Teeters Windows & Remodeling

They took the measurement and informed us that they would give us a presentation. They were supposed to get back to us with the quote but they never did. We are going with another company as they didn’t get back to us.

They were great and everything went really well. There was no pressure when the salesman came out to talk about the type of windows they had available. They were very thorough in explaining the windows when we went to the showroom. When they came for the installation, they had three people working at one time. We had questions about a sliding door that we have that they didn't install. We called them to see if they had any suggestions to help with opening and closing it in the winter. They were the only people that gave us any solutions and they were very helpful.

They were punctual and responsive. They came out and gave me an estimate. The only problem that I had was that, they had to come out a couple of times and do some re-work. Overall, I was satisfied with their service.

I chose them because they were better able to stay within a couple hundred of our budget and they were able to do one stop shopping with showing us the fixtures. They are friendly, prompt, and the contractor that is doing the work is very knowledgeable and he is doing a very good job.

The owner came out and gave the presentation and also fitted into our schedule. He also explained everything very well. They kept me informed of what was going on. After the job was done, I noticed some problem and they came out and fixed it. I was satisfied with their service.

We were at the Dispatch Home and Garden show. We stopped by the Teeters Company booth to say hello as they have done work for us in the past. While speaking to our past sales representative, Jason, he mentioned the tax credit incentive for energy efficient windows. We made an appointment with Jason to come to our home for an estimate at the show. Jason came to our home, took the measurements for the new window and discussed design choices for our project. He worked up several designs and went over the pros and cons of each. One of our wants was to have a useable window sill as part of the new window design. Jason worked with our desires and gave us a competitive price for the job which included the design features we wanted. We had another company out for an estimate. Teeters price was very competitive and they had done satisfactory window work for us in the past, so we awarded them with the contract. When the windows came in Teeters Construction called to schedule the installation. They worked around our schedule for the installation date. The company’s installers were on time. The installation went very smoothly. The fitting of both the windows and the new window sills and window casings were a masterly piece of work. My wife and I were extremely pleased with the job! We would not hesitate in requesting bids from the Teeters Construction for future projects on our home Bob Grove

Installation was ahead of schedule, done on time and with great clean up work. Installers were very friendly and professional. Own staff, not contracted out. Teeters offers a large range of brands and pricing. Dealt with the owner himself. Would use again.

It was all within a couple hours which was really good.

Brian Teeters is a pleasure to deal with. He made several recommendations regarding window selection and took the time to explain the pros and cons of each type of window. The window installation was done in January, but doors were kept closed to keep the cold air from the rest of the house. Work was very professional and the windows look fantastic!

They are very professional and communicate with the customer very well.We plan to use them again.

I had done a lot of research before finally deciding what window I wanted and who I wanted to install them. I went to the Home and Garden show last March '08 and met Jason Riley (our sales representative) there at the Teeter's display. He was the person I dealt with through the entire transaction. He was wonderful, informative, very friendly and not pushy whatsoever. He came to our house to give me a rough estimate after measuring all the windows, front door and then emailed me a more detailed estimate. It did take a while once I placed my order to receive my windows because they had to stain each window to match my existing trim, but the wait was worth it!! They matched my existing trim so well, it's amazing!!Bruce and Sean were excellent with the installation. They encountered some unknown problems with the rotten framing in the upstairs windows and also had to rebuild a window seat where the drywall and the wood was ruined from where the old windows had leaked. They were very careful to use drop cloths and a shop vac to clean up their mess everyday. The casement windows required new indoor wood trim and they matched the stain to our existing trim and were very professional. Any damage done to my drywall was patched also. The wall was not painted by them though, I told them I would paint it myself. Brian Teeters even came out one day to check on the work. Jason called after the windows and door were installed to make sure we were happy with everything. I did ask for the warranty book to be mailed to me which I promptly received. I waited a few months after the windows were installed to post my report to see if my heating and cooling bills have changed with the new windows. Boy, have they!! Each month has been lower and I even had to lower my thermostat indoors, it was preset from last winter and it was too warm in the home with the setting from last winter. I am so happy with my new windows and front door, they look beautiful from both inside and out. Thanks so much Teeter's Construction!!!

They seemed like a good company and came out for the estimate. They said they would get back to us, but it took a week before we heard from them. They said the project was too small, but he was very nice and he did help us find another company to do the work.

Our house is 22 years old and they were able to match the inside of the windows with the replacement windows exactly. They were very professional.

They provide great service and have a very conscientious crew. They do a great job at cleaning up and were great to work with. The finished product turned out how I wanted and I have had no trouble with it since the service.

Slow to respond and it took awhile for them to come do our window, but that was probably because we were only doing one rather than the entire house or several. Overall pleasant experience with salesman and window installer was great - quick, efficient, and very friendly. Would hire again.

Teeters installed this window (as well as some doors and a sunroom) for us about 15 years ago. Window was still under warranty after 15 years, Teeters had original paperwork and was able to replace it for me at a minimal cost (labor). I would heartily recommend this company to others!

