Description of Work: Sorted and packed my house and basement before a move. 20 years worth! Very helpful folks, even when I realized that the job was going to be much more complicated than first plans. Held my hands, nonjudgmental, knew how to get the job done.

Description of Work: I chose Suzy's helping hands as I had witnessed their work with another client. They did an excellent job there. I had, what I thought to be, a much smaller job. In the brochure, she offers all kinds of outside services, such as housecleaner. Suzy did not come over to make an estimate. She sent her assistant. Her assistant said she could not give me an estimate. She said they charged $50 per hour. I thought at least we could get started, so we made a date. The assistant came with another person, and I was informed it was $50 per hour per person. They also did not tell me until the end of the three hours that they wanted cash on delivery. Her assistant also said they wanted to charge me for travel time. I was upset about the whole matter. | |After they left, I found a bag of "trash" they had filled, which contained money and some valuables in it. They clearly were not triaging as they went.I still wonder now what was in the trash bags that were hauled away at the time. | |As to the housecleaners, Suzy told me she didn't know anyone in my area and could I find one myself. | |I give them a mixed review, as I think they are great on the big jobs, IF you are in her general Upper Arlington area. She certainly overstated her outside resources. My advice is to get Suzy herself to come to your house, get a written estimate and have plenty of cash at the ready.

We apologize for the delay in responding to this complaint. The last several months have been very busy for our business. In addition to that it took some time to locate the paperwork. The complaint was under another name ([Member name removed]). When we worked with this client she used the name [Member name removed]. When our Organizer met with her she was told our rate is $50 per man hour and payment is made in the form of a check. When we reached out to her to schedule the first work session, she was advised that there would be 2 organizers. Below are the corresponding e mails from the client and the project manager. 10/26/2014: Good evening [Member name removed], It was a pleasure meeting with you. Would it be possible for me to come in this week on Tues. and Wed. at noon? I’ll be bringing another person to help me. Thank you for the opportunity to help you get your home in order. Looking forward to working with you. Jennifer Studer-Miller 10/27/2014: Hi Jennifer, Wednesday for sure works for me. I have a dr's appointment at 1PM on Tuesday (I forgot) so I would need to leave almost at the time you arrive, because it is a first appointment at this dr. That being our very first day, I wonder if it would be a good use of your time. I could be here for all of Wednesday. What do you think? I would be fine with just one day this week. [Member name removed]. 10/27/2014: Sounds great. See you Wed. at noon. Thank you! Jennifer Studer-Miller 11/1/2014: Hi, Jennifer and Suzy, Thanks for talking with me yesterday, Suzy. I appreciate your candor and willingness to be flexible. I have spoken to my sister, who has a major role in paying your fees, and she would like to stop at this time. She realizes that there are certain things that need to be done (cleaning, particularly) that should be handled separately and accomplished first and foremost. For me to bring in my own people, pay them and then have organizing done by someone else, does not use our money wisely.. I feel I am able to direct the reorganizing as the cleaning takes place. This distance to Reynoldsburg seems also to be an issue. I appreciate all the hard work Jennifer and Robbie performed last week. My living and dining rooms are 100% better. If you send me your mailing address, I will send you an online check on Monday, from an account that will have the name "[Member name removed]" on it. Please feel free to use me as a reference.
