Really good, it went so quickly he had time to do a small job since he was charging for a complete hour and there was 10min left!!

We had a whole bunch of outlets and switches that would not work. The technician first tested the breaker and determined that it was good. From there it was a matter of following the circuit and testing the current until finding the loose connection. Turns out the switch in my daughter's closet was bad. He replaced the switch and tested all of the other switches and outlets on that circuit to make sure they were working properly. The technician was very friendly.

Explained everything clearly and a great price.

The job was fair overall. Their service wasn't real special, we had some problems. Not pleased it took the service manager to diagnose my issue and paid 200.00 on the first day with nothing to show for it. Average at best is all I can give them on a unit they have installed and serviced over several years. After this repair I was still having issues and service was made on the above unit to correct the problem. The issue ( It was a setting on the initial parts installed before) was taken care of at no charge and has been working for the last month with no problem. I felt it only fair to update this review and give a fair picture of the work done and this company's response. I updated the ratings as well.

They weren't able to properly diagnose the problem and I don't know that I would hire them again. I guess I have to get somebody else to come out and fix it though they were professional, quick and it was good otherwise.

We had an issue. We did not have any problem with the plumbing part. But, some leading information. They did order the incorrect part to be replaced because of a very bad communication. I am not recommending them. Overall, they have a C. I was giving several phone calls before their answer. I am probably not using them again in the future.

We called A-Able on a Saturday because they were one of the few plumbing companies with Saturday hours. We had a leak we could not stop even though I replaced the water cartridge. They responded with a service technician within 90 minutes. He diagnosed the problem and we decided to replace the existing faucets, turn off valves and drain pipes. He provided a temporary fix to our leak and returned two days later to accomplish the work. We were extremely pleased with the responsiveness and the service technician. Would definitely recommend A-Able and will use them again if necessary.

He was really professional and did a good job. He told me how much the work is going to be before the work.

Overall ant activity dropped to nearly nothing within 24 hours. We see a couple of stragglers who don't look well, but other than that a major ant problem has been solved.

Ron was logical and meticulous in tracking down the electrical problem. He finally traced it to a faulty GFI outlet in the upstairs bath. Several electricians were stumped by our problem (or said they fixed it and didn't). Ron is the first electrician to accurately diagnose and correct our failure to receive current in the outdoor receptacles. A-Abel came out promptly when called and Ron showed up on time, calling when he was on his way. This company is on my A-list from now on!

We have used them for heating and cooling. They were professional, prompt and knowledgeable. They do our terminate control as well as our bug control and they do an excellent job. My husband wouldn't have used them if they didn't have a good price, so they must have had a good price.

Purchased a replacement fan and light for the bathroom but was not sure how to wire it properly as there were extra wires for a nightlight which we did not want or need. Called A-Abel at 9am on a Friday morning and by 10:45am, service expert Tom Ross called and was on his way. He was very polite and professional and went right to work up in the attic. He capped off the unnecessary night light and wired the unit fan and light. He then came down to the house and checked all of the wall switches to make sure it was working properly. He even offered to finish securing the fan to the ceiling so it would not rattle. Everything looks great and our new fan is working like we wanted it. It was a fast and complete service call - Tom even explained how he wired it because we could not figure it out - but I think from now on, we will just call A-Abel before we run into trouble trying to be DIY homeowners! We are very pleased with A-Abel based on Tom Ross - I recognized the truck from commercials on TV and Tom told us about all of the other services offered and explained that the company is very careful about providing well trained technicians and that if they do not provide a service, they are always good about recommending a provider who does what we require. I will definitely call again!

Everything went well. They placed a Sentricon system around the perimeter of our house. They also check this periodically to see which units are active. If certain units have had their bait eaten, they record & let us know which units they are, and they replace the bait.

They did a great job, fixed what they were supposed as quickly as possible and even fixed an additional plumbing issue that occurred while they were on site without adding the cost into the bill.

Our electric bill was extremely high and I called A-Abel (based on their outstanding Angie's List rating) to have someone come out and run a diagnostic check on our system. I was quoted $78.50 for one of their technicians to come out and take a look. The technician discovered that our system had only been running on AUX electric heat and the heat pump wasn't running at all. He changed the settings on our thermostat and it appeared to solve our problem. Apparently A-Abel's diagnostic fee only covers 20-30 minutes of work and I was charged $144.50 after my $10 off coupon. The explanation of extra cost..."miscellaneous labor" for $75 because the technician was at my house for 1 hour. Extra $75 to change our thermostat settings? I don't think so! I was instructed by the technician to call A-Abel and argue the bill. The first individual I spoke with explained that their diagnostic fee only covered the first 20-30 minutes and that this was the industry standard. This is new to me as I have used 2 previous companies and was charged $65 and $84 no matter how long they stayed. The second individual I spoke with stated they would talk to the technician and he "would call me back before billing me". One week later the bill is charged and I received no call back. I have contacted A-Abel again and I'm currently awaiting a call back. My second issue has to due with the appointment. I specifically stated that the technician could arrive anytime AFTER 10AM. This is very important to me as I work night shift and turn my phone on silent. 9AM rolls around and i'm awaken from a dead sleep to a technician pounding on my front door. For most people this would be a pleasant surprise; not me. The tech came in, never introduced himself and went to work. At no time after the first 30 minutes did he explain that there would be an extra charge for "miscellaneous labor". I am a first time customer and I will not be using A-Abel for my future heat pump/AC needs.

