They did very sloppy work. The work was not clean in particularly. They got a grease smudge on our carpet. They broke a false drawer. They took shortcuts to get the job done. When he painted he splattered paint on the walls and when he retouched those areas he did a poor job. I contacted Jerry and he said that his best painter was on this job both for the inside and outside of our home.

Excellent experience! Jerry was very prompt with his quote -- came out same week I called. Their pricing was better than some other quotes we got, yet they were including more services (for example, applying varnish to our wood front door). I had a lot of follow-up questions for Jerry about the quote (since we got burned pretty bad with our previous house painter) and e-mailed him several different times. He was very patient, prompt and professional in answering all my detailed questions. When the work started, Doug & Lee were fabulous. They may not have always arrived when they said they would (car problems, doctor appointments, weather got in the way), but they worked carefully and skillfully the entire time they were here. They were understanding of my need to be home and frequently check-up on the painting/staining progress due to our previous bad experience. Doug would even ask me to come check some areas to be sure I was satisfied before moving on. Clean-up was good each evening and although rainy weather prolonged the project an extra week, I never felt like Doug or Lee were rushing the job. They took the time they needed to make sure everything was coated twice and done to my satisfaction. We also needed some rotted boards replaced and Doug did a fabulous job with that, too. Although the real proof in an exterior paint job is how well it weathers over time, I'm very pleased with the painting experience and service I've received thus far from Stauffers.

The project went very smoothly. Bob is a diligent worker-getting here at 7 a.m. and staying until the work for the day was over (usually past 6 p.m.). Not to mention, he worked during the 90 degree heat wave. He did a spectacular job of prepping the surface before the painting started-which in my opinion is probably the most important step. As mentioned above, Bob scrapped our whole house-and did an excellent job of getting rid of a lot of the old, thick paint that built up over the years of being painted. He then primed the parts that he scrapped. They use really professional, high-grade materials-in our case, Benjamin Moore (or Creative Paints) was the primer and stain of choice. Once the entire surface was ready to go, Bob sprayed the house. He is very skilled in this area too. The end result is a beautiful house! We are really happy and would absolutely use Stauffer Painting Systems for future projects.

Excellent response for my request for a project bid from the owner, Jerry Stauffer. He was onsite for the beginning of the project and introduced his work team to me. The team consisted of two brothers, Shawn and Doug, who were very knowledgeable, skilled, and professional. They checked with me on every questionable detail of the job before proceeding. For example, the color of the garage door stain was difficult to match to the front door of the house. Shawn made repeated trips to the paint store and returned with color charts and various stains to try out. Only after consultation with me and receiving my approval regarding the color match did he proceed. Jerry checked on the work crew during the job and asked if I was satisfied with the work in progress. Upon completion, Shawn walked the job with me and obtained my approval. Jerry also walked the job with me upon completion and asked the crew to make minor improvements/changes in areas that he saw. Overall, a very satisfying experience and a company I would highly recommend.

As a part of exterior remodel at our home, I was looking for someone to strip and repaint our metal porch roof. After contacting various painters via their web sites, Jerry was the only painter to provide an estimate. Once we accepted the estimate, work began immediately. Overall work took approximately two days, but with several rainy days in between. Jerry and Greg kept us very informed of status and communicated during the delays. Everyone was very courteous, professional and efficient. Surrounding work area was kept very clean, and end result is excellent. All-in-all a job well done. I would definitely recommend to others, and will likely use again on future projects.

We have used them several times. They always have done a wonderful job. Their work is superior. They are hear in a timely manner and when they say they will be. They take excellent care in protecting all the things around work area. They are very clean and professional.

Jerry Stauffer is the owner. The work done went very well. We had looked at several sources and we had 4 or 5 names for estimates and to interview. I liked that Jerry was prompt. He went by e-mail to send us the estimate and to arrange when they would come and to ask details. I liked the e-mail estimate and I liked communicating by e-mail. He did by phone also, but he went by e-mail for detailed and additional information. He also did it promptly. So, I liked the promptness. I don?t like someone who is too friendly or too businesslike. I like someone who is kind of in the middle and not either way. He was businesslike when he needed to be. He was attentive to detail. I think the price wasn?t real high or real low. It wasn?t the lowest price. His responsiveness was his strongest point. I would use his services in the future too without any questions.

