It was pretty reasonable. They were very good. He came right when he said he was going to.

Work was done fine other than the first day when the work was supposed to be done the workers wouldn't grind the stump. I called on their cell phone and they said they would do it for an additional $400.00 I refused, and called the company number. The person who answered the phone agreed that the stump removal was supposed to be included and done while they were here the first time. After they finally finished grinding the stump 2 days later they said they would remove the chips and add topsoil for an additional $150.00. I agreed to that amount and they proceeded. After the work was done and they went back to the shop someone from the shop called and said that the workers were upset because they stated I didn't give them a $40.00 tip. I said it was never agreed to. About 2 weeks later I get a bill from them for an additional $264.69 for "sales tax and topsoil" the sales tax was supposed to be included with the bid which originally was agreed upon. I guess what I'm saying is... I don't like being fleeced for extra money when I already talked to the owner (I believe he was the owner) and other than the $40.00 "tip" was OK. I'll never use this service again, and certainly don't recommend them to anyone else!

They took down four trees. They were supposed to dig the stamps out but they didn't do a very good job. They didn't remove all the stamps so we ended up hiring some to dig the stamps out.

Excellent. I wish he could have pulled the stump out, but he only offerred grinding down to ground level--I need someone else to do the stump. He reuses invoices, leaving details of previous work and dates, but it does the job.

My first recent contact with Aaron's was leaving a phone message about needing to get an estimate about removing a large tree in the front yard and removing a bunch of wold honeysuckle in the back yard. I never got a call back, but since one other company indicated that wild honeysuckle was a pain to remove and might be difficult given the farm fence in the area, I figured they just weren't interested in the job. I got estimates from two other places and had someone else do the work. I had the company who did the work leave much of the wood from the tree in the front yard, and there was already some wood in the back from a previously removed tree that I needed split. I contacted Aaron's about splitting the wood. I called once before I had removed the smaller logs from the area and was told to call back when they could see how much wood was left and could give me as estimate. I called back when that was done, left a message, and a few days later someone called me back. He took the address, asked some questions and said he would call me back in about an hour with an estimate. Three days later, I called THEM back and left another message. When I received a return phone call this time, I was told that I would be charged a half hour drive time to my home in Centerville and that the job had a $300 minimum. Note that their website CLEARLY indicates: "Wood splitting - $75 for the first hour and $60 per hour after the initial first hour. ($125 minimum)." so he MORE THAN DOUBLED the minimum charge! I knew this, and was annoyed, but I really just wanted my wood split so I didn't say anything and agreed. He then asked me to send him photos of the two piles of logs. I did that. That was 4 days ago and he still has not contacted me. If they didn't want to come do the work, they should have just said so, but to not get back to me as promised not once, but TWICE, and then to jack up the fees for the service FAR beyond what is on their webpage is extremely dishonest. Ironically, I would have paid the inflated $300 minimum to have the work done just to get the work completed, but instead all they get is an "F" rating from me. I would suggest that anyone considering using them look at just the reviews here for them from the past year and ignore the ones that are three years old.

I have bought firewood from Aarons a couple of times.They are very responsive however, the wood tends to be large and green.

They showed up exactly when promised and did the job very quickly, and they cleaned up nicely.

I called on a Friday and was given an estimate that day. Detailed and clearly spelled out. Got a couple more and theirs was the best for the work required. Did get cheaper estimates but this was from a company that was not insured or bonded. The team came out and they worked quickly and efficiently. They were easy to talk to and wanted to make sure they did all that was contracted for.

The gentleman on the phone was very quick to respond and set a time to come out. I gave him a description of two pickup loads of branches and tree trunk pieces. He gave me as estimate of $145 for an hour to remove the materials. They came out I believe the next day. When they arrived, they said the pile was bigger than expected and they had also not expected the tree trunk pieces. They told me it would take much longer than expected and upped the cost to $321. I agreed because I just wanted it taken care of and at least they were responsive. It took them less than an hour to remove all the material. I was very disappointed in the price increase when I had explained the job over the phone and it still took them less than an hour to remove the material.

Things went well. The were really fast in performing the service.

I have bought firewood off of Aarons for the last 3 years. Each year a cord. That said, they always have a very good price. Each time I call, they deliver the wood in 1-2 hours in the same day. Yesterday I inspected the wood for infestation. out of one cord, I only found one piece with some old termite damage... I consider that great results. They offer to dump the wood about anywhere and are always professional. Will do business again.

The work crew arrived promptly on the date & time scheduled. The work was completed with the smaller pieces of the wood being thrown in the back of a truck & hauled away. The crew used a chipper to get rid of most of the smaller branches. They raked the rest of the leaves into piles which made it easier for me to dispose of. A few hours later the worker came to grind down the stumps. He knew just what to do. I asked that the stump holes not be filled in with the dirt & wood chips, but left in piles so I could use it elsewhere in my yard. Aaron's left my yard in the condition I expected it to be left in. I am very pleased with the work performed by this company.

The crew arrived and used their machine to cut out the stump. Then they raked up chips of wood and used the leaf blower to clean up the sidewalk and the street. Great job. They were going to use an ax for the roots, but it broke so they used the stump grinder. They were going to clean up the sidewalk with the leaf blower, but they could not get it to work. It was no big deal, I could sweep it. Even with their tools not working they did a good job removing the roots.

