This may not be their problem, but they could not get through to the main line. About three years ago I was told that there was a problem in the line that might eventually have to be dug up. But in this case the thing I was really unhappy, was that he said he couldn't get through and I thought well, maybe it's the problem. But what I was really unhappy about, was when he brought the tree roots out, he left them just lying in the yard. And the big problem was he left the cap off of the entrance into the sewer of my line, and an animal could have got in. Fortunately I discovered it and I was able to get plastic and got the tree roots up and also got the cover back in. I called the owner and I said I had a problem and was it customary for them to leave the roots right there, and he said no. I told him too about the cover that was not there. He apologized and said that he would talk to his workers and make sure that it totally would not happen to another customer again. The one that came out wasn't so professional, but the owner was. The thing is that this may have been an isolated incident, because I have used them a few years ago and it was OK.

We woke up to the nightmare of a strong urine smell in the home and a quarter inch of water in our basement. The water softener had regenerated overnight, and in doing so, overflowed the sewer outlet in the basement floor, which by this point appeared to be nearly completely clogged up. We called around, and Dayton Sewer and Drain was able to come out promptly and help us out of our situation. In the end, they had to snake through 140 feet of pipe to find the culprit, which turned out to be a clump of roots that had grown through the sewage pipe. They were prompt, professional, charged an extremely reasonable price for the time they spent, and most of all EFFECTIVE. I can now flush my toilets without fear of sewage covering my floors. I would hire them again in a heartbeat, but I hope to never again have the need.

Had to call on a Saturday when the main drain backed up in the basement. They promptly answered the phone and quoted the exact price. Justin was out within two hours, got the job done and back out in an hour. He was very professional. I would use them again.

It was fine. The price was reasonable. I've used them before and they're very nice people. They're clean, prompt and I think it's a family-owned business. They don't quote anything that you don't need to have done, they're pretty realistic, they go straight to unclog, they don't say anything to you. We rate them very highly.

The gentleman showed up within 2 hours of being called. My husband tried to fix the clog by removing the elbow pipe. He broke it . We hired a plumber to repair it, but the plumber would not unclog the drain, so I called Dayton Sewer and Drain. The work was done quickly and neatly. I am very happy. This is the second time I have used them and have been satisfied both times.

I THOUGHT THEY WERE A LITTLE EXPENSIVE. THE CONNECTOR WAS DEFECTIVE, SO THE WORKER HAD TO GO GET A NEW ONE, AND THEY CHARGED US FOR THAT HOUR OF WORK. WE KNOW IT WAS NOT THEIR FAULT, BUT WE WISHED WE COULD OF SPLIT THE COST, SO IT WOULD BE FAIR.
