Description of Work: Left voice mail and sent email asking that they contact me regarding basic in home computer clean up/de bug~and I did not even receive a return call or email. Bad customer service.

Description of Work: Through cleaning of files and hard drive. spent over 10 hours (had to take laptop home) . Installed security programs.

Description of Work: For some unknown reason my computer was doing all kinds of unusual things. I was getting error messages...and little pop up windows I had never seen before. Then it just crashed. Of course it was a Saturday, who would be available to even look at the computer?? I went to Angies List and found "ACE Home Computer Helpers" and they offered Saturday hours. MY husband called and Dan answered and said he'd be out to check the computer in about 20 minutes. Within 20 minutes Dan was here ready to work! He kept us informed every step of the way as to what he was was finding, what needed to be done, etc. The security protection we had obviously was not the best as it had let a nasty virus attack the computer... one that even Dan wasn't familiar with. Dan was able to remove the virus, recover files, installed a suberb Internet security to not only my computer but my husband's laptop. I can't speak highly enough of the great Customer Service we received from Dan, he was extremely professional, always upfront and honest with what was going on, the pricing was fair. We just couldn't be more pleased with Dan and ACE Home Computer Helpers"! We would HIGHLY recommend to anyone with computer issues.

+ -1 moreThe system failure stopped production on a newsletter that had a near term deadline. The computer been slowing down and had failed before less than three months ago. I had already decided to switch to an apple computer after pnewsletter was completed. Timely repair of the PC was critical for me. I called Dan late Friday afternoon and he came to my house Saturday afternoon at the promised time. He worked diligently and methodically using software tools he brought with him. He answered all questions. At one time when the computer was very slowly processing a command, he left my house to answer a nearby service call, but returned as promised shortly after the computer completed its task. I was very impressed by his professionalism, his diagnostic capabilities and his informed direct approach to fix the problems. I was extremely pleased that he could start working on my computer so quickly and that he finished the job that Saturday afternoon. The PC has worked since it was repaired, which was at least long enough to finish the newsletter and my TurboTax IRS return. Tomorrow I will begin transferring files to the new iMac. Incidentally, Dan also works on Apple computers.
Description of Work: The Window 7 operating system on my PC failed stopped operating. PC lost association for all shortcuts. The technician (Dan, the owner of business) restored operating system to a 2 month's earlier status, scanned and removed malware (which McAfee system had failed to detect), removed many unused programs and programs that had been installed to "clean up" the computer's software, uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and iTunes to rectify system restore timing issues, updated Adobe web products, removed older Java and installed latest 32-bit Java and verified functions, (64-bit version would not install), cleaned up the file system & registry and optimized the system.

+ -1 moreHe arrived, quicky diagnosed the problem, took my desktop back to his shop, did the necessary repairs, and returned the machine to my home the next day and got the machine up and running again. Well done!
Description of Work: He replaced a video board that had failed, physically cleaned the dust out, and upgraded several applications with newer versions.

Description of Work: He came out to my house a half an hour after I called him. I had a computer crash and couldn't get any kind of screen to show up. He figured out what the problem was and fxed it on the spot. It ended up just needing the keyboard replaced. The price he charged me was for service and hardware.

Description of Work: OUR LAPTOP WAS RUNNING SLOW. OUR VIRUS SOFTWARE DID NOT DETECT ANY VIRUSES. THE HOME COMPUTER HELPER WAS HERE FOR 3 MINUTES AND HAD DISABLED AND DELETED THE VIRUS. HE ALSO GAVE US A FREE (AND MUCH BETTER) VIRUS PROTECTION PROGRAM.
