My parents are in their 80's. My mother took her phone to get repaired, all it needed was one little adjustment and they ended up selling her a phone, which she really didn't need and it took us 6 months to go back through AT&T to get that resolved and we don't let her go there by herself because the sells reps will try to sell you something that you don't need. My mother doesn't need a smartphone. All she needed was a phone when she's out somewhere by herself and needed to call home, if she's lost or something like that. We ended up having to call the corporate office, the presidents office, in getting her phone bill changed because they wanted to charge my mother 400 and something dollars. Six months to get it straightened out. That's the only company my mother has been with since 1940 something. I asked the president that's how you treat a customer that has been with you since 1946? The president arranged for the secretary to have the bill wiped clean but the damage had already been done. It was kind of sad, that one. You couldn't get me to use AT&T for a phone. I have them for internet service. It's lousy but it's the only one I have over here.
