Scott Hall Remodeling

This project involved completely remodeling a master bath and a half bathroom. Scott was excellent at listening to exactly what we wanted, making suggestions of different choices and ideas, and presenting us with a very detailed plan of exactly what would be accomplished. His Project Scope of Work outlined the steps that would be taken to perform the remodel and product allowances that would be included in the estimate. It was a very complete picture of what was to take place. The master bath was completely torn out, including bath/shower, dry-wall, floor, soffits, doors, vanity, etc. A new shower, and doors, vanity, sink, faucets, toilet, light bar, exhaust-fan and timer, switches, outlets, drywall, ceiling, mirror, hall doors, sub-floor, tile floor and trim were all installed. The half-bath included tearing out and installing new doors, pedestal sink, toilet, light fixture, tearing out wall-paper and painting walls, and installing new tile floors and trim. Our primary worker on this job was Mike, who was excellent at all phases of the project. He was very knowledgable, detail- oriented, and trustworthy. He always cleaned up each day, let us know immediately of any unexpected "bumps" that occurred in the project, like a wall that was out of plumb,etc. and offered choices to correct the problem. The vendors that Scott suggested made the selection of materials an enjoyable experience. They were helpful and mindful of any budget considerations, offering choices and decorating suggestions. Excellent communication was always maintained between everyone involved in the project. Phone calls and emails were promptly returned. I would definitely use Scott Hall remodeling again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality, ethical company.

Scott Hall came to the house and listened to what we wanted to do. While we had some ideas about what we wanted Scott, to his credit, asked an interior designer, Ali Souder, to help him come up with a design. That was very helpful because we were able to come up with an interesting marble tile backsplash that was the focal point of the bathroom design. Plans were developed; estimates determined; and we moved ahead with the remodel. Both Ali and Scott were helpful in product selection (to include plumbing fixtures, floor tile and cultured marble for sinks) and Scott suggested a heating option that allows us to increase the temperature of the bathroom for peak usage times in the winter. Mike Salvatori was the main construction specialist and was extremely easy to work with. Even the demolition phase of the remodel was quick and pretty painless. He respected our space, kept things clean and was very capable with the various aspects of the comprehensive remodel. He worked with us on paint colors, had suggestions when we ran into small problems, and came back promptly to fix a few issues that came up. We were very satisfied with the process -- we had put off this remodel for quite awhile in part because of how disruptive we knew it would be. Working with this company greatly reduced the disruption and we are very happy with our beautiful new bathroom.

I contacted Scott Hall Remodeling sometime in July. Scott visited our house in September to see our two bathrooms and gave us a proposal. In October we worked with him and his suppliers to order the items that would be needed. Bryn, one of Scott's contractors did the work on our house. Bryn does great work and it was nice being able to trust him in our home while we were at work. In late November the remodeling began and was complete after two weeks. Scott is great with keeping in touch. Whenever I had a concern or question I could call, email or text him and get an answer within a day or two. He worked with us to give us a good product within our budget. If we had a suggestion he listened to us and gave his own input on how to make it work. Project went very well - Scott and his team were professional and respectful of our home and our time. Scott was very up front with costs - his initial estimate ($200 service fee, which was then applied to the job) was very thorough and detailed and included a list of EVERYTHING that was included in the project and a budget for items such as tile, fixtures and vanity/cabinet selection. He was fair with the budget estimates and when we met with his recommended vendors for tile and fixture selection, we had a wide variety of items that we could choose from that were all within the budget estimate. This level of detail was something that we found difficult to get with our other high level estimates from other contractors. Overall we would highly recommend Scott and his team - we found them on Angie's list and initially contacted them due to the great reviews...very pleased to report that our experience was just as positive.

