His name is Edmund Sasak. He is very meticulous. He worked very hard to match the brick. It was really hot and he was up on the roof all day long in that heat. He suggested putting on a chimney cap and where to get them. The only negative is that it is sometimes hard to get hold of him. I would use him again.
Description of Work: I used E S Masonry & Glass Block to do chimney repair. He rebuilt some of the lining and replaced the cap and sealed the brick.

He rebuilt something in my chimney. He charges $30 an hour. He is very reasonable on price. Overall, he is good. He is not easy to get in touch with.
Description of Work: I used the services of E S Masonry & Glass Block for masonry. I last used them in 2008.

The work done was excellent. The propriter, who did all of the work, was through and completed the work in one day. He took great care not to damage any of our windows or our front door with the dust and debris from the process.
Description of Work: Had my brick porch tuck pointed by this company.

The step is very well done and quite lovely. The long concrete porch is not level, but this mason was able to made the step level with the door so it all looked well. That took a lot of know-how and talent. He was easy to work with and gave me several different options on how the work could be done as well as several samples of paver colors to choose from. Overall, I was very pleased with the completed work and the mason.
Description of Work: He put in a step (5.25" high, 17" deep, 85" wide), up from the porch to the front door, using extra bricks from my home and topping them with pavers that pretty well matched the multi-colored brickwork.

We had originally called because caulking that a previous owner had used to seal cracks between bricks was separating from the bricks and we wanted to get it repaired correctly before winter. We were also concerned that the skim coat on the footer of our half wall was buckling badly. As Mr. Sasak walked around with us, he noticed a couple of other places where the mortar was cracked or separating from the bricks. We also found out he could repair the cement cracks in the entry/patio. Mr. Sasak was behind schedule because he had been out of town because of a family emergency but he told us how long he thought it would take and gave us a rough estimate based on his hourly rate. He was able to get the work done in a little under the time he estimated. He was very careful to be neat and cleaned up the area when done.
Description of Work: Mr. Sasak repaired some of the tuck pointing on our brick house and replaced a few of the bricks. He removed and repaired cracked/crumbling mortar on the footer of a half wall by our driveway. He also fixed some large cracks in the cement of our entryway and patio and he ground down the cement in some places on the patio where one slab of concrete was higher than another.
