so at that point we decided to go ahead and have them clean in a week. Well, they never showed up. They were supposed to come over at 8am and at 8:30am my husband called me at work and said they hadn't showed up and that he was leaving the house and that he wasn't going to wait for them anymore. I called the service and they said they had been waiting in our driveway for a half hour and that they had knocked and my husband wasn't there. We have security cameras and they never were there!! They flat out lied. I was shocked given the good reviews, but there was one "F" review and I should have paid more attention to it. I thought it was an aberration since the others were so wonderful. I looked at the reviews today and now I see that other people have said the same thing as me. I didn't understand why they didn't just call me and tell me that it was more than they could handle right now or that they didn't want to do the job?? Crappy service, I wouldn't recommend them at all. Check out some of the other highly rated cleaning services. Apparently Emily's is busy enough and doesn't need or care about new business.

After reading all the great reviews for this company, on here, I thought I would contact them to clean my house. I called and left a message and called several times after that. After not getting a return call, I tried messaging them through Angie's List and still have not gotten any response back. I am really disappointed. I have had to look for another house cleaning company because I needed services quickly. I am just really disappointed.

Juan and his crew arrived exactly on schedule. There were four crew members including Juan and they were here for 90 minutes, starting work from the minute they walked in the door. I asked that my old hardwood floors be mopped and DRIED, and they did an excellent job. My hardwood shines now! And they left my smooth top range looking like new! Juan was very considerate and asked about any possible allergies I may have to any cleaning products before they were used. Overall, I think they did a very thorough job, and I plan to use them maybe 3 times yearly, and for special occasions. I can't really comment on the price, because I didn't get any estimates from other companies.

The cleaning went well. A neighbor let them in and then paid Juan after they were finished. He did not give her a receipt, but said he would send us one. When we did not receive it after two weeks, my wife sent Juan an email asking him to send it to us. We have not as yet received it. We do have a bank photocopy of our cancelled check.

We have used Emily's Housecleaning for several years now. While we do the light cleaning, they are excellent for the big jobs. For example we'll have them here again as we have been away for 6 months. They are efficient and effective. I recommend them to friends.

Entire house cleaning, approx. 3600 sq. ft. House was covered in dust from a total kitchen renovation that encompassed 2 months of no cleaning. They did an excellent job! My bathroom sliding doors have never been so clean!!! Wonderful family business. Very kind, excellent service. Would definitely recommend and WILL use again!! Thank you Juan and crew!! I have been using Emily's Housecleaning since January 2012 at two addresses. It is a family owned & run business. Juan, his wife, Estela & their young daughter, Emily came to my home to meet me, see the home, describe their services & give me an estimate. The initial cleaning fee, $150, was more. The next one was less, $120. Now It is $110 for monthly cleaning. At the first address, they had difficulty reaching the high ceilings to reach the cobwebs but otherwise, everything was fine. At my current address, everything is cleaned acceptably. What they do well: They bring their own supplies. Honest - They have a key. Nothing has ever gone missing. Careful - Nothing has been broken. I was particularly concerned about my orchids & they stay away from them as asked. What they could improve: Scheduling - I am very busy (why it has taken 21 months to write this review) & would prefer to have a set schedule of when they clean. I have so far been unsuccessful at communicating this request. For awhile, I had to find time to call & schedule. Now Juan calls. When they collect the trash, they mix it with the recycling.

Juan arrived on time and took a few minutes to survey the house. He gave me an estimate and we agreed ot begin work. 2 ppl spent approx 4 hours and got into every detail. All were very kind a professional. Thank you for a job well done.

I've moved to another location and needed my condo to be professionally cleaned for renting purposes. Juan and his team did a great job cleaning my condo. The team cleaned my entire house and it looks and smells like a brand new place. I would definitely recommend and use him again.

The gentleman arrived and went to work. He asked me to show him the vent and register locations. He provided a brief description of what he was going to do. He air dusted the vents, vacuumed the vents & registers, and cleaned furnace. Meanwhile a coil was attached to my furnace to clean the duct work. The process took 3-1/2 hours but well worth it. Too soon to tell if it helps with allergies. I will update review later. There is a noticible difference in the air quality and furnace performance. I would definately recommend...price, professionalism, and results

It didn't go. I never received a phone call or email follow up to my request. Very unprofessional.I requested a return phone call and or email as I was interested in getting someone to clean our house, and never received anything. . If they are not interested, they could at least have the courtesy to let us know.. Not a very professionally run business, nor would I recommend them to anyone.

I called the number listed at noon on Friday, Juan answered immediately. He was very friendly and accomodating. I explained I needed a cleaning asap of the house we're in the process of moving out of. It was empty, but definintely needing elbow grease. He said he could come out Monday, but I asked if he could come any sooner. He was able to do 7:30a on Saturday. He came out, we walked through and he quoted me the price and immediately got to work. They are very efficient! They were in and out in 3 hours. I did a final walk through with Juan and the place was sparkling! Cleaner than when I moved in (scary)! Very happy customer!

Juan and his crew did a great job. He provided an estimate before starting the work and completed on time. The tile floors and bathroom floors were cleaned and disinfected. Everything was spotless and well done. He had a lot of positive reviews on Angie's List and I must say he lived up to his top billing.

I left a phone message and they returned my call that evening and scheduled an estimate appointment. They arrived promptly on the day scheduled and I showed them what I wanted. I am getting ready to have all the rooms painted and wanted to make sure all the surfaces were wiped clean and dusted. This was in addition to doing a regular whole house cleaning. An appointment was made for the following week. They work as a family (4 of them) and they bring all their own supplies and equipment. They did a great job and were fast too. I forgot to look at my watch but I think they were done in less than 2 hours. The original estimate was $140.00 but after I gave him my Angie's List coupon and my senior discount, the total was $120.00. Very friendly and religious family. I will definitely use them again. No problems whatsoever.

Not behind the toilets bathrooms were not clean as what we liked..

The man met me in person and provided me with a very thorough and a very reasonably priced estimate. I found him very personable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. The only reason we didn't go through with it was because of a scheduling conflict.

Upon calling Juan, he was very polite and friendly. I scheduled an appointment for my estimate 1 weeks in advance. Juan simply did not show up. I called after waiting for 30 mins, and did not reach him, he finally called back after 5 mins and apologized for not being able to make it at the stated time. He promised me he would come in 1 hour. Ok no problem. Two hours later...no Juan. I left a message...no response. The next day, there was no call apologizing for his lack of professionalism. If he couldn't make it it would be better the re-schedule than not to turn up at all without even a phone call.I must say I am EXTREMELY disappointed. Based on the reviews I expected much better. I had other friends waiting for me to review his work so they could hire him as well. Guess not.
