All work exceeded the specifications made by my structural engineer. Brad went above and beyond to ensure that everything was well supported and installed.

I called Carpenter Home Improvement after a section of fascia came undone on the facade of my house after a windstorm. I was very lucky to get Brad, the owner, who was actually in the neighborhood and agreed to drive by and take a look in-spite of his tightly packed schedule. I was so impressed at how meticulously everything was done. it is the kind work that you hope for from a contractor, but rarely get. It was clear that I was dealing with a perfectionist, who really takes pride in his craft. After he was done with the roof, I decided to shamelessly push him to install a chandelier that has been sitting around in the box for quite some time. I own a house that was built in 1902 with plaster and lath ceilings, so the task was not an easy one. Once again he delivered above and beyond my expectations (even patched up some of the ceiling cracks). If you are looking for a highly skilled, honest, responsible handyman, who is also a good human being look no further. I will definitely hire again.

Brad was very personable and friendly. He fixed the handrail and made sure it was the correct heighth. I will definitely call him again!

Brad did a professional job

Great, he did a wonderful job and in was very professional but friendly. We were on a tight time schedule because the house was due to be painted the following week.

I contacted Brad and he responded quickly and made an appointment to evaluate the work and quote a price. He is a very friendly and gregarious person who was easy to talk with and appeared to be knowledgeable about his profession. We agreed on a price and he began work the next week. The work was done and completed in a timely and superior manner. I felt quite confident that he did not take any short cuts in completing the tasks that needed to be done. He was able to match the outside color of paint exactly even though I didn't have any old cans or record of color numbers. He works well without supervision and does an honest days work. The one or two adjustments I requested were completed immediately and cheerfully. My only complaint, and it is a minor one would be that he is a little lax on keeping receipts for input costs. He tends to keep those in his head and I'm sure he did so honestly in my case. But if you are a customer that insists of seeing receipts and documentation for every expense associated with a job, you might be disappointed. Overall, I would highly recommend Brad for any repair or remodeling job for your house.

Brad came in to help complete a full kitchen remodel after I had fired the original contractor. Brad essentially had to undo the beginning of an installation by the previous contractor because the cabinets which had been installed were not level. There were a series of other issues which also had to get addressed as well which were very time consuming. Brad had an excellent attitude and knowledge about the issues which needed to be addressed. He walked me through the details and always explained thoroughly what needed to be done and why. He has a meticulous attention to detail which shows in the quality of his work. He leaves no stone unturned and does not cut corners in any way in the quality of his work. He called me into several decisions to make sure I understood what he was doing and why, and asked my opinion on many decisions before he made them. Brad's knowledge and skill set is expansive. He installed a microwave, an oven, a sink, faucets, the kitchen cabinets, cabinet hardware, base moulding trim, adjusted a bathroom faucet for me which had been installed improperly from the previous contractor, and painted walls and ceilings for me in three rooms. I couldn't be happier with the quality of his work and would highly recommend him to anyone. My only *complaint*, if you would even call it that, is that I like things written down in terms of bids on jobs and the work which is being bid. Brad kept these details in his head, but I wrote them all down to make sure we didn't overlook anything or forget anything. However, I never felt he was being dishonest with me about anything. It is simply a detail issue that I'm persnickety about. He's bids are fair, he is straight forward, his workmanship is excellent, and his crew is excellent as well