Jerry Stauffer and his painter Terry have been terrific to work with. The quality of work is very high indeed, and they are happy to be flexible as to times, etc. I'd hire them again in a second.

It took a while to get it all right, but in the end, I am very satisfied with the finished product. I initially paid them all but $2,000, when they finished, I paid off the balance. The only hand up was with the manufacturer, and as soon as they were able to straighten that out, there was no additional cost to replace what they had put on originally. The product was the problem, I had no issues at all with any of the workmanship throughout the entire process.

Jerry and his crew have done a wonderful job in all aspects of their painting services even under time constraints. His painters have always been very polite, professional and conscientious. I would not hesitate in recommending them.

It went very well. Bob did an excellent job getting everything painted. With the exterior trim, he also painted the rain gutters, and did an excellent job with that. He patched up some minor trim repairs. The only issue we had was the front door he did twice because it was not factory primed well, and needed to get a new prime coat. It looks fantastic now. I would highly recommend Stauffer's painting. We've got nothing but complements on the work that he did on the outside of our house.

I was promptly contacted to setup an appointment time. Jerry arrived on time for our appointment. The guys working on the house were very professional ...always cleaned up after them selves & always doing the job. The work looks great & the price was great! Would definitely use this company again.

Super. Very,very prompt and professional. I highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future.

The project started out well however the 1 painter working on our house would come for a few hours then leave. He either had another job or car problems, etc. A 2-3 day job lasted longer then we ran into some wood damage on our garage. The damage came from the builder not putting flashing above header board. The builder eventually fixed the wood damage then the painter came back out to finish the painting of the garage. Now it is a year later and the paint job still looks good.

I submitted the request for a bid through Angies List email, but Stauffer's did not respond. They were one of 5 vendors that I contacted this way.

Very well. Finished quickly. Apologized for not cleaning up the scraps (due to rain storm). Attentive to a few minor punch out points.

It went very well. I got their name from Angie's List. I felt they were really good and they work with you. The still deserve the high ratings the have on Angie's List. I would recommend.

He returned my call on Saturday, I already had the work done by then so I didn't have any further interaction with them. I was a little upset by the length of time it took them to get back to me.

Excellent workmanship, customer service. They are pleasant to work with and take pride in their work. It was worth every penny. I will hire again for future work.

Overall, very positive experience. Best estimate of 5 companies plus best reviews on angies list. Did an excellent job repairing extensive wood damage from water and black carpenter ants before painting just about everything in site :-) Used good quality materials throughout. Finished the job in a reasonable time frame (about a week, would have been quicker but rain slowed them down) and stuck to agreed upon estimate. Excellent communication throughout the process from both Jerry and the onsite crew (Doug and his sons). Cleaned up job site each day they were there. Doug and crew were very responsive to questions and concerns and clearly aimed to please. Attention to detail throughout. I'm a detail guy and I'm sure I tried their patience but they handled it very professionally and took care of everything i wanted. Highly recommend them !!!!

Wonderful experience from step one. Jerry, the owner, came out at start of project and introduced crew that would be at my house for the next few days, which is important to me since I have children. The crew, Scott and Ivan, were fantastic. They were always on time and very courteous of our lives and schedules, as well as accomodating to any special requests we had. Owner came back out for a walk through and found things I never would have. I have several other projects and I would not think about using anyone else, as well as referring this company to any of my friends who have work to do.

I appreciated that I was able to submit a request for quote online and didn't have to be here for an appointment. I received the quote quickly and it was very detailed and itemized, which allowed me to choose the specific work I wanted done. The estimate was lower than the other two companies that did quotes. The work was scheduled quickly and the crew was on time, friendly and very professional. The work was high quality and the clean up was immaculate.

SINCE ALL THE ESTIMATES WERE VERY CLOSE GRAND PA WAS CONSULTED( HE IS A RETIRED PAINTER WHO DOSEN'T LIVE NEARBY )HE INFORMED US THIS WOULD BE HIS GIFT AND HE WOULD PUT HIS CREW TO WORK .IN OUR FAMILY IT'S NOT WISE TO ARGUE WITH GRANDPA I WOULD RECOMEND THIS COMPANY TO EVERYONE BASED ON THE SERVICE THEY GAVE US .
