Speedy Electric

There were MULTIPLE delays caused by the electric company, NOT Speedy Electric. Because of this, Speedy Electric had to make numerous trips out to London, OH to complete the work. Although the updates weren't always the quickest at coming (I'm in Afghanistan and depend on e-mail), I would still reccomend Speedy Electric, and do business with them again.

I had to cancel project due to lack of funding.

It turned out great. They were prompt, they came and did their work very professionally and they cleaned up after themselves. Everything works very well and they did a great job overall. We ended up spending about $1250 which seemed pretty reasonable to us.

Everything went as expected. They were on time and very thorough.

They men came in and did their job without an issue. They were fast and easy to work with.

All things electric went wonderfully!! Keith, the owner, is an awesome individual and runs a quality business. When his workers were finished, I went to the basement and they had not cleaned up after themselves... It wasn't too bad so I just decided to clean it up myself. Keith called that day to see if his crew had cleaned up and I told him they hadn't.... He was ready to send them back out, but I told him no. The debris and such on the outside of the house had been cleaned up and disposed of, but the basement had wood chips, sawdust, electric parts and such lying around. I vacuumed and in doing so, found a hammer that they had left behind, but I also found damage to my chest freezer lid. It was 10 months old and now had a dent in the lid. It was as if someone had knelt on it instead of using a ladder.... Since it was dented, and bowed, it no longer shut tightly on one side and frost was collecting... I called Keith and he was immediately accommodating. He said to get Sears to replace the lid or get a new freezer, whichever I wanted. As it turned out, replacing the lid turned out to be more expensive than just buying a new one, so Keith paid to have a new one delivered and installed in my basement! I gave him the old freezer to use, or donate. He's an excellent example of an honest, kind, fair business owner!

It went fine but they should be able to identify the circuits without clicking the circuit breakers repeatedly.

The owner came out to check the box and explain the services. A week later the workers came and installed the new box, the higher level of electricity and the surge protector. They worked all day, were very polite and cleaned up when done.

Keith and his crew were very prompt, friendly, professional, skilled, quick and tidy. They posses every quality I look for in a contractor. They have brought professionalism back to their trade! I purchased the Big Deal and saved $$; but it did not compromise their service or products. I had one other estimate (not from Angie's List) for the this job and is was $3,600.00 and I was told it would take 2 days. Speedy was done in less than 6 hours and left no evidence of being here other than the new parts/materials they installed. The job was scheduled and completed within a week - which included a holiday. Other contractors still hadn't even called me back about an estimate at that time. Keith checked back with me a few days later to see if I was satisfied. How often does that happen these days?I won't hesitate to use him again and have confidently told my family and friends to call him for their future electrical needs. I was also very grateful that Keith never tried to "up-sell" me on this project or any other electrical services.

I did not get what was advertised on the Big Deal for Speedy Electric. I did get a new panel and new breakers, but it was not the advertised BRC Cutler Hammer Panel. What I got was the Eton Panel. The Big Deal also stated that I was to get new boards installed, and I did not get that either. When I mentioned it to Mr. Speedy, he said that he was not aware of that included new panels in the Big Deal. He was a gentleman and he did make sure that everything was done; I just didn't get what was advertised.

They came to the house and got right on it. It took about 8-9 hours with 2 electricians to replace the old and put in the new. They then activated the new one and then listed what all breakers belong to-That really helped. It appears they were working on it non stop and it looks great and works great....I'm very happy!

It was a big deal purchase. My experience was okay. The owner of the company came out and made arrangements. He saw what he had to do and everything. The guys that came out and actually did it were okay. I wasn't real impressed with them. They were also supposed to change out a light in the back but they changed out the light in the front instead. It's like they weren't listening to what I was saying that needed to be done. They did fix it right away. It was okay. Price was great. The guys showed up over an hour late but they did call and say they were going to be late. They installed it and left, they didn't go over anything with me or didn't show me anything.

The service was conducted professionally.

Good. Very responsive. If there was only one minor complaint it's that they could have done a better job cleaning up. That said, they were very helpful and made sure all of my concerns were met. I would use them again.

I purchased the package in early Feb. 2013 for a house I am renovating. I did not want the panel installed until after Memorial Day for scheduling reasons. I was a little nervous about purchasing something so far in advance but it worked out great. Keith was responsive to my e-mail communications before the install time. When it was time to put the panel in he showed up when he said he would for the pre-install check. Keith and his staff arrived for the actual appointment right when they said they would and his employee worked very diligently and efficiently. They were done when they said they would be. We had a minor communication glitch about the permit but once we got our communications straight that was fine too. Keith could have been a little more forthcoming on his thinking about this but once I understood his rationale I realized he was correct and was glad for his decision. Very happy with the job and feel like this Angie's Deal was a good one.

Two electricians from Speed's Electric arrived and after their introductions, I showed them where the old electrical box was located and where the dryer hook up use to be in the basement. After that, they moved their equipment into the areas that they needed to be in and went right to work. They replaced the electrical box and the main line outside and then installed the surge protector and the dryer line with-in 5 hours. They were very polite and never strayed from the task at hand. They even labelled the electrical box for me. Soon after they had left, Mr. Speed called to see how everything went and I told him how I was pleased with their professionalism and their performance and that I would hire his services again. At the moment, everything is working well. Great job.

I took other bids and found this company's representatives to be efficient and helpful. They convinced me to also purchase a full house surge protection. While this was a fair price, I received other bids and felt I could have received this price with the research I did with other companies. I don't know if this was as quite a bit of saving as the offer was outlined.

Keith Speed was good with the estimate and keeping us informed when the work would be done. He uses good quality materials and the job was completed as requested. My only complaint was that at least one of his workers was a smoker who left cigarette butts out by the electric meter where they were working. I would use them again.

They have just finished. He replaced the main wire coming into the house and he replaced a panel. The price was exactly as estimated. He worked around my schedule. He did what he was supposed to do. I don't know much about electrical stuff, but he was good. He was here last week and I will be using him again. He was quick. I wrote down the wrong date when I arranged to meet him, so once he got the key, he did the job quickly!
