I am not sure if I had the best experience with them under the circumstances but they were able to get people to my house and resolve some issues that I was facing at that time. I overheard one of their inspectors using indecent language while talking about my mother and me. I had to complain about him and what I had overheard to the manager. They removed him from the job and got another person in his place to check the deck level. I had expected the deck to be straight but it was not. Then the project manager took up the job and he was very easy to work with. Even their general manager was easy to work with. I don't love my deck and feel that it looked just OK. They tried to please me and work with me. They made follow up calls and did quite a lot to get the deck finished. I would not like to use them in future. I would probably go with a service provider who specialized in certain things rather than someone like Ultimate Concepts who did general things. I did a mistake of hanging out on the deck when it was dark and the deck looked good at that time. So, I gave good grading for the work on their paper. Overall, they took good care of me. So, I am not sure if I was wrong in my expectations or it's the deck itself which was wrong but as a consumer I was not happy with the deck.

The same rep that came out and sold us our deck and fence came back out and got us our awning. We told him the first time we met that this would be a project later down the road. We called up and he came out and we ordered, It is beautiful it took about three weeks for it to come in. When it finally came in they called that day and was ready to install the next, I cant believe it only took about two hours to install. No problems like always. Once again a great job.

This was a bit more stressful than it needed to be, but we are happy with the finished product. There were some issues with the deck they built, but they addressed them in a timely manner and made everything right. The fence installers were great and did an excellent job. If you should use this company I would recommend that you specifically ask that Matt Olson does your deck and that Charlie and his son install your fence. They both do EXCELLENT work.

The project went very well, each step of the way the builder would confirm with me what I wanted and make sure to ask my approval once completed. This was a very unique project with many unknown design elements that we created along the way. I am so pleased with the craftsmanship of the work. Every detail was covered right down to the stainless steel screws for the pool decking area. The small detail work that our installer did is amazing. I am very happy with my deck and fence.

We selected Ultimate Concepts for a small variety of reasons: They were NOT the cheapest, but they provided an IMMEDIATE estimate... they agreed to NOT have contractors arrive on site, instead having liscensed and training employees on site at all times.... We were promised AutoCAD drawings prior to the build was to begin... We were also told they would pull all permits to ensure there would be no issues with the City. I recieved a call a few weeks later from a contractor: "We're on our way to start your patio today..." I was out of the house and responded "I have not approved a layout nor have I seen an AutoCAD drawing." I then called Ultimate Concepts' office and was told "We aren't putting in your patio today, how does next week sound?" This should have been all the red flags we needed, but when the CONTRACTORS showed up the following week, I still had not seen an AutoCAD version of the work to be done. They did not pull any permits - which we were told by the contractors were not necessary. Also, I had not selected the stone for the wall or the dye for the stamped concrete. This was work that should have been done in advance to the project starting, but Ultimate Concepts cashed the check and pawned all the work to the contractors. The contractors did a decentjob of listening to our concerns and taking action. We were not happy with some of the work done, but they immediately took action to resolve our concerns. They stamped and dyed concrete looks good, but is over-priced (because they hired contractors... who hired sub-contractors). Also, the stain is not evenly spread on the concrete. We were also promised that there would be no impact to our lawn. While this seems like an extreme thing to promise, we were, nonetheless, promised. Therefore, when the contractors brought in a bobcat, we were upset. Over a month later, our grass has yet to fully grow back. The most frustrating thing with the whole process was the Ultimate Concepts reaction to our displeasure. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, we were given the run-around by their office. We never spoke with a Project Manager until we complained. The owner of the company told my wife we were expecting too much to think we would get an AutoCAD drawing (which he valued at $500) and we didn't need permits (valued at $400) - so we naturally assumed that we spent at least $900 too much. We were very dissatisfied with the lack of professionalism by this company - from high-pressure sales to empty promises to poor issue resolution. This was a big let-down. There are far too many companies in the area to go with one like this. Please make sure to read every step of the contract prior to doing business with them - and make sure EVERYTHING is in writing. In the sales pitch, you will hear "we're not a Dan in a Van or Chuck in a Truck - we're an actual company with a real office down town with local owners." Don't be fooled. Educate yourself before spending too much money.

from day one we were very pleased with this company from the Sales Reps to the Installer's they explained every step they were doing. We never once had a problem or never had to clean up a thing. We now love having family and friends over to entertain in our new basement. We highly recommend this company to everyone. We will gladly use this company again in the future.

