These guys are a rip off… once the work is done they never return a call…My wife was quoted 20 hours on our job to run wiring for a hot tub… I thought it was ridiculous but she proceeded on the condition that if it didn’t take as long the price would be adjusted… (I could have walked from their office and did this job in under 20 hours)… They put the job off for weeks before finally getting to it and when they finally arrived, the 2 guys spent a little over 4 hours doing the work, after borrowing several tools from me, these guys were very un-organized…they even went on a “parts run”. When they got back there were no more parts, and they didn’t take anything else out of their truck to finish the job…there was also trash left on site… My wife asked if the price would be reduced, since it only took the 4 hours… the employees stated they would talk to the guy in charge of that. They were also supposed to come back for a city inspection that they insisted that we be there for… I took a whole day off work for them not to even show up, or call… Days later the city inspector showed up after my wife reached out to them; sme didn’t even show up… the inspector found several problems with their work… After many calls concerning the bill we never got a call back… It is now months later and we have finally received a bill for the 20 hours. My wife called to complain via voice mail and the guys finally called back and his only reply was that the time was justified… Would not recommend these guys to anyone, they are very unprofessional, and very unethical…

SME was unable to get it repaired, unfortunately, but I firmly believe that if I'd stayed with them, my generator would still be working today.

I had used Settle Muter Electric two years in a row to service our whole house generator. Those service calls went fine, as far as I can tell. I call last week to set up another call, left a message to that effect and no return call until a week later. The person that returned the call "Megan" left a message that was why she was calling and left a phone number unrelated to Settle Muter Electric to call her back on. There was no answer on that number and no answer by anyone at the serveral extensions I tried on their business number. I guess they have too much work to worry about mine.

Charlie recommended a separate fan with new lighting to clear steam from the room better. Several weeks ago I contacted Charlie via email to ask about pricing and scheduling, after one follow up he did reply with cost and said it would be about two weeks before he could do the work. I replied immediately, on June 4th, with an acceptance of his quote and suggested dates 2 and 3 weeks out; I have sent two follow up emails since, but have received no reply. Disappointing.

I have very mixed feelings about the service I received from Settle-Muter Electric. On the one hand, Sean, our main technician was fantastic. He was punctual, polite and great at answering questions I had. He cleaned up his work areas and overall I thought he did great quality work. There were a couple of issues that occurred during the two months over which the electrical work on our home dragged out. First, they installed a new panel and it was poorly and incompletely labeled. We are doing extensive renovations on our home and this poor labeling made it difficult to be able to shut off the electric in particular rooms because even with all the breakers turned off that were labeled for that room, certain outlets and switches were still live. It took a month and multiple reminders to get a technician out to fix the problem. At the time that I scheduled the appointment for a technician to come and re-label the panel I also asked if they would be able to install one additional outlet while they were here. The scheduler told me yes that would be fine and the work was done the next week. I then received a bill in the mail for that additional outlet that charged me almost 4-times the price that I was charged for having an outlet installed when the technician was first here. Before the larger project began I was given a quote, but I was never given a new quote for this work indicating that the price would be so much higher for this additional outlet. I thought this was egregious given the technician was already here to fix a problem with the prior work. I wouldn't use this company again because of these issues.

The person I dealt with was very good (I think his name was Jason). They are very knowledgeable. My only issue was that they walked in out of our home a lot and tracked in a whole lot of mud.

They provided excellent customer service. They arrived on time, was very professional and I would do business with them again.

The best experience we have had with anything added to our home. All A+!s!!

We've had SME out every year to perform a yearly inspection and maintenance on the generator since it was installed several years ago and they always do a great job. I couldn't be happier with the services they provide.

James and Tim were at my home before their stated time, accessed the area to be worked and began. This was one of the best customer service experiences ever!

They did a fantastic job. Jason the service representative and the installer was great. He explained everything to me. Him and his partner came in and did the work and everything has worked great ever since. They were very accessible by phone and I would give them my highest rating. He is competitive on price, he is not cheap, but he has good quality. I would use them again.

Everything was done first class and all is still working fine except for the sensor in the post lamp now wants to go on and off a few times during the day. I believe I might have a faulty sensor although I had just purchased it at Lowes. I would recommend them.

Mike Hyde was our contact for this job and was very professional. He was on time, made all the necessary arrangements and job was completed in a timely manner.

From the moment we talked with Mike everything was handled promptly. He walked through the house the next day, we received the quote the next day, and his team began work the first day after we closed on our home. It was a great experience. Having plaster walls and an entire house of knob and tube wiring to remove was made to seem like "no big deal". My walls were far more intact than I assumed they would be, and the guys did a great job. Even when we changed our minds and had them out more than a month later to add light switches and outlets they arrived promptly and got the job done. They made an experience I was dreading very positive! If I ever have to rewire a home again (which god forbid I ever have to do again) I would DEFINATELY choose Mike to do it!

It appears to be a good company right now in the process of negotiating the contract for a whole house generator from them. I talked to one of their staff by the name of Mike Hyde and he has already given me a written estimate for a whole house generator. It's a substantial amount of money but it's a Cadillac-type system and he gave me a written estimate and everything that I need even though it's pretty expensive. It seems to be exactly what I've been looking for, I'm very pleased. I haven't found anything comfortable in quality to what they're offering and even though their system is pretty expensive, I'm thinking I'm gonna go ahead and sign with them.

Mike gave me a thorough quote for a turn-key operation. SME was the only company that provided the complete service. Others did not include the gas hook-up or permits or inspections. Mike was the only person who told me that I would need an up-sized gas meter that I would order from Col. Gas separately, but he provided phone numbers. The gas hook-up was subcontracted to a plumber, but I did not have to coordinate any of that myself. The install was on a drizzly day, but everything was kept very clean for me. The operation of the generator was explained to me and the maintenance was reviewed a couple times. The entire process was professional from start to finish and I would recommend them highly.

It was great!!! I was very happy with the results, service and the gentleman they sent out.

They were phenomenal. They were on time, courteous and clean. They were a joy to work with.
