i am writing this approx 12 years after we had the alarm installed but wanted to recommend them. We recently moved from Warren to Columbus and more recently joined Angie's List to research service providers in Columbus. Howland Alarm is a family company that, at the time, was owned by a sister and brother. They are both great people They are very thorough. Cindy, one of the owners, came to the house and designed a system for our older home. it is an excellent system that is completely hard wired with a cellular monitoring connection. The system was installed by Jesse, the other owner. He is very knowlegable about home construction and how to run the wiring through the house. I think we have a total of 37 windows, 3 doors, plus glass break detectors. motion detectors, heat sensors, and smoke detectors all hard wired. He did an excellent job. The system has been in operation for over 12 years with almost no issues. They have provided monitoring services since the installation. Their monitoring center is local which is a plus. Just a good company all around. Highly recommended

When I changed cable TV and telephone companies, the change of telephone affected the connection to the alarm system. I called to explain the problem. The alarm technician was at my house promptly after the telephone technician left and tied the house alarm into the new system, improving some of the wiring lay-out in the process.

Technician arrived on time, did the work quickly, efficiently, and neatly. As he tested the system to make sure all was in working order, he made sure I saw and was comfortable that the system was completely functional. He was very pleasant and professional.

It went very well. No insurmountable problems. They are true professionals and I will call them again in the future.

Every interaction we have had with this company has been very, very good. The initial installation was an amazing thing to watch; the installer was a consummate professional who was very impressive in his technique and ability. I have had them come out and add to the system a couple of times and each time I have had the same opinion. Very high quality work. They truly go out of their way to help. And the service is exactly what I expected. Very highly recommended.

They are great, reasonably priced, the installation was wonderful. The people were kind and professional. They cleaned up the area when they were done. These people are just wonderful. The guy who came out even hooked up the phone jack I didn't even know I had in my basement. It was really nice and he didn't even have to do that he just did it to help me out. I really great group of people. I would recommend them to anyone. Their monthly monitoring is the least expensive that I priced. You couldn't ask for a nice group of people, they even made sure I was happy. The monitoring fee for me is only about $24 a month for monitoring.