It went great! We love our new bathroom and the whole experience from beginning to end was fantastic. Scott and Bryn were both super professional, knowledgeable, and well organized....and just really nice people to work with too. Scott took care of absolutely all of the logistics and told us exactly what we needed to pick out for materials and when, which kept the project running like clockwork. It also made everything super easy and low stress for us (we were expecting any project like this to be a bit of a headache, but things couldn't have gone smoother). This included hooking us up with Dan Cook cabinets for the custom vanity, which turned out beautiful. Scott was always very responsive and easy to get a hold of via email or phone. He also provided detailed and clear estimates and invoices and kept us promptly updated on any cost variances that occurred as we picked out materials. Bryn did an amazing job as well and is very skilled at all aspects of remodeling, from carpentry to electrical to plumbing to tilework. All of his work was top notch, and he really kept the mess to a minimum by cleaning up after every work day. Through the project Bryn also did a great job communicating to us about his schedule, progress, and getting feedback along the way. After the project was finished and we needed some touch up on couple of small items, Scott promptly made sure things were taken care of, so these guys really stand by their work too. We would absolutely not hesitate to hire Scott Hall again...and you should hire him too!

My wife and I were immediately impressed with Scott when he first came to consult with us. This was a very large project and we wanted to make sure it would be done properly. Scott specializes in bathrooms and his knowledge was apparent. He went over the materials and techniques that he uses and explained why he uses them over other options. He also explained that he has certain suppliers that he works closely with based on his experience and their ability to consult with clients. All this put us at ease. Scott developed a plan for the bathroom in a consultation with his team and gave us multiple options on our remodel. The fact that it was a consultative process is another thing that we felt set Scott apart. He created a decision timeline so we understood when each decision needed to be made in order to keep the project on time. It made sure that we ended up with something we were going to be happy with. During the remodel, Scott's team always kept us appraised of the progress. They were very careful to minimize the dust and mess that comes with this kind of work. All projects have bumps and ours was no exception. Scott's team handled each bump with professionalism which ensured a win-win outcome. Scott's team always kept us up to date, consulted with us, and gave us options whenever a decision needed to be made. This included changes in cost as we chose some options which increased or decreased cost. In the end, we are thrilled with our new bathroom and closet.

Discussed with Scott on several occasions the project before we decided to hire him. Was very professional throughout all aspects of the project and never pushy to "get the sale." Scott is very-detail oriented and attentive to providing the best possible finished product. Very personable and trustworthy. Greg was phenomenal! Was uncomfortable initially with leaving a stranger in my house alone which soon faded after getting to know him. My son forgot he left our dog out on a rainy day which Greg noticed so he brought her in for us. This is the type of person Scott has working for him. Greg also did a phenomenal job on the wainscoting; get compliments all the time on it. Throughout the whole experience, Greg made as many accomodations for us as he could in order to avoid disruptions to our daily lives. Thanks guys!

I love our new bathroom! What I liked best about SHR is that Scott is easy to communicate with and provided a realistic material allowance. Work began and ended on schedule. The work site and rest of the house was neatly cleaned up each day. Workers were courteous and professional. The vendors Scott works with are extremely helpful. Even if something happened like the vanity delivered was 2 inches shorter than contract specifications, we notified Scott right away and it was fixed right away. Scott really worked with us to make sure we got the bathroom we wanted within our budget.

Look no further. This is the company that you want to remodel your bathroom. The quality of the work is exceptional and Scott is a great listener and communicator. From estimate to completion there were no surprises. The work was completed on time and within three weeks including the time it took to order and receive the shower glass. (The glass could not be ordered until the demolition work was completed and precise measurements were taken.) Bryn completed most of the work and his attention to detail is quite amazing. His earlier training in cabinet making was evident in everything he did. The solid surface materials were cut with great precision and installations were done to perfection. The bathroom was cleaned every night so that it was usable whenever work was not going on. Like Scott, Bryn is very easy to work with and he is an excellent listener and communicator. An important part of any contractor?s job is to match knowledge and skill with good products and materials. I am very pleased with the Onyx surfaces. An elegant look and no more grout to keep clean and replace. I am also very pleased with the fixtures purchased from Worly Supply and the shower glass provided and installed by L&M Glass Products. It is worth noting that the shower glass is truly frameless and this adds significantly to the contemporary high-end look of the bathroom. The cost of the project was quite reasonable given the quality of the work and materials used. Scott estimated and charged for the work performed and I received his discount on products and materials purchased from his suppliers. All in all, this was a great experience and a great outcome. Scott makes it very easy to give his company my highest recommendation.

