Do not use this contractor! This guy is a total scam artist who initially sounds and acts knowledgeable and professional, but just until he cashes your checks. Won’t finish the job and does shoddy work. When you point out areas to be corrected/finished, he claims you asked for it to be done that way, lol! I’ve hired another contractor who has to finish my job and correct the mistakes (siding cut short, trim cut wrong, leaky gutters, etc). I’ve reported this company to the BBB and the Atty General and will be suing him to recoup my damages. Be warned, and avoid this giant HACK!

Prior to buying our house, Apex installed a new roof. Several years later, two contractors doing other work let us know that they saw serious installation issues, including not installing a vent for bathroom fans and concealing that a ridge vent was not properly installed. Apex's owner continuously dodged my calls and emails and when I did get him on the phone and expressed my concerns, he started yelling and swearing at me. Without evidence, he claimed that the installation was correct and, even if it wasn't, that the 40 year warrant was invalid (also without evidence). In the end, we had to pay more than three thousand dollars to another roofer to fix their mistakes. That roofer explained that he was not surprised and has run into numerous Apex roofs needing to be repaired because of poor installation and deeply unprofessional service.
Description of Work: We requested that Apex come try to address issues with a prior installation. They did not.

I called this company and spoke with Zack who seemed very professional and nice and knew what he was talking about. I signed a contract with him for a flat roof repair cause I had a leak which caused some ceiling damage. I paid the required cost and was given a written contact with a 5 year warranty on the work. After roof was repaired I fixed the ceiling and shortly after it was leaking again in the same spot. Called them they came back out and said a small pin hole was missed and they patched it and it seemed okay for awhile. Patch or whatever they did, did not hold and it started leaking again. My husband called this time and had to get upset to get them to come out. They came again and tried to say their was another rip that was new probably from the tornadoes. Which we were not in the tornado zone. I sort of feel like that statement was a way of putting the issue on something else other than the original work they did. But they did agree they would fix it. They put a temporary patch up and Zack said he was going to come back out to do the job himself. This was 2 weeks ago. I called again last week to see when it would be fixed he said by the end of the week or the beginning of the following week he did apologize and said he has been super busy with all the jobs they got from the tornadoes. I told him I understood and I asked him to please communicate with me if he could not make it since we expected him to come and no one showed up. He said he would make sure he would let me know if he was unable to make it. Here we are a week later still no call or communication and no resolution. Now I’m sitting here still with a leaking ceiling with a pot on the floor catching water and a big hole in my ceiling from the water damage. I paid for a job to fix a leaking roof and the work they did has not fixed my issue and frankly is still causing water damage. At this point I’m starting to think they are not coming back and I’m being put off because they already have my money and they are only focused on the jobs where they are collecting money on.. Zacks excuse for being busy is they have a lot of jobs from the tornados. I’m happy they have enough business to keep them busy but you should not put off customers that already paid you for a service that is not holding up to the repairs you did. My contract says I have a 5 year warranty on the work they did and it has not even lasted a year before it started leaking again. I did not want to leave this review because I don’t like to throw people under the bus and I try to understand things happen. But at this point I feel it’s the only way to get their attention since Zack has not been in touch or came out to my house to fix my roof as promised. If I do not get a resolution I will be contacting the BBB and also taking this to small claims court to get my money back for a service that was not performed properly. I have my receipt with the warranty I have as well as the phone conversations we have had with Zack recorded I did this to protect myself so he cannot lie. This is why people do not trust contractors. If someone pays you for a job do it right. If it’s not done right you should do everything in your power to make it right. Don’t offer someone a warranty if your not going to honor it. And don’t tell someone your going to do something and not follow through. Care about people and your craft not just the dollars you are collecting from them. I expect a call from Zack today regarding a resolution on my leaking roof I paid for that is still leaking. I don’t want an excuse I just want a resolution. If your thinking of hiring this company I suggest you look elsewhere I would not want anyone else to have the experience I have had with this company. They are very hard to get ahold of. No one answers the phone it’s goes straight to a voicemail and you have to wait for them to call you back.

These folks are great, the owner Mike is great, but his manager Zack is the best. When Zack tells you he will be at your house at 3:30 you can set your clock. Also I have not dealt with another company in a very long time that is as honest as Zack (Apex) has been with me, he has walked me through the entire process and never, I said never been late or told me wrong about the first thing. I would recommend this company and Zack to help with any thing that you need taken care of on your home.
Description of Work: Roof, fascia, windows and closet. The closet needed repaired and painted because of water damage. The roof and windows and fascia needed to be replaced because of weather damage.