The overall experience was great. My husband called on a Monday and they came out within 24 hours. One of there reps came out came inside sat down with both of us and went over the entire process from beginning to end. He gave us a very professional overview of the project from the company, the way they build the decks and fences, how they pull the permits, and Home Owners Associations approval,as well as financing. He gave us a quote we thought it kinda high for the projects, but he gave us more than ample time to discuss it over. We talked it over and weighed out all of the other quotes that we had received, were it was higher than two of the other quotes, the other company's that had came out before him did not take the time like he did nor they did discuss with us the process of the project like the rep from ultimate concepts did. So we went with ultimate concepts, Next year they will be putting a Sunsetter Awning up for us, and hopefully do more projects for us. Great Company!!!! Go with ultimate concepts

Overall I would recommend this company to anyone. You get exactly what you pay for and more with Ultimate Concepts. From the custom deck to the stained and stamped concrete work I was very pleased. Quick, efficient and honest would be the three words I would use to describe this company.... and you can't get enough of that these days.

We where kinda hesitate at first to Use Ultimate concepts because of the negative complaint we seen on here, but now after its all said and done im glad we did. Phillip came out and we felt very comfortable with him from the beginning, we told him that we had no idea what we were doing when it came to Home Improvement he helped us every step of the way. He was professional and informative every step of the way. He took us outside and helped design our deck with cones and accurate measurements to show us what the deck we wanted would look like at the size we wanted. He then plotted out the fence form end to end with cones as well. He showed us the different types of materials out in the market and let us chose what we wanted. He then educated us on his company and all points related to the home improvement industry. At the end he showed us a price that we felt was more than fair. We signed up that night with Ultimate Concepts. the next day we had phone call from the fiance department letting us know we had been approved with a great interest rate and our payments were lower than Phillip had originally quoted us. That same day a member from the production department came out went over our bank papers with us. two days after that crews came out and started our job and was done in a total of three days. Our project looks great and was built quickly and professionally and our neighbors love to come over and them all the time.

This has to be the worst company ever. It took 16 days from when the dug the holes to when they finished the deck. I could not let my dog out the back door for 16 days. My driveway was blocked for 14 days with the wood lying there. They dropped a bag of cement on the driveway and did not clean it up so now i have a spot of cement on my asphalt driveway. Almost every piece of the wood is cracked already. Some of the corners don't come together. They only used one bolt to hold of the railing and it is really loose. I have nails sticking out and wood chipping. Please don't use this company. Update- We are now having to tear down the existing deck to the frame and we are having someone who knows what they are doing rebuild the deck. The entire front railing and stairs are so loose that we do not feel comfortable having people out on the deck. The company Ultimate Concepts have just stopped returning our phone calls and have not come out to fix these issue, even though everything is "guaranteed for life," what a joke. 4/24/2011

This company is not bonded, they have no building permits. I got the deck to support a hot tub (that is what I wanted) and the deck can not support anything. When you read the fine print on the back of the contract it says that basically anything told you verbally does not matter. They said they did not use sub-contracting services but two Hispanics came out and worked on my deck. Nothing was done to my satisfaction. All the paperwork says they have been in business since 1964. They were also suppose to build a bump out for a grill and when I called him about it he asked me if I wanted him to send them back out to build this. I told him no because I did not want them to have to tear out the deck. He said he would give $200 off the deck or a credit for this amount and I have yet heard from him. There is a lot of nails coming up from the boards. They said there was no down payment yet I had to put down $2800 and all the nails have slits in them and it does not look right but I want the city to come up and look at it. They must have other complaints because the city knows about the company. I would never use them again because they lied about everything.
