Description of Work: DHM did a complete kitchen remodel for me. They weren’t the cheapest, but the quality of work and professionalism was very good. Make sure you understand the scope clearly and what materials you can reasonably expect to receive with regards to allowances, i.e. stone, tile, etc. as these can affect the overall price of the project significantly. Description of Work: Provided consultation and an estimate to remodel our master bathroom. Excellent responsiveness to all our requests for information, advice, estimate and revised estimates. Very professional in advise, conduct and interactions. Clearly very experienced, especially for home in our price range. We eventually chose another contractor, but only because what we finally decided to do was outside Dayton Home Remodeling's business focus. We will be using them in the future.

Description of Work: We worked with Dayton Home Remodeling to remodel 3 bathrooms. I am extremely happy with their work, their price, and their professionalism. The whole team was fantastic from sales to finish. George did beautiful work and was great to work with. He had to overcome a serious leak in one room and result was amazing. You would never know there had ever been a problem. I now have 3 fully functional, beautiful bathrooms. When it is time to remodel our kitchen, they are the only people I will call.

Description of Work: I used Dayton Home Remodeling for remodeling and to build a handicap accessible bathroom.

Description of Work: Remodeled entire laundry room to include removing washer and dryer to garage for pick up by charitable organization. Installed new washer and dryer. Replaced old dryer vent with new flexible metal vent. Installed a white interior dryer vent cover. Removed old tiles from the floor and prepped slab for installation of new ceramic floor tile. Installed and grouted new floor tile. Removed all wall and ceiling board and installed new dry wall. Painted all walls in color of customer's choice. Refinished ceiling in decorative white. Replaced most electrical fixtures to match color of painted walls. Painted electric floor heater in matching color. Lined the laundry room with white floor baseboards. Replaced old ceiling light with can light that matches upgrades in the basement den and hallway. Removed old wooden shelf and replaced with newer white metal laundry room shelf. Repainted all plastic laundry fixtures white to look like new. Replaced old black floor baseboards in kitchen entry with white floor baseboards. Upgraded ceiling lighting in the basement family room and hallway. Removed family room ceiling fan and replaced it with a can light. Replaced two old light fixtures in family room entrance and hallway with matching can lights. All can lights in basement now match. Installed porcelain ceiling fixture in garage with light switch installed in the kitchen entrance next to existing kitchen and garage door electrical switches. .

Description of Work: Complete bathroom remodel of large master bath. Removed and replaced everything. They did a great job, stayed on schedule, tried to keep the area clean and the noise down. I couldn't be happier with the whole process.

Description of Work: I had a drop ceiling/soffit removed in the kitchen which resulted in the upper cabinets being taken down and new ceiling and wall drywall to be installed. I also had pass thru cut in the wall between the family room and living room.

Description of Work: My wife and I originally contacted Mr. Mike Mergler at Dayton Home Remodeling through the Dayton Better Business Bureau along with two other Home Remodeling companies in our area to get a free estimate on having our Master Bathroom Remodeled. Out of the three contractors contacted, one failed to provide an estimate and left with a we will be back in contact with you negative attitude. They looked at the work we wanted done and made a few suggestions, but failed to provide an estimate or get back in touch with us. The other contractor was much more professional and friendly, however his advice and estimate seemed a bit high for the moderate quality of materials he planned on using. It was a hard choice, but Mr. Mergler came across as the most friendly contractor who really listened to what we wanted done, was up front with us about the mid-grade materials he uses, and he had a crew available to do the work. We were so satisfied with the quality of work done on our bathroom that we asked Mike to allow the same crew to remodel our downstairs shower room. We were so impressed with the hard work ethic, quality of work, and friendly interaction we had with the Dayton Remodeling Crew that we called Mike again to give us a quote on having our kitchen remodeled. Once again Mike came in listened to what we wanted to do, made suggestions on design and products, so we asked him to remodel the kitchen if the same crew was available. Our bathroom, shower room, and kitchen were the main projects we asked Dayton Home Remodeling to do, however we were so encouraged by the Dayton Home Remodeling crew's efforts that we asked Mike if they could do a few Handyman type jobs around the house. We had Dayton Home Remodeling do some interior and exterior painting, refurbished and painted all the doors throughout the house, and install a new storm door in our basement entrance. In fact, we asked Mike to give us an estimate on how much it would cost to replace the doors, and he recommended saving money by having the doors refinished and painted. What sold us on Dayton Home Remodeling is the kind of honest man Mike is, as a contractor he could have kept his mouth shut given us an estimate for installation of new doors instead of recommending ways in which the customer could save money. We have continued to contact Mike on several Handyman type items that Dayton Home Remodeling simply does not handle. However, we trust Mike to recommend to us someone we could trust to do the project. We had just moved into this older (1968) fixer upper in mid-November 2011 with a desire to have contract work started after Christmas. Dayton Home Remodeling delivered on time and went far beyond our expectations.

Description of Work: Bathroom remodeling, installed new ceramic tile floor. Retiled walls and installed a new shower in master bathroom. Also, installed new faucets in vanity shower and bath.

Description of Work: Contracted to redo a small bath (replace tub with shower, replace drywall, replace flooring, replace toilet, vent exhaust fan properly, move heat/AC duct). UPDATED JULY 21, 2012: UPDATE OF PREVIOUS REVIEW FOR THIS COMPANY. The "rocking toilet" with the broken flange was repaired.
