We hired Citywide in the latter part of 2022 to build a 2600sq foot basement project out of nothing but a concrete slab with 10 9; ceilings. We basically had a walkout basement with nothing down there... We added a professional Hair Salon to Code... several rooms and an office... The entire crew was very good. Wait till you meet his main Framer... Mike was very professional thru the entire process and explained everything and then some. The project itself exceeded my expectations as well as the completion time frames. Pricing was very fair considering the enormity of the project. If anybody ever is in question about Citywide ask Mike for my contact info and I would be more than happy to give a referral and/or completed pictures of the job. We had our basement remodeled and can't be happier with how things went. Mike was extremely knowledgeable and responsive, the entire crew was always on time and professional, and the basement looks outstanding! We have gotten raving reviews from everyone that's seen the basement and our family is so happy to have the extra space to enjoy together. After initially reaching out to several companies and getting outrageous estimates or dealing with no shows for meetings, I'm so thankful I found Citywide! I would highly recommend and will consider them again for future projects.

The owner only cared about coming in to take his payments. did not care to address concerns. They left everything to the workers and let them do whatever they wanted. The project took forever to complete.

Mike and his team were AMAZING!! After several experiences with sub par contractors we finally found one that explained the entire process, kept the project with budget, and finished on time and completely. The entire team had excellent customer service and excellent craftsmanship. Our basement remodel included excavating, full bathroom, and a legal bedroom with additional living space. Every person on his team was outstanding! They even put up with my senile dog who would bark the entire time, and also sing along with my daughter to sponge bob while they were working. In addition anytime we had a question or a concern they would always take the time to explain. After a few weeks we started to consider them family. Hire these guys!! They will not disappoint! :)

Mike and his team did an exceptional job finishing my basement. His team was courteous and professional throughout. The basement project included a large bar with counter tops, cabinets, fridge, freezer, back splash tiles and glass shelves with LED's. Mike and his team met the expectation spot on and I'm extremely pleased with the work. I would highly recommend this business for any project in the future. Professionalism, attention to detail, overall quality of work, effective and immediate responses and overall communication skills along with courtesy are all 5 stars in my book. The price was fair and accurate with minor overruns. Great job!

Mike and his guys did a great job on our remodel, we are very happy with the finished product. Mike was thorough and honest in his explanations of the scope of work and pricing. He identified possible issues, spoke of previous experience with similar projects, was receptive to our goals and ideas, and is overall very knowledgable in his field. The workers were respectful, reliable, and professional. Communication about scheduling was a bit inconsistent, projects elsewhere were in various stages of completion at the time, overall we would definitely recommend.

Mike Scott finished my basement. The framing was extraordinary. All 2by 4â s were so straight. I complimented Mike and he said he cherrypicked them himself. The studs were exactly 16 inches on center. ( Only a guy who finished a basement himself before will understand this but the framing was a thing of beauty) Drywall work was excellent. No issues at all. Painting was perfect. Shower, vanity, and toilet were perfect. Dependable and responsive.

We had a huge deck built and the price was outstanding!! They came when they said they were going to, very reliable. the price was right on the money. I recommend Mike to anyone who needs a great contractor.

We do not recommend this company to anyone for the reasons outlined below. In a nutshell, we had numerous disagreements with the contractor because it came down to the he-said-she-said situation. In our opinion, the contractor was trying to give us cheap (inexpensive stuff) to maximize his profit - when the verbal agreement between us was that he would use mid-grade stuff (vanity, carpet, insulation, etc.). Mainly, he did not finish the work and shut down his company stating health reasons (COVID), and stopped responding to our text messages. He did not complete the last phase of the work, which included major expenses like carpet, toilet, painting, vanity, door hardware, etc. It is easy to see that the last phase was not very profitable for him. We called and texted him many times but there was no response. We were worried if his crew had been tested for COVID because we were in contact with them - but no response from him. His crew was decent- but it was a nightmare to deal with him! I have texts/call screenshots to support all that I mentioned. Saving them to file an official complaint. We hired this company to finish the basement. The signed contract was that he would prepare a plan and obtain permit from the county. There were NO specifics about what type of material (vanity, carpet, etc.) would be used. The verbal agreement was that it will be mid-grade. When the work started he told us that there would be NO plans because HE (Mike Scott) had chosen to waive the plans. The inspection was also done over facetime (video). (That is when he told the inspector that we waived the plans-which was news to us! -Then why did he charge is for permits and plans?) We never received any document for the permit. He was giving us a low-grade carpet and would want to charge us extra if we went with mid-grade (35-40 oz) carpet. He wanted to charge extra for vanity because according to him he had quoted for $150-$200 vanity - when there were NO specifics in the written contract. He would quote us without showing what he is quoting us for-- then we would choose a carpet he would say it is not in the budget! Same with everything... We selected mid-grade stuff-(that he promised us--) he still would not agree- made our life hell!!- he wanted to give us weird color carpet - red, green - basically outdated stuff. When we asked for a certain style and color he wanted to charge extra. Everything we liked turned out to be an upgrade!!!!!! In summary, we did not have a pleasant experience overall. If you want to simply sign checks and let them do what they want then this company may be for you. For us, we were deeply involved in this project and wanted things done a certain way and to our satisfaction

Good quality work

Told me it would take 6-8 weeks to construct a 20 x 40 garage took him 8 weeks but they only worked 1 day a week on my job he had 17 other jobs on going at the same time and he is not proficient

Track permits sooner

Many thanks to Mike Scott, I now have an additional attached garage, the likes of which I had been told for 33 years would never be permitted to be built. I have a custom-built, full-sized extended length wheelchair van which is too tall to fit in my original garage. Thus it had to remain outside in all kinds of weather for 5 years. On occasions of freezing weather following rain the under-vehicle wheelchair lift would freeze up, causing me to miss medical appointments. My new garage allows the lift to be deployed for boarding while the van is safely stored inside. Mike initially met with me several times to establish how my complex needs could be met within the constraints of strict township zoning codes as well as county and state building codes. This was all done before any payment or commitment was requested. For the duration of the project Mike repeatedly demonstrated a strong concern for meeting my needs and a joy in doing the work he was doing. He took care of all drawings, permits and inspections while keeping me informed every step along the way and addressing my concerns. The project also involved major upgrading of my home's electrical system from a 100 amp fuse type main panel to a 200 amp circuit breaker type main panel and 100 amp sub panel in the new garage. This also involved moving the meter location to an outside wall and adding a mast for the service entrance. The original garage door was also replaced with a new one matching those on the new garage. The gable ends of the house roof were covered with siding matching the siding on the new garage. The roofing on the new garage was selected to match the house roofing. A new concrete driveway with an additional curb cut for the new garage was also added. The overall appearance is attractive and integrated. People would stop to look giving a thumbs-up as they drove away.
