Thankfully Melissa emailed back in under 5 minutes!! She told me she would have someone come out to my house Monday after 1 pm. Kevin showed up to assess the situation. wouldn't you know the critter poked his head out to see what was going on? Kevin grabbed the ladder and ran toward the house trying to catch the critter right off the bat! (Who does that?) No luck. Critter went back into the soffit. Kevin quickly set the trap and by 10 pm that critter was a goner. My son heard it and alerted Barnes. (Remember, this was the night before July 4.) Now, what to do? Not wanting it "on display" for the fourth, Kevin had covered the trap but there was still the idea of hot weather + dead animal... Melissa called about 11 pm, explained they are a 24/7 service and have several crews. Someone would be out in the AM. Kevin showed up at 9 am back at the house --on his day off no less -- retrieving that guy and resetting the trap in case of more. Barnes is a great service company: old school, great work ethic, show up when needed and see the job all the way through Can't say enough positive things. Will share price when job is done but so far, it looks good. If you have any questions about wildlife, do not hesitate to call Barnes. They will walk you through an otherwise awful situation. Thanks Barnes.
Description of Work: Barnes Wildlife Removal has been a godsend and I could not recommend them more highly. When we thought we might have a critter/critters in the crawl space above the attic, I wanted them out ASAP. Looking on Angie's List I found Barnes. I called and sent an email (from their website) on Sunday night at 5 pm ---during a summer holiday weekend. I thought I wouldn't hear from anyone for three days.

Barnes Wildlife Control answered all my questions on the phone, explained what they thought had happened, explained how it could be best handled, and gave me an accurate estimate of the cost. They were at the house later the same day and found the access point. They set a couple of traps and had the raccoon within a couple of days. (This was during a period of really cold weather and I don't believe the raccoon left the attic for several days.) They removed the raccoon and reset the traps to make sure everyone was out. Within two days they had a second raccoon and removed it, too. After verifying there were no more intruders they sealed up the access point leaving no evidence there had been a breech. They kept in contact with us daily and were very responsive. The cost was very reasonable and I was very happy with their work. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommended them to anyone.
Description of Work: We had at least one unwelcome guest in our attic but didn't know how it was getting in. We needed to remove the pest and stop any others from gaining entry.

Drew, the technician, completed the job about a month and a half ago, and we have seen no evidence of mice since then. We are more than pleased! Sealing the entry points also stopped our insect problem. We live in the woods and thought we would just have to live with spiders, crickets, etc. But even though the goal was to prevent mice from entering, it has kept the other critters out, too. The price seems fair for all the entry-point repairs, trips to check traps, and sanitizing fogger in three separate attics.
Description of Work: Trapped mice in our house, sealed all entry points, and sanitized the attics where mice had taken up residence. Also cleaned leaves out of the gutters.

Captured 3 racoons in traps, and removed 1 kit from attic. Installed vent plates over all the softit vents, installed metal over the racoon hole on the outside wall (matches the color of the siding). Myke knew what he was doing, and performed most of the work. Unfortunately, the metal soffit covers weren't quite long enough to cover the entire existing vent holes, so I hope critters don't start chewing there and get in again). Very happy to have the racoons gone!

Once we noticed we had an animal in our attic, I called Barnes Wildlife Control and they came out and set traps for the raccoon. Kevin was great! Called before coming out, prompt, knowledgable, confident and friendly. The traps were set, repairs were done and the attic was checked to make sure it was clean. Great job!

Raccoon tore a hole through the siding and also put a hole in her roof. Apparently this was her second nest in the attic, so there was a huge mess and lots of dangerous feces. I emailed Barnes Wildlife Control late Thursday evening and had quickly had a response that William would be there early the next morning. William set traps and put a temporary patch on the roof to prevent rain from entering the attic. By the next day, all the raccoon had been caught, so William permanently patched the hole in the siding and fixed her roof. The repairs were very professionally done. He cleaned and disinfected her attic to prevent contamination from getting into her furnace and her living space. He was incredibly kind to my mother and explained every step he took to fix the problem, even following up a couple of days later to ensure all was well. I used Barnes Wildlife Control late last fall to get rid of moles. I had such a great experience, it was the first company I called when my mother had a problem. Another terrific job!

