It went okay. The old water heater was disconnected and drained quickly. We waited on the other gentleman to purchase the water heater and return. At completion of the work, we were given a bill that included everything but was not itemized. I think we were "stiffed" on parts as we knew the water heater price as we had noted it was one of our candidates. The labor was skewed, in my opinion, as we paid a plumber to go shopping. Had we known this was their strategy, we would have purchased it ourselves and had it ready for them. On the plus side, they did the work on a Saturday.
Description of Work: We had a hot water heater leak and believed the heater needed replaced. We went out and shopped for a replacement. In the meantime, we called Ed's Plumbing. He came out and assessed the problem and determined a new heater was in order. We scheduled his service to come out the next day -- Saturday. Two men came out and stated the labor rate would be $75 per hour. One worked on disconnecting the water heater while the other went out and purchased a replacement. We had given them a couple of options after our "window shopping".

Description of Work: They did some repairs and two installations. The work was very good. The responsiveness was very good. I thought the price was a little high, but it may just be my reluctance to hire someone to do what I thought I could do.

Description of Work: He cleaned out my water heater, which was full of calcium that kept clogging my washer filter. He and his assistant were very polite and did the job quickly and explained things to me very well. If I ever need any plumbing done, Ed's Plumbing will be the one I call on.

He was very good and responded quickly. His communication was just excellent. I left him a message and he was here the next day to give the estimate. We just have to do our part on what needs done and he will come and complete the job. He really seemed like a great guy. He was very polite and very knowledgeable. He told us his hourly rates that included him and his son.
Description of Work: Ed's Plumbing gave us a free estimate to move the hot water heater first.