I got their contact from Angie's list. Their person came a day before the service and gave the quote. I agreed to the price without hesitation or haggling. Before he left, I walked back to his truck to confirm that they would grind the roots also. He said yes they would and haul away every thing. Next day, after the service people had left, I noticed two piles of grinded tree roots stll lying in the yard. I called their office and after checking with her personnel, the lady informed me that the cost for removing the stuff was $110 more. I was taken aback and called the person who had given me the quote. He told me that yes it was true, it was written on the quote form, in the pre-printed, about 1/3rd down the way. To his credit, he did offer that he would ask his people to pickup the stuff free of charge if it made me happy. I told him, no, that was OK, I will make some other arrangement to remove the stuff. I believe, they should have done it in the first place, without special consideration of making me happy. My unsatisfaction being that the extra charge was not mentioned when the price was quoted, even if it was already there in the fine print. It was also not mentioned even when I waled back to the his truck to confirm that they would grind-out the tree roots. Secondly, even if going by the fine print, that cost ($100 in the fine print) is for any number of tree grinds - charging me the same amount for the two trees would have been overly excessive. Positives: They did apply Angie's List discount to my total, their response was quick and courteous. They performed the job fast and cleanly.

We had a whole patch of wild honey suckle that needed be cleared out. They had 5 guys that came out to do the job. Which made the job get done very quickly and they did a great job. They were very efficient, on time, and hard working. The owner gave us a call back after the job was complete to make sure we were happy with the result. We would use them again and would recommend them to others.

They were not killing the weeds along the fence and missing half the lawn. A tree was growing up the house 14 feet. They did not take care of the flowerbeds. y left the roots on the bushes about 4 feet long and they broke the downspouts. Four big overgrown bushes needed to come out. They were asked to pull them out and fill with rocks. They did not do that.

We lost a large tree limb due to a storm on Friday evening. We called Aaron's Tree Service on Saturday morning. They came out and gave us a reasonable estimate on Sunday and removed the limb on Monday morning. This limb had fallen on our fence and was hovering over a hosta bed and they were able to remove it without harming any of the plants. Everything was cleaned up and looked like nothing had ever happened. We were very impressed and will definitely use them again!

Their estimate was the best. The person who came out, seemed to know what they were doing. They cleaned up pretty well. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. Their tree service was excellent especially for the price. On punctuality, they were right on time. I would absolutely, absolutely use them again in the future. No one else!

I have used this company multiple times. My first experience was because a storm took down one of my trees and they were the only company that could get to it in a timely manner. They were prompt and did a very good job. They took all the debris away, ground the stump out, raked the yard in the area and put down seed with straw for me. Then another time I had them remove 6 mature black walnut trees. They did an excellent job and again cleaned up all the debris. I have used other companies before them who always left work for me to do, Aaron’s did not. I had them out again to make a large mulch bed around 8 pine trees that I was tired of mowing around. They did a great job. It really improved the look of my backyard. So I have had them do a small job, a medium sized job and a very large job; all was done equally well.

I called the phone number on the Angie's list page and got Daryl's voicemail. I left a message with the info to contact me back and what type of service I needed. He didn't listen to the voicemail, he just called back the number I dialed from. He asked for all the information I just left in the voicemail. He seemed rushed, even bothered. When I was asking him about the coupon offer from Angie's list he kind of snapped at me... However, I didn't comment on it and just moved forward. He said he would come out but hasn't. Yesterday I got a call back from him about the voicemail I left. Now he wants my address and type of service needed all over again. Yeah, I don't think I'll be calling back. Thanks, but no thanks.

The work that they did was good, but we had one point of aggravation. The initial person that came out promised that they would do a certain amount of work for a certain price. When the work crew came out, however, we got a different story; they didn’t so as much work that they initially told my wife they would do.

They are very professional and did a good job. It cost a little more than what I thought it would be, but, the tree was laying across my driveway. They have good equipment and did an excellent job.

A company representative came out quickly to provide an estimate, which was very competitive. They proposed to do the work which really needed to be done and did not try to get us to have more work done than necessary. After selecting their company to do the work, we scheduled to have it completed very quickly. The whole experience went very well. They provided a five-man crew who worked very well and efficiently. They had exactly the right equipment for the job (truck-mounted cherry picker, chipper, stump grinder, multiple sizes of chain saws) and knew how to use it expertly. The crew arrived on time, made sure that we were in agreement about the work to be performed before they began, and confirmed that I was satisfied with the work on each tree before moving on to the next one. They cleaned up as they went along, and actually left the yard cleaner than they found it. The crew was very polite and professional. I will call Aaron's first the next time I need any tree work performed.

BEWARE - UNSEASONED, CARPENTER ANT INFESTED FIREWOODThey brought unseasoned firewood which was split into very large chunks. I had to split it further. The firewood also looked like it was rolled in the mud and several colonies of carpenter ants were included at no charge. I would never have delivered firewood like this. Some of the firewood was also cut way too long (27"+). It appears that someone working for this company is lazy or does not know how to handle a chain saw and a splitter. I WILL NEVER BUY FIREWOOD FROM THIS GUY AGAIN. I could have found the equivalent on the side of the road, buried in mud for free.