I really can't say enough good things about Scott Hall Remodeling - we had an excellent experience. In addition to Scott, we met with 3 other contractors. Scott's price was in the middle of the pack, but his level of service was by far the best. For our first meeting, he took more time than any other contractor to discuss our options with us and really tried to understand what we were looking for. His bid was more thought out and more specific than anyone else's. He was also the only contractor to come back in-person to meet with us and review his proposal. After signing up for the project, Scott provided us with a list of his preferred product suppliers complete with specific contacts. We scheduled appointments and were able to select our granite, tile, and fixtures in less than 2 days. Scott only works with suppliers who provide great service so this made it very easy for us. He also receives discounts on all products and passes the savings on to his customer instead of keeping it which helped us save a considerable amount of money on the supplies. Scott has a small team of exceptional professional's who complete the work and he keeps in touch with them daily to check on the progress and manage the project. Greg completed the large majority of work for our project and the level of service and quality of work he provided was excellent. He took special precautions to ensure the rest of our house was not damaged when he gutted the bathrooms (drop cloths and plastic liner on the steps). He was able to salvage our old vanity and countertops so we could donate them. I had done quite a bit of research on the best ways to remodel a bathroom. When it came time to reconstruct the bathrooms, Greg used all the best quality products and techniques (solid sub flooring, tile membrane, wedi board to waterproof the shower area, etc.) which was really important to us. We felt very comfortable letting Greg into our home while we were at work and had complete trust in him. He was very neat and made sure to clean up the at the end of each day so that there was minimal disruption to the rest of our house. Each day I would touch base with him and he would give me an update on what he would be doing and where he was in the process. Scott also checked in with me to make sure things were going well. The best part of the project was when they started to install the finishes. Greg is excellent at laying tile and since I consider myself to be a pretty picky person I really appreciated his attention to detail. He is a true craftsman. A few times some issues came up with products we ordered and he was really good about updating me on what was going on and he made every effort to remedy the situation as quickly as possible and work around the obstacles. He addressed any concerns that I had and did everything he could to ensure my 100% satisfaction. The finished product is amazing and we enjoy our new bathrooms every day. I don't think there are many companies out there like Scott Hall Remodeling. They are great at what they do, provide excellent service and use quality products which is rare nowadays. I will certainly use them again in the future and highly recommend them.

Scott was prompt from the very beginning. He was able to accommodate our start date to start early so the project would be complete before the birth of our child. Scott incorporated our ideas and created a plan that worked well for us. When plans became difficult to execute we were involved in the whole process to quickly change plans to create a better overall outcome. His workmen were friendly, prompt and very knowledgeable. Scott's vendors were some of the best we worked with and he was always prompt at overseeing the process. The project took 8 weeks to complete and was on time and budget. We couldn't be happier!

Scott is very easy to work with and the work is top notch. We are very picky about the quality of work done in our house and we had no problems with the work performed by Scott and his men. He was always accommodating, fair, courteous and in some cases went above and beyond what we would expect. There were never any problems getting in contact with him and he was always prompt about returning calls. The bathroom is beautiful and we couldn't be happier with the everything Scott Hall Remodeling did. For our next big project, we would not hesitate to call Scott.

The project went very well. Scott was very patient finding out what I wanted and explaining the best way to accomplish it. He was very clear explaining exactly what he was planning to do and why. His attention to detail was very impressive. He was also very careful to explain and project costs. The project was done within the projected time frame. As the project progressed Scott was able to accommodate several changes but kept the project on track. He was very creative in finding ways to get exactly what I was asking for and never hesitated to discuss an idea. The bathroom looks great and functions as planned. This was a very good experience.

