I had an unfortunate and unexpected passing of a pet and she left a bit of a 'reminder' in one of the rooms. Mr DeChamp was VERY understanding. I called at about 1pm and he came out at 5pm- totally understanding of my situation.He spent about an hour and did a great job. It is really nice to know there are still such caring people in the world.

After we had put up our Christmas tree (fresh cut), we noticed that it was soaking up an exorbitant amount of water.

We kept having to refill the bowl.However, about the third day, I went down to fill the bowl and noticed that the area around the stand was SOAKED. I looked and looked and there was not visible crack.However since it was wet, we had to replace the stand and move it.

After we had moved it, we noticed an area about 2.5 feet in diameter that was soaked. We also found a crack in the bottom of the base. So essentially we had water the carpet with 6-7 gallons of water.

We called the company and they came out that day (2-3 days) before Christmas. He came out and analyzed the situation and used a moisture sensing device to determine that the floor was damp in an area about 4 feet in diameter.

He used a wet vacumn ( I believe it was a rug cleaner) to extract all the water that it could. He then opened up the rug at the seam and brought in a blower to pump air under to carpet to ensure is dried and did not mold / mildew.

He came back on Christmas eve to remove the blower and reseat the carpet.You could NEVER tell there was anything wrong with the carpet.

Now nine months later, I can say, there is NO evidence of mold or mildew!
