+ -1 moreWe've had carpenter ant problems since we moved in last year and had several different companies come out and spray, but the ants always come back. Kevin took the time to walk my entire house, top to bottom, to look for the source. He explained every step to me and was so helpful. He did an interior and exterior spray and so far so good! Not a single ant.

+ -1 moreHe was prompt. I was given a window of 8 to 10 am and he arrived right at 8am. He answered all my questions. He sprayed the entire house, garage, and outside. He was professional and friendly. He instructed me on what to do for the safety of my pets such as how long they should be kept indoors following the outside spraying. He explained the warranty and told me to call if I needed them to come back. Great job!

+ -1 moreThey have done a pretty good job. They are due to come out for the first time this year in the next month or two. They seem to be pretty straightforward. They don't try to pressure me on anything, which is good. I have not used many pest control companies to compare them with. I would use them in the future.

+ -1 moreThey were fine. They were really great and nice. They said if there were any problems, they would be back at no charge. They were really great to work with. They were very knowledgeable about different critters that we knew nothing about. We had dogs for 9 and 13 years and a cat for 9 years that we had to put down in a 3 or 4 month period and we were still having a flea problem in one of our rooms. We didn't understand what was going on and they were fantastic about coming out and really helping us to get rid of the problem. It was good. We had some crazy critters, mosquitoes and bugs outside that they also took care of. They can't carry certain chemicals together and we didn't realize that so that was why they had to come out multiple times. They were really good about not carrying and mixing certain chemicals which some companies do and it is not good if you have children. It could cause health problems and they only carried certain chemicals on certain days for safety reasons.
Description of Work: We used Brown Pest Control three different times. They did the inside and outside of our house and our out buildings all three times. We have a 4-car garage and a shed.

+ -1 moreI've been using them for 15 years and never had any problem with them. They come out monthly to check out termite bait traps. I guess it does the job. I am very happy with them. They allowed me to break my yearly payment into several installment payments so I appreciate that. I see no need to switch at this time. I will continue to use this company.

+ -1 moreWe are very satisfied with Brown Pest Control's service. They arrived as scheduled on day one of the service. They executed the installation of the and quot;trapsand quot; quickly and without disruption. The entire perimeter now has these little green service wells, about 8-10 feet apart, that are just a little to big to confuse with sprinkler heads Brown comes to visit their traps (just like they said they would) frequently and are always as friendly as they were before we became their customer. They have a (no additional cost) pay as you go plan. Splitting the initial cost into payments. The statement offers us frequent feedback opportunities. This is clearly a family outfit. Not a miserably corporate entity, not a weaker sole proprietorship. Seems to me that they are in this for the long haul
Description of Work: We were unfortunate enough to have termite infestation hit our home. We were unfamiliar with the merits of and various solutions and courses of action. So... we did a lot of reading the web, and then we interviewed four A rated Angie's list pest control contractors. Two of them presented the kind of solution that involves injecting a poison into the ground. Two of them presented Sentricon based solutions. Brown offered Sentricon (baiting). We decided against the poison based approaches because of: Higher initial cost The holes that must be drilled into garage floors and stoops and landings would present an unattractive permanent reminder of the treatment. While the history of the poison based solution was told to be long and reliable (as presented by the seller)... there was much discussion on the web (and by one of the poison's sellers) that indicated that any gaps in the poison's placement would be exploited by the termites. We selected Brown... once we understood how a bait based solution would be effective on an existing infestation. To poison sellers worked to convince us that once infested, baiting wan't a good solution. because Brown convinced us that they would become a partner in eliminating the infestation with frequent visits to the bait stations that they would install, and by providing a long term approach that would require several years of their service to eclipse the initial cost of the poison solutions.

Description of Work: Excellent experience! We ended up with a hive of bee's under our siding. One call to Browns, one visit...no bees! Serviceman was very courteous, on time, and apparently did a great job!

+ -1 moreBAD! They did not show up at the scheduled time. When I called, I was told the information got in his Friday work... could he come back on Friday? I was so angry because I had come from Columbus on THURSDAY to meet with these people. No, I will contact another company that is more efficient.
Description of Work: Called to schedule a time for an estimate for termite exterminating. They were very nice and made the appointment which was most convenient for me on Thursday August 28, 2008.

+ -1 moreEntirely trouble free. The service is paid yearly, and well worth it. They have found termite signs a couple of times over the years, and added more of the bait stations. We save all the door hanger monthly reports, may want to sell the house someday.
Description of Work: These guys use the Sentricon system for termite control, and we have used their service for 10+ years. They come about once a month, and leave a little door hanger describing what they did (my favorite report is "no activity seen").

+ -1 moreTHEY BACK UP THEIR WORK. THE FIRST TIME THEY DIDN'T GET ALL THE ANTS BECAUSE THERE WAS A COLONY AND THEY HAD TO DO IT A LITTLE AT A TIME, BUT THEY DID COME BACK TWO MORE TIMES. THEY'RE ALWAYS HERE BETWEEN THE TIMES THEY GIVE.