Actually had forgotten to renew and with a phone call all was taken care of. Gary Barnett who I usually deal with is a very good man and cares about you and your home.

They have done a good job. We've used A-Abel quite a bit of times. They were dependable and they gave good service for a reasonable price. They were very good.

They did a wonderful job. They were able to get to us on the same day we called. He explained what was doing, I was very impressed with him. I would definitely use them again.

We chose Aabel because we are familiar with the services in other areas. We were certain this would go just as well. Boy, were we wrong! The first appointment was rescheduled due to snow. Ok, I'll buy that, the second there was something wrong with his equipment. We rescheduled for a third date (we are really hanging in there) and the tech calls later with an earlier time that he can make it and then never even shows up! Maybe this is not Aabels fault at all, but they are ultimately responsible for the people representing them. I can't say they "came to my rescue" this time.

Jim completely blew us away with his thoroughness. He walked the entire house, measured and inspected the ductwork, made recommendations to tweak the ductwork because there was not as much cold-air return as he felt the house needed. He spent close to 2 hours in the home. He included a whole house filtration system, upgraded of the electrical service to 220Amp, and still beat the price from the other contractors who came out, spent 30 minutes, left and then sent us an estimate. Jim came back with the estimate, and spent another 45 minutes to an hour going over the options and explaining the differences we would see between Oil-burner forced air and Geothermal. We ended up with a Climate Master closed loop system. The multiple teams, electrical, outside well drilling, and furnace installers were all very professional, on-time, and courteous to my family. As great as the installation experience was, the tale of the tape is how the system works after the sale. We've just passed our one year anniversary with the system and I can say it has worked as advertised. We've had them out once or twice now. Once ended up being more of a Q&A session -- (really helping us better understand what we were seeing/hearing) and the second was the annual checkup.

My complaint is not against the plumbing repair work itself. The plumber repaired one of the leaks satisfactorily. The plumber was a nice guy, but he made a mistake. However during the repair process, the plumber flooded my living room. I had to tell him we need to turn the water off now! He said ?I?ll send someone out here to clean this up?. I thought it was safe to assume since he made the mess that he would make good on fixing the mess at his company?s expense, not mine. Company goodwill, right? I did NOT authorize or agree to pay for carpet cleaning. BTW, guess who came to clean the carpets?A Abel. If I?m going to hire a carpet cleaner at my expense, I?m surely not going to hire the same business that caused the damage. Sensing a huge conflict of interest yet? Quite a racquet they got going here. When I got the final bill, I was charged for the plumbing work (which I was ok to pay) as well as the carpet cleaning bill. Until I received the bill, I was not made aware of any additional charges other than plumbing repairs. This house was a foreclosure and I?d planned to replace all the floors anyways, so why would I clean the carpets at my expense? To top this all off, I called several (5+) times to reconcile this with billing and the plumbing service management. They were nonresponsive for 4 weeks. They dodged me, the bill paying customer (???). I left messages; they left me no voicemails or emails until yesterday, stating that they weren?t going to adjust the bill or admit any fault. Overall, D-. Stay away from A Abel. Their billing and management are hard broke.

We have had A-Able do work for us before and so called them again. We had an old electric panel that didn't have enough available circuits for our new HVAC. Jacob was very professional and explained everything that needed to be done. He asked a lot of questions about how we wanted things to look and where we wanted it. The work was done on time and very professional. The electricians that did the work were very knowledgeable and very professional. They obviously had a lot of experience and were concerned that the work be done neatly and correctly Everything looks great and picture perfect. We feel very secure knowing that it was done right. Permits were pulled and an inspection done afterward.

Our upstairs was ALWAYS too hot or too cold. The main heat pump downstairs didn't provide enough heat or AC to the upstairs. We had several companies try to sell us a new or larger heat pump to replace the one we had. They were too insistent on the sale and couldn't explain how that was going to increase the air flow to the upstairs. Jim from A-abel explained why we weren't getting air flow to the upstairs and why just replacing the existing unit wouldn't help because of the design of the house. He did a very detailed examination of each room on the second floor and calculated exactly what size unit was needed and how many vents were needed in each room. The new heat pump was installed in the attic, the old duct work running in the attic (from the downstairs heat pump) was removed and new (better) duct work was run. All of the work was done properly and very neatly. All duct work and electric in the attic was properly secured and done neatly. The technicians were here for a week and were both very knowledgeable and very professional. They were concerned with our comfort and cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day. The new system works beautifully and we now have an even temperature on both floors. Because the downstairs unit runs less, adding a second unit did not increase our power bill. When we need to replace the downstairs heat pump we can put in a smaller unit since it is only for one floor and it will be even more energy efficient. We will definitely be calling A-Abel for all of our heating and AC needs!
