They were a few minutes late getting to the job, but did call to inform us of this. The job was finished in a timely manner and they cleaned up everything and disposed of materials that were bad. Was very please with how everything went and the workers were very pleasant.

Both the estimator and the work crew were punctual and professional. The final price was a bit higher than the initial estimate as they found after starting the work that the flashing needed replaced - they informed me of my options and I approved the extra work and cost. They even came back a few days later to acid wash the brick at no additional cost. The completed chimney looks great!

They were punctual, very efficient and professional. They cleaned up the job site and surrounding areas (i.e. walked through the lawn to find small pieces of brick from the tear down) so well, they exceeded experiences with any prior contractor. They came back to seal the chimneys after the mortar cured. The job was not cheap, but the quality matched the price.

Work was completed Fall of 2008; on March 30th, 2009 we had large amounts of water coming through the interior stone work around the fire box. The water was seeping through the mortar into the inside of my home and collecting on the outer hearth. The office set an appointment for Mike Thompson to meet me and look at the problem, however, Mike never showed and just sent a crew that could not find anything wrong. I did show them the water and took many pictures. I had an outside roofer look at the roof, flashing and photos of the chimney cap and he indicated a small crack at the flue needed to be caulked and may be the problem. After many attempts, I finally was able to get Mike to meet me at my home. Mike said the concrete chimney cap that he installed had shrunk and was leaking into the chimney cavity. He would paint our chimney cap with a rubber material that should stop the leaks. It was my understanding and clear request that he clean the inside stone from the water marks. He stated that he needed to talk to someone about the correct cleaning solution to use and would get back to me the next day, but would have the work done no later than Thursday (April 16th). Mike never called, but sent a crew to paint the chimney cap and instructed his crew to tell me to clean the chimney myself with a soot cleaner. I m sorry, but it is not my responsibility to clean up his damage! Mike will not even return my calls. I ve only been able to actually talk to him once. This is very poor customer service and I feel sorry for his office. All they can say is they are passing on my messages to Mike. I told them I would be posting this message if he did not call me back from three days ago. I guess he does not care? I m going to have the stone cleaned and send him the invoice. It would be nice to at least have a conversation, he admits the water was his issue, why does he not feel responsible to clean up the damage? Why I m I communicating via Angie's List Report? AVOID THIS COMPANY! There are other good companies that will stand behind their work, DM Thompson does not.

After discovering missing masonry during a chimney sweep, I received three estimates on repair. Two for a steel liner and one for a masonry fix. I chose the steel liner and DM Thompson Co. was the lower estimate of the two. Based on their Angie's List reports, I chose them. They showed up right on time and did a fine job on installation and clean up. The chimney works well and I am very satisfied with their work.

Crew arrived on time and worked efficiently and quickly.

Repair team was punctual, friendly and performed the work much quicker than I expected on a very cold day. They were happy to answer all my questions about the actual installation.

We called David to look at our chimney, they called back the same afternoon and came out the very next day. We were very happy to be told that we only needed spot tuck pointing. He also recommended sealing the stone and showed me where some mortar was crumbling that I did not notice. He gave me a printed estimate on the spot.

I called the company for an estimate. The representative came out within a few days and gave me a written estimate. He dropped off several brick samples for me to pick from. When I selected their company to do the work, they came out within another week and finished the work in one day. The chimney looks very nice and the workers cleaned up the work area. They came back in three weeks and sealed the bricks. All the employees were courteous and professional. This was not the least expensive estimate I got, but I liked the thoroughness of their estimate and contract and felt comfortable working with them.

It went well. I had some concerns when the job was finished. I called the company and the owner came out that very day and looked at the work. He agreed that the bottom edge was a little ragged. The crew was working close by and came out and fixed the problem that afternoon. I asked about a small hole in my garage which had nothing to do with the chimney and they patched that also.

They did a beautiful job! They adhered to zoning and German Village restrictions.

David Thompson arrived to work on estimate he took pictures of our chimney and said he would send the estimate in the mail. I called two weeks later after no contact, and asked for them to call me back. 1 month later still no contact.

I needed some tuckpointing work done on my chimney. I contacted D M Thompson, and they came for an estimate. The representative was very professional and knowledgeable, and he gave me a pretty fair estimate. I decided to hire them on, and I was happy with the work.

I had called them over a year before and got an estimate for having it repaired. I should have done it then, but didn't because of the money, it cost me more this way, but it had to be done. They have always responded quickly.

Mr. Thompson responded quickly with an appointment and arrived on time. He produced a very professional looking quote on the spot using a computer and printer in his truck. We went with another provider due to a slightly lower price.
