Scheduling the service went smoothly as did the cleaning of the chimney. My chimney seemed fine when we used it.

It went fine. It's been a while so I can't remember all the details exactly but I remember that he arrived later than expected. When I have to be present between x and x, I expect them to be on time so as not to hold me hostage and if any service person can't make it on time, I expect them to phone and let me know. I don't care what the excuse it, let me know. You expect me to be there so I expect the same courtesy and promptness.

Very nice and professional. They communicated well with us and did a very nice job in cleaning the Chimney. They also gave us advice on dealing with some build up in the Chimney. They did a really nice job.

Very friendly to work with. A few challenges with scheduling but that worked out. He was very helpful and showed me one minor repair that I could take care of myself, and he told me exactly what I needed and that I could do it myself.

When they came out they looked at our chimney from the inside, and determined that it did not need to be cleaned. Knowing we needed extensive work on the outside, we had them check it out and give us an estimate. We agreed to the price and several days later they came back and did the exterior job. They charged us the estimated amount and subtracted the $99 we had already paid for the interior chimney cleaning, which was not needed. The job was well done, and we would call them again in the future if necessary.

The technician discovered that my chimney had several cracked tiles and recommended installing a stainless steel pipe.

I called DM Thompson after viewing their statusnon Angie's list. I explained that I needed the chimney inspected and my flu was rusted away. They showed up on time examined the chimney and suggested a spring hinged chimney cap that has a stainless steel chain that runs down the inside of the chimney so you can open and close the cap from your fireplace, they installed it on the site and where gone in a matter of an hour, great service and a good price.

All went well...friendly and prompt service

They suggested we seal the chimney instead, as our modern furnace no longer required that as a vent. It saved us money and was done quickly, plus satisfied the buyers of our home.

The workers who arrived were friendly and punctual. They wore the little shoe booties, and were careful to not track ash into the room past the hearth, and cleaned up after they were done. They gave us some good tips for future care as well.

The gentleman who did our chimney sweep was professional and knowlegable about fireplaces. He did a thurough cleaning and inspection of the fireplace and chimney and did not leave a mess, which is great considering it can be a dirty job. I would highly recommend working with this company in the future.

Excellent Service!

I moved into a house and wasn't sure when the chimney had been cleaned last. They came out on time, kept everything neat and clean, and did what they said they would. They pointed out some possible issues with the chimney cap, and recommended a new one but it was a bit pricey. Overall good service.

We bought two angies list deals for this service. One was $99, and the other $85. The man who did the service was really nice, helpful, and knowledgable. I also had made a mistake by buying the two (I forgot I'd already bought the one!), and he said he'd honor the 2nd one after the expiration date, because it would be foolish to clean it again so soon. I thought that was a real sign of honesty and character in a business, and I appreciated it. I recommended them to others, and I will use them again.

I was pleased with the care they took to assure no damage to the carpet in the room with the fireplace.

My chimney had not been cleaned in years and I thought it would take a long time and make a big mess in the living room. He was done very quickly, less than an hour and there was NO mess! I will definitely use them again!

It went just fine. it's not the first time we've used this firm, and we remain satisfied.

We have a stove insert. Toward the end of the fireplace season, we started experiencing smoke billowing out into the house. This has never happened before. We didn't light many fires last winter because it was so mild; usually we have one going continuously during the colder months. I don't know whether the cleaning wasn't completely done or whether something else has clogged the works--waiting for our next cleaning to find out. I do know that the stove insert needs to be completely pulled out in order to effectively clean everything (according to the installers), and because I wasn't hovering over the guy I don't know whether this was done. If it turns out to be something other than a crappy cleaning job I will revise my post.

Excellent work performed. The job was scheduled to be performed within 10 days after estimator has given me written estimate. Due to weather conditions the original date was cancelled and a followup date was performed 2 days later.

I assume they did the sweeping. They said I had something else wrong with my chimney. When I had a second opinion come, they said there was nothing wrong. I didn't like the fact that it seemed they were just trying to over sell me on something I didn't need.
