I would not recommend him to anyone.

They rearranged their schedule and went above and beyond to replace our chimney. They did a beautiful job.

I called to ask for an estimate on a masonry job, and I left a message asking them to call. They never returned my call.

Although they were nice, I decided to go with another company that was cheaper than them. They were prompt and they were very friendly, but their pricing was a little too high.

They replaced a fair amount of the firebox and added a liner. In the course of things, before they put the liner in, they had to repair the chimney; they used a fiber optic device (a scope).

For seven years, we had recurrent problems with mild mold in several corners of our 1931 brick house and extensive mold in an upstairs closet. Last year, D.M. Thompson Masonry repaired the tuck pointing, sealed and caulked the chimney, and sealed the entire house. This year, when we found mold again, we called them, thinking the waterproofing hadn't worked. The technicians were at our house for about an hour, testing the waterproofing (water beaded up just like it was supposed to) and looking around to see what else could be causing the problem. They discovered a spot in the fascia above that closet where the caulking had fallen out of a butt joint. To verify their theory that this was causing the problem, one fellow on a ladder pointed a hose at the gap while I went inside with the other technician. We could see the water spider-veining its way across the wall! After that, we hired a mold remediation specialist and had the fascia repaired. The mold in the corners turned out to be from dormant spores (from old water damage) that became active when the humidifier was set too high during the winter. Finding the source of the mold in that closet was a real detective story, and it was D.M. Thompson Masonry that put us on the road to a solution.

The crew came out as scheduled. They completed the work promptly and did a great job cleaning up. We would definitely hire them again. In fact...the chimney at our new house is leaking and had been repaired by the previous owner (they obviously didn't use DM Thompson) before we bought the house. So we will be calling them again this week.

They were very pleasant over the phone. The lady that answered the phone was very helpful. The man and his assistant that came out were very polite. They were easy to work with. The price seemed a little high, but considering that they were up there for about three hours it was probably justified.

Showed on time, performed the work, cleaned up afterwards. The workers were polite. Good experience.

After a bad start with another chimney company (they didn't come out to do the work for weeks), I called D.M. Masonry on the recommendations of Angie's List. They came out promptly for the estimate and we scheduled the work to be done after the holidays once the weather permitted. The work was done well and in a timely manner.

They did a great job and were always responsive with questions, etc. Also, their price was fair. They were one of 3 quotes I got, and they were the lowest (although not by much). When they did the job, they ran into complications and spent a lot more time than expected, but they honored the quote and didn't charge me more. I would definitely recommend them for any type of chimney repair.

We were disappointed that our chimney could not be repaired but appreciated the honesty of Mr. Thompson and the information he shared with us. An insurance adjuster and another chimney repair representative had both offered the same solution which Mr. Thompson hoped to complete. We feel lucky that he did not start removing the tile and then discover that there was a problem.

They cleaned up everything and did beautiful work. Everything was perfect.

Their work was exemplary. They explained everything that they were doing, and then did it.

We just bought a house whose chimney had a lot of deterioration and a rusted out cap, so we called DM Thompson to do the repair. They gave a prompt estimate and scheduled the job for about three weeks out. On the day of the work, three gentlemen came and did the work very cleanly and efficiently. They were polite and respectful of our property and got the job done quickly. The newly repaired chimney looks great, and we couldn't be happier with the service DM Thompson provided. They seem to be a very fair, honest, and trustworthy company, and we'd use them again if we ever needed any additional masonry work on our home.

They brought a full crew out for a week. Cleaned up everything. Came back in two weeks and sealed the chimneys. They were very delightful to work with.

This company did a great job. They arrived on time and worked steadily for two days to get the job done. The crew seemed very professional and polite. The chimney looks great and I would recommend them to anyone.

Who knows? The never bothered to return my call or respond to my email.

All went well. Arrived promptly for estimate and work, work was done as expected. Clean up was satisfactory, but could have been better. Lots of small pieces of old grout were left on rear deck of house. Have to wait for a hard rain to see if chimney is now water-tight.

I have no complaints about these people at all. They were very professional from the start. I met with David Thompson he gave me a estimate as to the cost to do the job and we agreed to proceed. On the day the work was performed and all was done and they were cleaning up to go I asked Mr Thompson about the trade in value of my old brick from the old chimney, he looked at me like oh no here we go, I then told him I was only kidding. They are good people to deal with and I would have no problem recommending them.

This is one of the best companies I have worked with. They were on time and even worked on Saturday to make up for rain during the week. My experience was excellent. In the end David did a complete walk through to make sure everything was covered. Rocky and his crew were very friendly and professional.

It rained on the scheduled work day. Work was re-scheduled and work was completed in a timely way.

This company was not able to determine the true cause of the leak. They gave me an estimate to rebuild the chimney or to tear it down (it is not in use anymore). I had other companies come out to look at it, and it was determined that it was a flashing problem, not a chimney problem. If I would have used their services, I would have spent unnecessary dollars on unnecessary work.

They came out and gave a bid, came back to do the work on the exact time they promised. Matched my brick almost perfectly; my chimney looks great! I am totally pleased with the result.