Our experience with Scott Hall Remodeling was amazing. We had already received two other estimates, but waited until Scott was available for a third. We are glad we did. Scott listened to our ideas and concerns, producing separate, detailed, multi-page proposals for each bath. He returned to review the proposals with us. He honored our budget as well as our ideas for updating both bathrooms. Once the contract was signed, we then received a three-page "to do" document with a contact list of possible suppliers and deadlines. This document was invaluable as we prepared for the project. We were directed to Denise at The Tile Shop and Tia at Worly Plumbing who were both extremely helpful. Greg and Dave did the initial demolition in a day. From then on Greg did meticulous, high-quality work on all facets of the project. Clean-up each day was excellent, leaving hardly a trace of the work that had been done that day. Part way through the project when I second-guessed one of the material choices, Scott and Denise made time for me, the same day, to discuss the choice and make sure it was what we wanted. Greg did an amazing job on the wall prep before painting and on the tile flooring. He spent extra time on a pocket door to the master bath that now works better than it ever has. The concern for the client and attention to detail are impressive. We cannot say enough about the quality of the work done by Scott Hall Remodeling.

We had to replace our shower because of a leak in the tile that resulted in the wall giving in. So we contacted several companies to get estimates and look at our options. One actually told me that our job was too "small" for them and I should look elsewhere. Another sent me out to look at tile and then implied that that I wasn't really serious about the job and they would need a deposit to go any further. So it was great to find Scott Hall Remodeling and someone who wanted to do a job and do it well.He made several trips before we got the estimate fine tuned as to the material and extras we wanted. We signed the contract and were given a start date. I was pleasantly surprised when we were moved up on the schedule and they were able to start about a week sooner than planned. The first step was to remove the existing tile and glass. Other than some noise, the job went pretty fast and everything was kept very clean. I had imagined dust tracked all over. They used the garage to work in as was agreed upon ahead of time. There was no damage to the subfloor and existing plumbing was still good so no surprises. The new walls went up just as quick and while they were working the glass company came by to do their measurements and a date was set for installation. The glass company was on time and again very clean and neat. Everything was spelled out in our contract so we had no problems during the work. Scott made a final inspection and answered any questions we had. He has since sent me information on cleaning the new glass and walls. We are very happy with the new shower. I couldn't be happier with the way the job was handled, from start to finish and would definitely recommend Scott for any type of bathroom remodel.

It went very well - we had previously had Scott renovate our master bath so we were familiar with his work. He and his crew were efficient, professional, and always courteous and flexible. Scott worked with us to pick materials and products that we could afford without compromising quality - he was open to our suggestions and responsive to our questions. He worked hard to fix the plumbing after the original design was not to our liking, and he did battle with the tub manufacturer on our behalf after they delivered a tub with an imperfection. All in all we were very pleased with the process and outcome and would not hesitate to recommend him.

From start to finish Scott was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and concerned about any issues we had. We chose his company in part because of his reputation for customer service. He took time to listen to what we wanted, including a custom vanity area with storage underneath. He and his co-worker Greg were consistently on time, cheerful, and easy to work with. At the end Scott went over the punch out list with us and addressed any concerns we had about trim pieces etc, completely to our satisfaction, and even gave us a small gift since the project took a little longer than we had hoped. He was a pleasure to work with and we're very happy with the end product.

Scott remodeled a full bath for me that had been leaking from the tub/shower area for more than 2 years and therefor rarely used. The project was probably a bit frustrating for him as we kept adding and subtracting work to be done by Scott's company or myself. In the end, however, everything was accomplished in an excellent manner. My wife is extremely pleased with the final product as am I.Scott takes customer service very seriously and is willing to bend over backwards to make sure the customer is satisfied. If I had to do it over, I probably would lock in a little more concretely what the project was going to entail. I certainly would use Scott again to do the work.

