Miller Custom Exteriors/ABC Seamless

My saga began when storm damage in June of 2012 loosened and removed aluminum siding from my house. My insurance agent tried several times to get me to settle with sub-par contractors, then settle with doing half the house, then settle with doing vinyl siding as a substitute for seamless steel siding; dealing with the insurance agent and the insurance adjusters was a whole bad story in itself. After much investigation and several months of trying to get various contractors to even come to give an estimate during their busy time of the season, a neighbor referred my situation to a local home improvement supply business. They suggested this outfit by the name of "Miller" as one of the few around that did metal siding. This business is top-notch from sales to installation. My salesman, Sam, partnered with me during the whole process of dealing with the insurance company and was very valuable to me as a consumer. It took 5 months of arguing with my insurance company to get them to do what they are suppose to do as a insurance underwriter, and Sam stayed with me during that long part of the process. That proved to me that Millers doesn't leave you hanging. They do the work in the right way and just don't slap siding over the structure. It took about 2 weeks to do the job, and at the end of each day they made sure they cleaned up after themselves. Remember, this is in the cold and snow of February, no less! The reality is that they do more than what is expected, which translates to, "we really care about the customer and our business reputation." I have a few very minor things to talk them about, but, overall, there is no better home improvement business that I've dealt with.

They offered a fine answering. They were very professional in estimate, showing reviews especially pictures. I would consider again for a project to get an estimate from them.

Other than not have the work completed by Memorial Day as promised all went well. Shed reroof er was in and out in day. Deck was basically completed by the Memorial Day deadline. Siding was finished today. All of the crews were professional and friendly. They were always responsive to our questions or concerns. They cleaned up daily and kept the site clean. Work appears to be well done and we have hopes it will last with time. When we do another project we will ask for an estimate from them.

We had some work in the attic area that needed to be done. We called Miller Custom Exteriors/ABC Seamless to do the work. They were on time, professional, reasonable and did a good job.

These guys are great. They do quality work and they are very responsive. They are there when they say they are going to be. They haven't quite finished the job yet, but I'm thrilled with their work.

The roof is approximately 16 x 20 and has two skylights. The replacement roof has a 6" "foam" core and is covered with shingles (unlike the original roof). The sunporch is built of masonry cornerposts and kneewall with three walls of awining windows, the fourth being the house wall. I received a quote from the original builder (still in business with the same owner after 30 years!) which was almost the same estimate...so little difference so that price itself was not a dealbreaker. I considered going with the original builder, but Miller's estimate included a shingled roof, which appealed to me, and it's a company that a close family member had recently used on several occasions and had highly recommended. The estimate was given in December, and the work was completed toward the end of March. Most of the wait was because the materials for the roof was special ordered and, of course, weather was an issue when the materials did arrive. I was not distressed about the delay in installing the roof, as I had been told it would be about 8 weeks before the materials arrived. After that it was strictly weather-related, as the roof had to be completely removed in order to be replaced. We definitely needed a completely dry forecast. Two workers arrived promptly with a large work trailer that remained onsite overnight (with my permission) They removed the old roof completely and replaced it with the above-described roof. The worked steadily and professionally, and the sunporch was under cover on the first day. They returned the second day to complete it with the shingles, built-in gutters, and other finishing work. The roof looks great and has been through rain, snow, and mild ice since its installlation in late March, 2013. The clean-up was done well with the exception of about 15 roofing screws that I found in the driveway. Not a good place to find screws! I think the might have been obscured by leaves, etc., that had fallen from neighboring trees, but we could have had a flat tire very easily on one or more tire due to their placement. That's the only clean-up issue I would have liked to have been improved upon. Perhaps they were aluminum screws and could not be picked up by a magnet, but brooming the concrete driveway area might have been an option. Having averted that potential costly issue, however, overall we are very satisfied with the quality of the materials and the workmanship on the roof.

we had new windows (9) and a french door system installed. the matched the interior trim perfectly.

From start to finish, Grade A +++. Do call them and get estimate. Chances are you will get lower estimate, but the work will be haphazard. We had quotes for several thousand dollars less, BUT they were going to put metal over shingles and were told that the leaking would be corrected. Miller tore off shingles, replaced the damaged wood and re caulked the chimney with caulk and flashing and also the same where the entry way attaches to main dwelling. No more water inside.

Very courteous. Did a good job. Would definitely recommend them. If I needed more work done I would use them again.

