Our furnace quit on Monday night, we called the big name company that we'd used when we first bought the house 2 years ago since we were familiar with them. Attempted to sell us everything and anything they could, minimum of $890.00 up to $8000+ for a new system. Included scare tactics about carbon monoxide, which is a very serious concern, I agree, however, to use that as a selling point when it's unnecessary is wrong by all accounts. By using a camera they could "see what could be hairline cracks in our heat exchanger". They, most likely, were scuff marks left behind by their camera scope. Frantically trying to decide what in the world we were going to do, we were extremely fortunate to have been referred to John & crew. Offered to come out that night (7:30-8:00), just to take a look, no charge. How nice! However, we declined since it was so late and texted him pics of the areas of concern. He arrived the next morning as promised, diagnosed the situation, removed the part that he knew was faulty, went to get the replacement, returned, installed, monitored the system with detection devices, determined there was no CO leaking, furnace was working properly. Very helpful, friendly, honest, efficient, would recommend him to anyone!! We will have him out in the spring to go over our a/c as well! THANK YOU JOHN!!

Excellent. He arrived, found the problem, fixed it and left. AirChanics is a winner in my books.
Description of Work: My furnace was not working. Mr. Peed came out and found the problem immediately and replaced the fuse. He was professional and charged me much less than what I was expecting. It was a breath of fresh air dealing with someone who wasn't out to rip you off. I am posting his business card at work, and would highly recommend this company to anyone who is in need of repairs.

The job went very well, and they cleaned up thoroughly afterward. They even took the extra precaution of covering both rails and the carpet of our curved stairway to prevent any possible damage from carrying the furnace up. We highly recommend AirChanics of Ohio for any HVAC installation or repair. For quick response to your HVAC needs, Mr. Peed offers his cell phone number (937) 479-7958.
Description of Work: John Peed and His assistants installed two new top of the line Amana HVAC systems (furnaces, ACs, and digital thermostats) after our previous systems were destroyed by severe hail and lightning storms. Even though they were quite busy with the damage these storms had caused in our area, this company was committed to getting our new systems up and running for us as quickly as possible by working into the evening and during the weekend. Despite the extreme heat in the attic, they persevered, working several hours in the very hot attic, to get that system in first to get the upstairs (bedroom area) cooled again.

Overall Mr John Peed (owner of Airchanics of Ohio, LLC) did an excellent job. Because the units we selected were High Effeciency Mr. Peed had to order them from the Goodman factory. This really only took a few days. Then in order to give us a great price he did all the work himself. This install may have taken a bit longer (7 days) than when two or three guys show up all at once, but his attention to detail and the "Great Price" more than made up for any delay. (we planned the installation during the fall and really did not need heating or air conditioning during this time anyway) Mr Peed has assistants he can call on for faster install, but we were interested in keeping the price down and not necessarily in a quick replacement of these units. You may want faster service in the middle of Summer or Winter and I am sure he can provide it.
Description of Work: Installed new High Effeciency Furnace and Air Conditioner Condensing Unit plus all new Copper Tubing and Wiring with new Thermostat. (This service included removing all the older units and disposing of them)

I was very satisfied with his work and his prices are very fair. I recommended him to my friends, family, and clients. He has been in business for many years. He previously worked with his brother and now he is on his own.
Description of Work: He came out for a routine cleaning service call.

Needless to say, we had John do the repair and were very pleased with the service. He was efficient, neat and clean with his work, and volunteered tips for making our furnace and AC more efficient. I have since referred others to him, and they have been equally impressed with his knowledge and honesty.
Description of Work: Repair of our 15 year-old furnace. After getting a diagnosis and bid to repair our furnace from the company that had been servicing it for the past 5 years, I decided to get a 2nd opinion. John Peed, owner of Airchanics, came out to give a diagnosis and bid. His diagnosis was exactly the same as the previous technician had made, but his bid to fix it was $198 less (almost 50%) than the bid from the previous technician, using the exact same brand-name part. Although the labor for the repair was about 10% less, the biggest savings was in what John charged for the same part.
