Mike and Matt painted my entire 4-story townhouse in about 2 weeks. The job was not an easy one; the house has several 1 1/2 to 2 story walls, stair wells with odd angles, and 30 windows. They also did innumerable other bits and pieces such as partial trim on most floors, dry wall repair, repainting walls several times over when colors were changed, as well as white-washing the garage walls. Mike does a great job; he doesn't take short cuts, and is very professional. He always showed up when he said he would. The estimates in terms of cost and time were right on the money. The nicest thing, though, about working with Mike is that he is so easy to work with as well as being a genuinely nice guy. I am admittedly very particular about paint jobs. He made it easy for me to point out areas I thought could use touching up and took it in stride when I realized that a wall needed to be painted over an entirely different color. As a single woman, I am not always comfortable dealing with contractors or having them in my home. But Mike is a champ -- I never felt uncomfortable being there when they were working or having them work in my absence. He doesn't contract out either. The doors were always locked when I returned. And he always made sure that they cleaned up before they left for the day -- which is really nice if you're living in the house while it is being painted. The house was being painted before being placed on the market. Once it was done, it was described as "stunning" by potential buyers. In fact, the house did indeed sell at approximately the asking price only days after the painting was finished. Yes, I would hire him again -- and am, in fact, trying to do so to paint my new place!

Came promptly...worked quickly, neatly and efficiently. Very friendly. When done they cleaned up their dropcloths, vacuumed, placed furniture in proper locations, straghtened rug then proceeded to return all the smaller tables, lamps etc. that I had previously removed from the room. I was very happy with the work they performed and will hire them again.

It went great. It required two coats of paint... the first coat wasn't completely dry when they were ready to start the second coat. We set up another day for them to come back (that worked for our schedule) to put the second coat on. There were no additional cost involved. I thought that was a great thing to do. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. I will use them again.

We had a great experience with MDS Painting. They were very easy to contact and came out to start the job on time. They were quick and efficient and the quality of work is fantastic. They brought all their own supplies and picked up paint in my color choice as well, which made it extremely easy on my end. I would most definitely hire them again for any other painting needs.

They arrived promptly, got to work quickly, and did a good job. They ended up having to put 4 coats of paint on the walls to make sure the old paint color didn't show through. They cleaned up nicely after the job. The room looks great.

This project went very well. They were punctual, did what they said they would do. Very happy with the way project turned out. Great!

The service provided by Mike and Matt was outstanding! They had a lot of wallpaper to remove, repairs to do, and painting. Mike is a true professional. I was very concerned about the amount of dirt this job would create but much to my surprise I didn't have to worry at all. Mike and Matt did a great job keeping everything cleaned up at the end of the day. MDS is a very trustworthy company and I look forward to having them work in my home in the future. I have a little more wallpaper to be removed and a couple of rooms that need some paint refreshed. Mike will be the first person I call.

Very flexible and easy to work with. Did an awesome job and got the entire thing done within a day or two of me accepting the estimate. Only took 3 days to complete the job. Patched several holes in the wall. Cleaned up all the dust. They used drop clothes and painters tape throughout and were very neat. Already have used them for other properties and will continue to use them in the future. Most painters are very sloppy and get paint everywhere or tape everything off and take forever to complete the job. These guys were not only neat but they were fast! Very satisfied customer.

They're the absolute best, best, best painters! They are very neat and clean, and very easy to have in your home. Their price point was spectacular and the painting was superb. They were honest guys, and I really enjoyed them. AAA!

It was terrific! The guys were on time, very cooperative and did an outstanding job! They went above and beyond. They were courteous, neat and friendly. We added extra work and they earned that extra work. They did such a good job, we found more for them to do!

Mike showed up on time and was very professional. Painting was done neatly, quickly, and for a very fair price. Already had them back for more work and will again soon!

They were excellent. Arrived on time and very professional. One of the men had an injury he was still recovering from so it took a little longer but they came back out the next day bright and early to touch up some spots we hadn't seen at no extra cost. I felt they went above and beyond and were very accommodating to our needs. I would recommend them to anyone

I thought the bedrooms were ok, but some paint on floor and not all holes were patched. Bathroom was not good. Patches were not sanded down. Bathroom door was full of bristles, and painter left paint on floor. Painter did paint ceiling upon request and appropriately primed where necessary. Painter was very responsive.