Jacob came out the same day I phoned him about the possibility of bats in Mom's chimney (my thought initially because of the screeching noises).? He did a thorough inspection of the chimney and attic areas and quickly determined Mom had raccoon, not bats in the chimney.? In less than an hour he was successful in removing all but one (as yet undiscovered) raccoon.? The next day when I phoned him about the possibility of another raccoon, Jacob came out the same afternoon and removed the last one.? Jacob is so friendly, efficient and professional, we asked him for an estimate for cleaning Mom's gutters and taking care of the downspout problem.? He provided an estimate on the spot and returned less than a week later to install the new chimney cap, clean the gutters, and correct the downspout drainage problem.? We checked the basement area last week after a heavy rainfall and there was no water in the basement!? Jacob thoroughly explained the options for animal removal, the techniques used etc. He was fast and efficient in all the work he performed, climbing in the attic or on the roof several times, taking photos he shared with us, wearing foot protection while in the house and sanitizing the areas he worked in.? All work was completed per Jacob's estimate.? We would definitely use their services in the future if an incident arises!
Description of Work: Jacob caught and removed a mother raccoon and three young ones in my Mother's chimney on his first visit and another young one the next day. He measured and ordered a custom chimney cap which arrived in about four days' time and then returned immediately to install the new cap to prevent future habitation. Jacob also cleaned the gutters and installed and redirected the downspouts on all four corners of the house because rain water had not been draining properly and was leaking in the basement.

They were able to schedule me quickly the first time I called. I especially liked their goal of capture and release to a different location. They tried several different methods to capture the squirrel alive and had to come to the house 4 different times. Each time I called, they were able to come quickly and were always punctual. I appreciated their friendliness and professionalism. They even wore covers over their shoes when they had to come in the house. I won't hesitate to call them again if needed. I would definitely recommend them.

I thought I had a squirrel in the attick, as I was hearing noises in the attic and have had a squirrel removed from there before and wasn't sure all of the access points had been properly sealed since. The tech came over the day we scheduled. He had finished the appointment before mine early and called ahead to see if he could come out to my house early. He set up three traps with cameras and let me know that he would contact me if he trapped anything. I liked that I didn't have to worry about going up in the attic to see if he had caught anything. He looked around the house and did notice one access point that had not been sealed off and gave me the estimate to have that corrected. After several days of not catching anything, he advised he thought it was probably mice I was hearing and told me the best measure to rid the attic of them.

They came out to give me an estimate, and from the start were very upfront and transparent. They were very professional and did a great job!

Barnes Wildlife was exceptional in helping with my problem. The house is part of my late parents' estate, so it is unoccupied currently while it is being remodelled. Barnes made the process of removing the nuisance animals extremely easy - they monitored the traps, removed the animals from the premises, and expertly sealed the areas of concern - where the animals were entering the house. Jacob and Pete were extremely professional and very easy to work with. I highly recommend their services and will use them again if I have a similar issue.
Description of Work: Barnes Wildlife Service trapped the raccoons that were living under the house and sealed the spaces where they were able to enter. They also did a full inspection of the house and determined other spaces that rodents could enter. They filled those areas as well to ensure that no animals are able to get into the house.

Barnes Wildlife Control professionally pulled off a messy and difficult biohazard remediation job. They completed the following tasks: 01) Safely decontaminated before removing all attic insulation and carpet that was soiled by raccoon urine and fecal matter. 02) Thoroughly sanitized the bare attic and the whole house below. 03) Thoroughly sanitized the furnace, water heater, and dryer hookup and ventilation areas. 04) Replaced the fire hazard non-compliant drywall panel on the ceiling of the furnace closet with code approved plating and tape. 05) Installed new ductwork between the furnace and a ceiling return because the old one was chewed out by the raccoon. 06) Mounted the ceiling return and installed a new filter (left a whole box of extras for future use). 07) Replaced missing ductwork for the bathroom fan. 08) Replaced the bathroom fan switch and wiring. 09) Thoroughly vacuumed out the floor-based ductwork. 10) Installed new insulation to achieve an R-Value of 49, both above the living area and the garage. 11) Installed new drywall in the attic and below a half bath sink to repair areas that were soiled or punched out by the raccoon. 12) Installed two new galvanized steel gable vents and a piece of steel plate over a hole in the wooden soffit to remedy the damage caused by the raccoon. 13) Enclosed an open roof vent in a galvanized steel cage to keep critters out of the attic. 14) Disposed of all the properly bagged insulation, carpet, and miscellaneous debris via a huge industrial dumpster. Jacob, William, their whole crew on site, and administratorat their office were professional, efficient, patient, courteous, and punctual despite the insurance bureaucracy and difficulty of the tasks that had to be completed. We are extremely happy with the results of their work and would heartily recommend them to anyone with similar issues.
