Description of Work: Took in 2 lamps to be repaired and bought a shade for one. Employees knew there trade and were very helpful. Only took less than a week to get the lamps fixed. Lots of lamp shades and a very pretty store. It's hard to find a parking space near the store. there is meter parking Employee did offer to bring lamps out to my car if I would drive around the block and stop in front of the store. I thought that was kind.

 + -1 moreThey helped me choose the shades. I left the lamps for the repairs and I took home the lamps with the new shades and finials. They were willing to exchange a lamp shade that didn't look right in my home. They are going to look at a lamp that needs more work. They were very helpful. The repairs do take some time.
Description of Work: I took in lamps that hadn't been used for a long time. They re-wired them and put on new lamp shades.

Description of Work: I bought two lamp shades and had them repair a lamp. They had a wonderful selection and knew exactly what I would need for the shades. And, they repaired a lamp that arrived from another company damaged. Very reasonable prices and great work!

 + -1 moreI can typically rewire lamps myself, but I ran into a particular difficult in an old goose-neck lamp and couldn't run the wire past a certain junction. I should have pulled the new wire attached to the old when I pulled it but it was damaged. So I turned to Lamp Shade for the rewiring. I first went to another store who wanted way too much money to pull a wire - even with the difficulty. The Lamp Shade didn't guarantee a price but stated they would try up to a point but if it could be done they would stop trying. Made sense (and cents). And they came through in the end. Very happy and glad I turned to them. Staff if really nice and will be going back for future repairs. They also sell every kind of lamp you can imagine. Great to support small Columbus businesses too.

Description of Work: I LEFT A LAMP WITH THEM BECAUSE IT HAD A BURNING SMELL WHEN IT WAS ON. WHEN I CAME TO PICK UP THE LAMP THEY SAID THAT THE CONNECTIONS HAD BEEN LOOSE AND THEY TIGHTENED THEM. THEY ONLY CHARGED TWO DOLLARS PLUS TAX. THE LAMP NOW WORKS FINE.

 + -1 moreOVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD. WHEN I BROUGHT THE LAMP IN, I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE 2 TO 3 WEEKS BEFORE IT COULD BE REPAIRED. I ASKED THEM TO CALL WITH AN ESTIMATE BEFORE COMPLETING THE REPAIR. I CALLED AFTER 3 WEEKS TO CHECK ON THE STATUS OF REPAIR AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WERE A NUMBER OF PEOPLE AHEAD OF ME, BUT THAT IT WOULD PROBABLY TAKE ANOTHER WEEK BECAUSE THE REPAIRMAN WAS BACKED UP. THIS WAS SURPRISING. HOWEVER, THE REPAIR WAS COMPLETED WITHIN THE WEEK, ALTHOUGH THE COMPANY DID NOT CALL WITH ESTIMATE BEFORE COMPLETING THE REPAIR.

 + -1 moreTHEY WERE A BIT SLOW WITH THE SERVICE. HOWEVER, THERE IS APPARENTLY ONLY ONE PERSON WORKING IN THAT AREA, ON A PART-TIME BASIS. THEY WEER NOT TOO LONG IN GETTING BACK TO ME AFTER THEIR ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE. THE PRICE WAS FAIRLY REASONABLE TOO.
