A-Tri-County Lock

Jay is very professional and friendly! I very recently took possession of my new home and wanted to replace all of the locks. I called in the morning (Monday morning) expecting to have to schedule an appt for later in the week. I didn't expect to be able to get an appt so soon, especially due to it being a holiday week. Jay took the call and added me to his schedule later the same day! He installed quickly, gave me some very appreciated advice, explained his work and was very pleasant to work with. A+ work and service! I highly recommend him.

It was on Fathers Day and a Sunday and he came right out. He had other jobs he was doing but we were the closest to the job he was finishing. He came right over within 15 or 20 minutes and got her in the house. He did not charge her an emergency fee, very nominal fee and it took them 3 minutes. She was very very pleased.

Jay was great. He has excellent communication skills, arrived on time, discussed my needs and provided options and pricing before service. Jay was very personable! So important in the service industry. He made suggestions for upgrades in the future, including approximate costs, without pressure. Jay worked quickly, gave me updates and cleaned up afterwards. The work was excellent. I was very pleased and will use him again and tell friends. I forgot to print up the coupon and he helped out with that too. I picked him because of the reviews and wasn't disappointed.

Called this afternoon to have my house rekeyed and Jay came out the same evening to do the job, as promised. He was very friendly and professional, taking care of the job in a little under an hour.

Jay answered my phone call on a Saturday, showed up later in the day as promised, and explained everything he did as well as what I could do (should I want to try another DIY) in the future in case this old lock became problematic again. Jay was amazing, trustworthy, competent, efficient, professional and an overall nice guy.

The job went very well. We asked Jay to come to replace locks on my parents' doors and to add new deadbolt locks. He first explained our options and then allowed us to make a decision. He and his helper worked well, were courteous and professional, and did a fine job cleaning afterward. There was a slight problem with the door after the installation that went unnoticed until the next day. When we called Jay back, he was pleasant and agreed to come back to check out the problem. He did so the following day and quickly rectified the problem. He even offered to come back in the summer if we had any additional problems due to the weather changes. We would highly recommend A-Tri-County Lock for your locksmith needs and will certainly use this company again should we need such services in the future.

Fantastic! Jay and his helper did an excellent job and corrected the poor quality work somebody else did. They were fast and knew exactly what to do.

It was awesome! The locksmith answered his own calls (no service or voice mail), and went out of his way to help me by fitting me into his schedule late in the evening so I could feel safe in my home. He was responsive, professional, and just plain good-people. He made sure that everything was secure (pointing out and fixing issues that would have totally escaped my notice) and gave me an Angie's List discount without my even asking for it. Will definitely use him for any needs in the future. Can't recommend highly enough!

When I called I reached A-Tri-County on the first try, not a recording or answering service. They told me the rates they charged--$35 per cylinder replaced and $75 for the service call. There was an Angie's List coupon for 5 free keys for any work performed over $150 and I found a $10 off the service call coupon on their website. Jay Cheyfitz told me his name and said he would come out today. He was agreeable to working around my schedule. When he initially called me back I was not at home, so they went to another nearby job and agreed to call me when they were finished--which gave me time to finish running errands. The work was completed quickly. They lubricated all my exterior door locks, even the ones not being replaced. Mr. Cheyfitz offered some helpful advice and honored both coupons. Both he and his assistant were very friendly and professional. I would definitely use this company again.

Jay came out the same day I called. He found that a screw was loose which caused the 100 year old lock to become off track. He was honest about the issue, showed us how to properly use the lock in the future so that so we don't have the same problem and he only ended up charging a service fee. He was friendly and professional, he gave our dog a treat (After asking permission), and he seems like a really nice person. We will use his services again when we change another lock.

So knowledgeable, professional, friendly. Took extra time to show me exactly how the lock worked...we never really knew! Left 3 additional keys as a kind gesture.

Jay responded to my voice mail quickly and came to our house the same day that I called him. He put on some shoe covers as he came into the house, and after working on the safe for a few minutes, he had it open. As soon as it was open he began collecting his tools and never looked at the contents of the safe. We have three dogs - he showed up with dog treats and was great with our dogs. I highly recommend A-Tri-County Lock - the service and price could not have been better.

I called at 9pm on a Tuesday, i left a message thinking I would not be able to get my house till morning. I precede to call another 24/7 company and they called a locksmith within my area. Jay from Tri-City called me back, he told me how these "other" companies use unqualified personnel and don't even try to save your house locks. They would rather jack the price up by drilling the locks. I called the 24/7 company and canceled before the first locksmith came out and went with Tri-city. When I got to my house Jay was there and the first locksmith from 24/7. This guy tried to tell me his company didn't call him but I told him I did, if Jay was not there I'm sure he would have put up a fight about me canceling. Thank you Jay, not only did he save my locks he saved me from possibly getting a big $$$$ bill and having to buy new locks for the house. I also got into my house that night. Would highly recommend!!
