DARK STAR MARBLE & GRANITE

After several trips to the location to select the material for my counter tops, I finally chose one. It was only a matter of weeks before they came to template my kitchen (first they had to demo the old ceramic tile counters, no easy task). We were without counters or sink for 2 weeks (all known in advance). The installation went smoothly. They counters look great and really have only 2 seams. They did a great job with their layout to make the seams barely noticeable.

Project went smoothly. The sales department was very helpful.

Very professional and clean. Work was done according to schedule. From contract to install, it was a 25 day process. I think their process is ideal because they temporarily tear out (then re-install) the old counter 2 weeks in advance of the final install. That allows them to evaluate the cabinets and recommend any repairs in advance of the installment date. You know the new counter is going to fit well before the installation!

I have beautiful granite countertops now.

Stephen was easy to work with in the office and helped to find a slab we loved within our budget. The templater and installers were there exactly when they said they would be. The counters look great and we were able to use a local company and avoid the big box stores. I have other family members that have used DarkStar and we all agree that they do a great job.

I have had my granite countertops for almost 4 years. I love them! The salesman and installers at Dark Star Marble and Granite were great! The salesman answered all of my questions and gave me all types of information so that I could make good decisions. The installers were professional and very good at their job. I absolutely recommend them to anyone would wants granite countertops. I would use them again!

Dark Star is a great company to work with. Since I am not a very decisive person, the process of selecting granite took us a long time.(several months) Our salesman(Steven Datz) was very personable and professional. When we actually found the slab of granite that we wanted, Steve was patient and determined to give us the best layout of the granite pieces. Installation was super too. The workers arrived on time, completed the job, and cleaned up before leaving. The granite looks just beautiful.I would definitely recommend Dark Star to anyone looking for granite countertops!

We took our sketch to Dark Star for a quote after visiting several of the and quot;big boxand quot; stores for quotes. Our salesman Craig told us that he would email a quote in a day or so. We got the quote which was fully $1000 less than any of the big box store quotes and included a heavier better quality sink. We called and arranged for them to proceed. We went to their yard to select our granite. They told us that we could go to their suppliers if we did not find anything in the yard that met with our approval. We found the perfect slab of granite to do our job. Ours is a small kitchen so we were able to get the whole job out of one slab. The selection of granite was quite extensive in each different price category. Because our job was relatively small, the cost to upgrade from grade to grade was very reasonable. We were also told what the cost add would be for alternate edges and treatments. Overall we were very pleased with the price and proceeded with the order. On the day they came to make the template for the counter tops, they removed our existing counter tops. Before they left they re-installed the tops so we could continue to use our kitchen during the fabrication period. When they came to install the new tops, they arrived when they said they would be there, they brought enough men to do the job safely and quickly. They first leveled our existing cabinets which were badly out of level. They adjusted our dishwasher in the cabinet and installed the new sink and a new faucet which we purchased on line. They were very professional. I was so impressed with how at ease I felt with these men working in my home. They spent extra time explaining the care and cautions that every new granite owner should be aware of. They spent extra time to make sure that the area was clean and that our kitchen was ready for use. We had a plumber (Howerton) come in to install new traps and disposer and reconnect the dishwasher, which was our choice. Dark Star would have reconnected those items, but we wanted all new plumbing under our beautiful new counter tops. Overall, I would rate Dark Star a 10 out of 10 for service, ease of doing business and providing what was promised. As far as their price, I would give them an 11 out of 10. Best price and more flexibility in providing exactly what we wanted. I would recommend this company for work in your kitchen, bathroom or any area that you need lifetime quality to enhance your home.

They came out and measured the countertops and the island. They told me exactly how long it would take to have the granite put in and they were there to the day. I had an issue where I wanted them to reseal around the backsplash and they actually came back twice for me. They were absolutely wonderful. I went to another company and the very same granite for the same job was quoted 2,000 dollars more. You won't meet a nicer group of people to work with.

It was excellent progress. They helped us pick out the granite. Everything was done exactly on time when they said it would be. The end result was very nice.

The contract was in my hands within 24 hours after Maggi was at my house looking at the work. It was broken down by each piece and we could choose what we wanted to do ourselves and what we wanted them to do. Maggi was great and she was so helpful. I highly recommend this company. I am extremely pleased with their work, their promptness and their professionalism - and with Maggi.

Salesperson Maggie Schmist gave the in-home consultation & measure. Send estimate w/options for granite groups (various grades of granite), 4" vs full backsplash, edge options. Helped us select granite slab at Daltile showroom and scheduled date to have template made. Template makers (Josh & John) removed counter tops & disconnected water supply. As a favor did a temporary reconnect for water until install date. Two weeks later counter tops were installed. We had to coordinate a visit from our plumber for the day after the granite was installed to install the faucet and reconnect the water supply. The installers will NOT do this. The template making and installation are done by different people.

Great; very easy to work with. Installation was top notch. We needed to have a seam in our countertops based on the cabinet design. The seam is not even noticeable.

Great job. Very smooth template making as well as installation. The template creator was very sharp-asked me questions I hadn't thought of and suggested creative options. Only hiccup was some leftover silicone on the countertops but Susette came out the next day and removed all of it.

Dark Star was the BEST! We had received estimates from 3 other granite installers, but we felt that they were nickel and diming us to death for things, such as counter removal, sink disconnect, etc. We were able to choose our own slabs of granite from 2 major suppliers in the area. The other companies had limited us to what was in stock in their warehouse or have it installed sight unseen. Dark Star was able to get to us quickly and all of the representatives from sales to templating to installation were absolutely wonderful! Everything was completed on time and in budget. Could not have had a more pleasant experience!

We had estimates from a number of companies and received the best price from Dark Star. We worked with Heather at Dark Star. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. She helped us select two beautiful slabs of granite for our countertops. Installation was right on schedule and very well done. Our new countertops are terrific. We highly recommend Heather & Dark Star.
