+ -1 moreExcellent job repairing problem. Had to actually wait about 2 hours past scheduled time to begin because of rain. Workers did the job and even covered it with tarp. Came back a week later to remove tarp. Cleaned up after work was completed. Very satisfied with company. Will use again if necessary.
Description of Work: new stainless cap with lifetime warranty. Tore off front corner of chimney, 6 rows down. Put on new crown. Watersealed chimney with 10 year warranty. All parts and labor included.

Description of Work: This job was supposed to be a simple repair job of the top of my chimney; remove 18 courses of brick and replace them with new. Save yourself some major grief and DO NOT hire Michael Matheny of Chimney Professionals to do any work for you. Please look at the pictures of this "professional" repair job on my website: http://chimneyprofessionals.wordpress.com/ Michael Matheny says the work performed on my chimney by his company is a totally acceptable repair job. I took him to small claims court and won judgement for shoddy workmanship16 May, 2012 for a full refund of $1,597.00 plus court costs plus 3% interest per annum, but I have yet to see one dime from Michael Matheny. Even if you win a judgement from Michael Matheny, he will not pay you. He will act the part of a devote Christian and famlily man, but is nothing more than a thief and a liar. This abortion of a repair job needs to be totally torn down and redone by someone who knows what they are doing.

+ -1 moreWhile having our home resided, we were informed that our chimney was unstable and could collapse at any time. We tried to obtain estimates from three different companies, but customer services seems to be greatly lacking. Chimney Professionals is aptly named because that is what they are. They answered all of our questions, were very courteous and friendly plus they did a fantastic job of cleaning up after themselves. As they tore down our chimney, it became very obvious that it hadn't been constructed properly in 1972. It had never been tied to the wall, but it certainly is now. The process of tearing down and rebuilding took two days. The chimney looks beautiful and blends well with the other brick work on the house. They even fixed a cement block that was crumbling in front of the house.

+ 3 moreEstimate was done one week prior to the actual repairs. Cost was a little higher than the estimate but the company advised me if they had to mortar that this would be the case. The crew showed up early. They laid a tarp down to protect the carpet. Told me everything they were doing prior to doing it. Did the repairs quickly, demonstrated use of the new items installed as well as told me when I could start using it and how to do things safely. Overall a great interaction, felt they were trustworthy, and definitely would use them again, and refer them to others.
Description of Work: Company came in , did an estimate and scheduled a repair date. They came early, put down a protective cloth and started work. They removed plywood that wasn't supposed to be there, and sealed the areas with a mortar where there were areas of weakness . After that they installed flue/ damper system, demonstrated how to use it, and when it was safe to use them. Lastly they made sure I knew that they were available for any questions or assistance that I needed.

+ 0 moreThe job went well but they dented my gutter. They placed the ladder up to my roof and when they did that the ladder dented my gutter. I told them about it and they said they would come back down and take a look and as far as I know that has been about 3 months ago now and I haven't heard from them. They dented my gutters and they haven't called so it wouldn't be to good.

+ -1 moreThey arrived on schedule, but we had a lot of rain in the area that day and the roof was slick. So they came back later in the afternoon to clean. They also added some joint filler (at no cost to me which was totally unexpected). We finally feel like we can safely use our fireplaces now.

Description of Work: I had some smoke issues with my wood burner. I called on a Saturday afternoon, not expecting a return call until the following Monday - they called back in one hour. This company had done my installation and have serviced it since, they came promptly on Monday morning and cleared the problem with my chimney cap.