The work went very smoothly. The tearing out was accomplished in a day or two. If I were not happy with something, they were very cooperative and pleasant about changing it to suit my taste. I had had a kitchen remodeled and a small bathroom done with other companies. They were nightmares, so it was such a pleasant experience to have someone as competent as Scott and his crew, and as communicative and dedicated to getting the work done in a timely manner. When I changed my mind about the lights, Bryn Hanover removed the lights and installed new ones and was so nice about doing so. The toilet opening in the floor was not the typical opening, so they tested two different toilets to see which one would fit the best. Any mistakes were minor and were always taken care of satisfactorily and quickly. It was an enjoyable experience considering that I was without a toilet or shower or water on the second floor for five weeks. I am so pleased with the results!

My experience from start to finish was extremely positive. During two planning meetings, Scott and Greg discussed my vision d for each bathroom, provided me lots of additional information to consider (I found their website featuring detailed photos of some of their earlier projects particularly helpful), and helped me develop comprehensive final plan for each bathroom which included detailed cost estimates for each stage of the work as well as recommended vendors for all required materials and services. I then briefly visited each vendor (all of whom were extremely helpful), informed Scott and Greg of my design decisions, and turned the bathrooms over to them. They were very up-front with me concerning their schedule, Work on my bathrooms could not begin until they had completed several jobs already in progress or scheduled prior to mine. They estimated beginning in approximately six weeks after our final design meeting, and were ultimately able to begin in roughly five. Greg would do most of the work on my bathrooms. He arrived at my home each day between 8:30 and 9:30, and normally reached logical stopping points between 3:30 and 4:30. Someone in the family was often home while the work was being done, but I did not feel compelled to have anyone present, and family members kept to their normal schedules. I simply provided Greg with a house key and garage door code to ensure he could come and go as needed. Throughout the project, Greg treated my house with kid gloves. My property was always moved well away from the work areas or well protected, and drop cloths were always patiently installed at the start of each work day. I think that my house was actually cleaner when they left at quitting time that it was when they arrived each morning. The meticulous attention-to-detail needed to ensure high quality work was evident throughout the process. Some tasks were incredibly exacting and time-consuming, but visible progress was made each day and Greg was great about letting me know what he had accomplished and what he planned for the next day as he left each evening.. Scott also made a point of meeting with me regularly weekly to review progress and ensure I was satisfied with the work. Approximately two months (including long weekends for Memorial Day and Fourth of July, and a 2-week wait for specially ordered glass), my bathrooms were completely remodeled and I could not be happier with the results. One last note.....I had a third bathroom that the family generally used while the other two were being worked on, but Greg was great about scheduling his work to minimize the time that the bathrooms being worked on were "off-limits." I believe that had we been required to use the either of the two being worked on, Greg would have found a way to accommodate us. These bathroom makeovers were my first experience with major home renovations, and I went in with more than a little concern. The great experience I had with Scott Hall Remodeling makes me far less reluctant to consider similar projects in the future.

From start to finish, Scott and his crew were wonderful to work with. Scott was punctual for the estimate appointment and we received the estimate very shortly after his visit. Scott did a great job keeping in touch via e-mail throughout the process, so we were quite aware of the timeframe of when they would start and about how long the project would take. The tearing out of the shower was done very neatly with minimal effect to the household. The installation of all components (walls, basin, plumbing, finishing work) was very well done and looks super. Scott's choice of products is excellent. We will definitely work with him again in the future.

The young man doing the work was very professional, his work was excellent. He cleaned up completely after each day's work. Scott was by regularly to keep us up to date on progress and any issues. The final product was outstanding...just what I wanted and needed. Event though this was not a huge job (removal of old insert, old tub, wall tile, install of the new) it was a great job. He was also able to repair the downstairs ceilings, so well you could not tell in the slightest where the damage had occurred. We would use his company again without hesitation. It was Great! We were afraid our lives would be turned upside down for weeks, that's why we waited. But Scott Hall and crew were in and done in the time frame specified, even with a few extra things we added after they got started.