Our sliding door to the patio was rocking and sticking in its track. A service call from the manufacturer was set up (minimum of $50 for the visit), but we called Teeters in hopes of getting someone out sooner. They could not do the job themselves (it was not a door they installed); however, in addition to suggesting someone who could come out, the guy we spoke to told us about a simple adjustment we could do ourselves that might work, and it did work. We also saved the money we would have paid to the manufacturer, who obviously was not as helpful about a simple fix for the problem.

This was the largest remodeling project I'd ever been involved with. My general contractor was Ryan, who became like a member of the family during the 5 month process. He kept me informed and updated with a schedule that changed constantly. We began with architects' drawings and plans. They were open to changes and ideas we had. The addition was added and the exterior wall of the house was actually torn down while we were away on Spring Break! Ryan and the other workers even had to chase one of my cats that got out. The cabinets were purchased from another company and one of their workers actually did the installation. He was very attentive to detail and trim. I absolutely love my new kitchen!

Workmanship was okay, price was higher than original estimate.

Installers that Teeters contracted were great. They did an awesome job and the house looks amazing. I am missing a door bell (they never brought it back) and after going through one winter, the door needs re-caulked on bottom, but I am happy with the work.

We were given notice the night prior the crew was going to start. The project was riddled with short notices of planned arrival to work on the home. The crew consisted of 3 siders. One professional sider did a wonderful job on the home. Two others assisted him, which helped cutting sections and handing to him, as well as bending and cutting aluminum capping and attaching scaffolding to roof. They left quite a mess behind most days, which we had to clean up, but the house looks great. The one gentleman, Phil, who was hanging the siding, did an awesome job. We did have to have Teeters out several other times, but that was to fix work done by the other gentleman. This included boards from the decking that were poorly attached to the brand new siding, poor installation over garage, and shutters that were hung not level (each window in line had shutters at different levels). Teeters replaced the shutters and corrected most of the issues. We still have one brand new lighting fixture on the back of the house that Teeters has not replaced. One of the siders (not Phil) was very rough on the lighting fixtures when installing them - two went dead shortly after installation. One has been replaced, but not the other. Teeters also shorted out the houses main breaker when siding around the power supply to the A/C. We were not informed until the end of day on Friday when we got home. Teeters first stance was that our wiring was at fault and wasn't going to do anything about it. My biggest concern was finding an electrician on Friday at 5 PM that wouldn t cost a fortune; Teeters crew just left. After several phone calls, Teeters finally agreed to have an electrician come out to take a look at it and said they would let the electrician determine who was at fault (the house or the siders). The electrician billed Teeters as at fault and got our power back on.

The original estimate stated to have the failing flashing replaced around the chimney, instead, Teeters wrapped the chimney with roofing rubber material, that was not sealed very well, and painted it to match the roof shingles. The job looked horrible and very much appeared likes a home job whereas we were trying to hide something. Pictures show that the rubber material wasn't even sealed on the sides. We had a second roofer give us an opinion of the work and was told that the flashing repair (not replacement that we requested) would not last but a few years. Also that the quoted 30yr dimensional shingles were not installed on the ridges (to save money) and that cheaper single layer 3 tabs were used. And that there were surface nails on flashing and boots that were sealed with beads of caulking.... would eventually fail and leak. We also had Teeters side the house and they punched numerous holes in the new roof with their scaffolding. Teeters argued that caulking surface nails and holes was acceptable. I argued that caulking is not rated at 30yrs and that the roof was supposed to be rated 30 yr. I also requested that the single 3 tab shingles that were used for hip and ridge be replaced with the 30yr dimensional shingles in Teeters quote. I was told that using the less expensive shingles was what was in the quote (but never mentioned) and that it was fine, by Teeters. I called Owens Corning. They said that Teeters obviously installed 20yr hip and ridge in conjunction with 30yr 3 dimensional to save money and that now portions of my roof are only warranties for 20yrs. I argued with Teeters and once the owner was brought in to the conversation, the flashing was replaced (as quoted) and the hip and ridge was replaced with Owens 30 yr 3 dimensional hip and ridge shingles. Overall, I believe the company took shortcuts to save time and money. It took far too much time and aggravation on my part to gather information to gain enough knowledge about roofing to get Teeters to correct obvious issues with workmanship as well as delivering as promised. I waited a year to report to see if the roof would make it through winter and spring, which it has. I still would not recommend Teeters.

The people showed up when they said they were going to. They also did exactly what they said they were going to. They did a nice job cleaning up all of the dust and dirt from the old windows. The installation went great. They really seemed to know what they were doing.

We contacted this company regarding new windows for our home. Jason arrived promptly for the initial appt. and performed careful measurements. We visited the showroom and were given information about the various options. An estimate was provided within one week. The windows were installed over a 10 day period. The workers were very professional and careful with our home. There was a crew leader on the job daily. All refuse was removed by the company. The experience was exceptional.

They didn't call to tell me that they were ready within a reasonable amount of time. They let me know the night before they were coming out which didn't allow me to be their during the job in light of previous engagements. Also they did not call me prior to installing the gutters, which we had agreed on doing before hand. I would not recommend them to anyone.