Our roof was damaged by wind when the remains of Hurricane Sandy passed through Ohio. We called Miller Custom Exteriors and they came out to give us an estimate within a couple of days. Miller's estimate was slightly higher than what our insurance company had valued the repair at. Miller helped us with getting the insurance company to provide some additional funds and also came down on their estimate so we met in the middle. Miller's crew showed up when they said they would and did a complete tear-off and reroof in 1-1/2 days. They did a wonderful job and also did a great job cleaning up when they were done. A few days after the job was complete, they called to make sure we were completely satisfied with the job (which we were). I would recommend this company highly.

My husband and I were expecting just a standard widow and door installation. We were pleasantly surprized. Their work was outstanding! Nothing was left undone. Everything exceaded our expectations. Loran Miller even directed us to Huntington Bank for an ECO Loan point buy down thru the Ohio Treasurer's office for energy effecient products. Ed Miller came out to inspect the final job.The job was completed in four days. Dan and Mark worked full days, were on time and worked steady. They were professional, courteous and friendly. We were pleased with having them in our house. Dan did a beautiful job on the custom oak woodwork. The old storm door they reinstalled worked evan better than when it was new! We are truly satisfied! Can't say enough! Worth the wait and every penny!!!

Workmanship was top grade with the products installed as expected. The work team was very neat, well mannered and professional. The job site was left clean at the end of each day. I highly recommend this company.

They are the most professional company I have ever dealt with. I was one hundred percent satisfied with their work.

The siding was repaired and the color match is amazing. You can't tell where the damage occurred or that Miller was ever there. They were great to deal with.

They were very easy to work with, very respectful, and they did an excellent job. They even fixed a door that had been bugging us for a while.

Everything was great, and we had no issues at all. The workers were professional, friendly, and did a good job. They cleaned up well, too.

Miller Exteriors' work was excellent, and Jason, the crew chief, bent over backwards to ensure our satisfaction. I would advise, however, to check the subcontractors that will be used for the job. The subcontractor hired by Miller for the attic insulation caused damage to the house, but Miller stood behind its work and paid for all the necessary repairs without question.

I called ABC Seamless because I knew their work was great. I would highly recommend them.

The work was satisfactory, but I was disappointed with service overall.

On May 23 of this year, a tornado tore off the tops of several huge white pine trees in my back yard and drove them through my roof, putting at least 16 holes through the shingles and sheathing and breaking one rafter.The Miller crew came out and removed the old shingles, underlayment, and flashing, and hauled away all the debris. This included tearing off a section of flat roof about 8' x 8', which had been leaking for years. They repaired all structural damage, replacing the broken rafter and broken sheathing, then installed an ice/water shield and synthetic underlayment. They replaced the drip edge, chimney flashing, and installed roof vents, and replaced the section of flat roof with a sloping roof. The furnace vent was replaced, and the whole roof covered with an 28-gauge ABC permanent steel enhanced color roof. Finally, they replaced the damaged gutters with 5" seamless gutters and a helmet leaf protection system. The existing downspouts were reinstalled, and snow guards added to the roof above the front and rear patio doors. The crew was professional, polite, and neat, taking only 30 minutes for lunch with no other breaks. The only thing I ever heard was the sound of their tools, and they left the area cleaner than they found it.

We are thankful for all the companies that provided estimates. This company was very professional.

From beginning to end the process was done very professionally. We enjoyed having every member of the crew on our property. They were very respectful and courteous and were very responsive to our questions about the process. Everything from the estimate appointment to the total installation was right on time and we are very pleased with the result. The roof is absolutely beautiful!

We did not spend anything because it was a warranty service and I think they did a good job. They are a fairly honest company and they did the service quickly.

Miller Custom Exteriors was one of three companies bidding on the job, and while they did not have they lowest quote, they proved to be the best choice and well worth it. Many of the windows had special dimensional needs. Because Miller has available windows from several manufacturers each having several offerings, their selection can satisfy most any application. We had an extremely pleasant and positive experience working with Lorin Miller, their president. Their installers, Dan and Mark, were very good and impressively creative in making the necessary onsite modifications to get the best end result. Both the new windows and the work site were left spotless when they were done. We can highly recommend Miller Custom Exterior to give you the best experience and the best final result. The new windows have made our house look so much better than we had expected. We do not think we would have had the same results with the others who quoted.