Mike was very responsive to my request for a quote, which he prepared and returned very quickly. He was willing to do this via email since I provided him with a floor plan of the apartment; this really sped things up. Mike was able to accommodate my tight timeframe to schedule the work. Mike arrived promptly on the day the work was scheduled as part of a two man crew. The work was completed in 2 1/2 days and the results were spectacular. No corners were cut - walls were painted behind the commodes, refrigerator, etc. I don't think these guys know what a drip looks like! We weren't going to paint the kitchen, but because of the way the ceiling vaults from the living room over the kitchen Mike recommended we carry the paint through and that was absolutely the right choice. Caulking along the baseboards added an elegant final touch. We are completely satisfied with Mike's work and will absolutely use him again in the future.

Mike was extremely professional and personable from the beginning, quickly responding to email and quickly providing an estimate. The work is fantastic - very well done by clearly professional painters who take pride in their work. Looking forward to working with them on future projects for my house!

I had a great experience with this contractor! He replied to my calls immediately and was prompt on arriving to the job. His painter was courteous and did an excellent job painting the walls and trim. He quoted me a fair price for both jobs. The stain work on the deck was excellent as well ! I would use this company again !

Outstanding (and that assessment is from a perfectionist who is not easily impressed). Mike is a very talented painter. He really cares about his work and the quality of the work he delivers. He works with his customers to understand their needs and ensure he meets their expectations. Specifically, he did an excellent job preparing the walls, filling in the many nail and screw holes, filling in small drywall cracks, and then priming. Likewise, he did a terrific job of painting, which was no easy task as almost every room in my new home was dark cranberry or dark brown, and I chose to paint everything in light and airy cream colors (e.g., SW Lotus Pod, SW Patience, SW Sand Beach). While a primer and two coats are generally the standard, Mike painted repeated coats until the walls were just beautiful. Further, Mike pays attention to the details which makes a big difference to the final outcome. For example, he noted that there were two trim colors in my home. One to match window frames and one to match baseboards. He took fragments of both to be analyzed at the paint shop to ensure that the right colors were selected and painted. Mike went beyond expectations and generated creative ideas to achieve outcomes. For example, the ceiling lighting canisters in my new home were yellow from age. I was planning to buy 44 new lighting canisters. When I mentioned that to Mike, he suggested taking one home that night and trying some different options to paint them. He returned with a spray painted canister that matched the ceiling paint and looked brand new. Mike spray painted all 44 canisters and this alone saved me $1500! Beyond an outstanding painter, Mike is a personable and engaging individual which makes the task of having someone in your home painting more pleasant. I would highly recommend Mike for any large scale or smaller painting jobs.

Mike and his crew did a fantastic job! They were reasonably priced, neat, punctual, professional, cleaned-up each day and were great painters. We hired them to come back to do the exterior of our home.

Mike Stahl, owner, was swamped with jobs when I read his stellar review already posted on Angie's List. I read all of the reviews and as a perfectionist, I wanted "The Best!". He promptly returned my call and I explained that we had a pipe burst in our home and needed help painting the entire interior of our home. Luckily for us he found time to fit us in his schedule. He showed up each day promptly and painted every room. Along the way, I chose a couple of paint colors that didn't agree with the look we were striving for. Easy going Mike just repainted walls we didn't like color and even an entire room which was just a shade too light. He patiently listened and even helped select our bedroom color which I could have never come up with on my own. I showed him some of our new bedding and he made suggestion on color based on what I was trying to convey. It is beautiful. He removed all window coverings, patched walls, covered all furniture, etc. He is a perfectionist as am I! I would recommend him to everyone who wants their home to be a perfect paint job at every corner and turn. The amount paid was higher than original estimate because I asked him to add so much work. He ever painted my vanities and made them beautiful. Price also included materials. Bargain! Think of how many years you will look at the beautiful colors you have in your home. I have to add that several contractors were involved in the process of putting our home back together over the past 5 months....he has been the only reliable and fair one. Women especially...don't be intimidated. Mike is so easy to work with.

Mike and Matt were both very friendly, considerate and easy-going. Paint job was very good. Did a very nice job completely covering an area on the ceiling that previously had water damage and had peeling paint and plaster.

The service was wonderful. They were great. They were very conscious about their work, they were extremely nice and polite, and they were good people. I enjoyed them. They did good work.

He was great! Mike got everything painted in 3-4 days all by himself. It was great. He did a very professional job. One day before Mike was scheduled to come over and paint my son injured himself and needed stitches. I called Mike and told him and he said no problem and we rescheduled that day... He got it done, done well and I would totally use him again.

Mike called right away to let me know that he was booked through early April. Unfortunately, this does not fit my timeframe. I appreciated Mike's quick response and his honesty.

He showed-up on the day he intended, sent me a text message to let me know he'd be there the night before. Covered everything properly and did an excellent job painting. This was a two story foyer that had to be reached with a ladder on various parts of the stairs and he was able to reach everything no problems. Quoted me the price and stuck to it, did all the work himself.
