The sales person was flexible with our schedule the second person for the second measurement is not as flexible. He wants you to plan around his schedule. Be prepared to take off of work three times if you get windows from Rosati's now.

This is the second time we have used Rosati windows. They did all of our windows in our last house, and we had a tremendous experience, and raved and referred many of our neighbors and friends to Rosati. At our new house, Rosati was the only company we called to replace all our windows. We knew exactly what we wanted, and didn't even question the process because we had such a positive experience prior. After paying our $8900 deposit in June, and signing a contract saying estimated installation of 12-14 weeks....we are here in November still without windows. Once October hit, and we had not had any other communication on our project, we began calling. We would be asked to follow up the following Monday. This went on for 3 weeks, with no good information to an installation date. Finally we were given a "for sure" date of November 10th. I clarified, that this would in fact be the date given that we have to adjust our work and travel schedules. Today, we were informed that they do not have some parts that they need to manufacture our windows. The parts will not be in until next week, so the windows may or may not get manufactured next week which then pushes the installation out to the following week, if we are able to request additional time off of work, or we will be looking at the week of Thanksgiving. Rosati-this is unacceptable. I know now there is nothing we can do to speed anything along at this point. There seems to be no sense of urgency, or accountability to complete our job. You took our check in June and literally cashed it the following day. If the job was too large, or there was any doubt that this could be completed in the reasonable estimated amount of time, some one should have just been honest and spoke up. We should not have been strung along the entire month of October. The week you are supposed to be manufacturing our windows, you shouldn't be discovering that you are missing the parts-especially 4 1/2 months after they were ordered. We would have never guessed we would be adjusting work and travel schedules leadiing up to Thanksgiving when we ordered those windows in June. We are disheartened to give such a negative review. We are happy your business is doing so great, but lets hope your growth isn't causing you to lose focus of what really matters-taking care of your customers, and doing what you say you are going to do. Just be honest up front-please don't take the loyalty of your customers for granted.

First, I would like to apologize to our customer. Typically when we order parts from our vendors it is about a two week delivery. Uncharacteristically, our vendors have been very busy and are now pushing delivery out four weeks, six and sometimes eight weeks. It has been impossible for us to react to these delivery dates and not run out of parts. I am making no excuses. We did run out of a part and we take full responsibility. Again, I am sorry. Mike Rosati.

We had used them before and were happy with the work. But we had a problem with the installion of a storm door over a new door. Both a salesman and a measurer came out to look at our old storm door and decided that in their opinion it could be put back on over the new door. It took them nearly 3 months to come out and install the new doors. When the installer came out he showed me that the old storm door was too wide to install over our new door. So the salesman told me that we could get a Provia storm door that was orgionally $796 for only $466.00 for the inconvience but it would take 9-11 weeks to get the new storm door installed. I didn't want to wait that long to get the new door so I contacted another company who also carries Provia doors. They told us that the exact same door would only be $506 plus a 5% Angie's List discount taking it down to $480.00 Additionally; between the new front door and the inside of the house there was a gap 3 feet across and a 1/4 inch wide and 3/8ths of an inch deep. When the other company came out to put on the new door they also put in prefinished molding to fill the gap.
Description of Work: We hired them to install our new front door and rehang our old storm door.

Response from Rosati Windows
I don't understand. The main door went in flawlessly, which is what she bought from us. It happens quite often where an old storm door will not go back onto the new door. Our price to install a new storm door was very fair. I am sorry our lead time is pushed out this time of year, but I don't feel we did anything wrong, nor did we deserve a negative review. We had used Rosati's previously when we sold our house 10 years ago. We had the windows installed and the house sold with 2 months so we really did not get to enjoy the new purchase. We had such a good experience the first time that we decided to go to Rosati's again. We ended up getting the same salesperson as the first time. That showed us that we made the right decision. Not only did we know that Rosati's had a good reputation, we realized that it was a good place to work if a salesperson has stayed on staff for over 10 years. The communication process was very throughout, from meeting the salesperson, to scheduling the installation, to the follow-up and quality check. The initial meeting with the salesperson was very detailed and we knew who be contacting us in the future. The installation staff was right on time and worked continuously through the day to get old windows removed and the new ones installed. They cleaned up as they moved from window to window. Installing all 16 windows took all day, so they made arrangements to return the next day to perform final adjustments and seal them. The installation crew was very professional and truly enjoyed themselves as they were working. Rosati's then followed up after installation and sent out a representative to check all the windows to ensure they were installed to their specifications, to answer any questions, and make sure that we were happy. Great job Rosati Team!!! I highly recommend Rosati's, and would use them again.

We purchased windows from Rosati in 2004 ($6,444) and one of the large window was damaged in 2014 and last years cold weather caused the decorated glass to fog inside two smaller windows. We called Rosati in June, they sent an investigator/estimator out to a**** our situation and we ordered the glass. There was no charge for the two smaller decorated glass window replacements and the large window cost was less than we anticipated. We have always received outstanding service from this company.

Many of our neighbors have installed Rosati windows and had nothing but great things to say about the company. As a result, we did not hesitate to call them when it was time to replace our aging windows and patio doors. We contacted another firm earlier that we had dealt with in the past for a second estimate. While the Rosati salesman gave us an estimate the same day we met with him, we waited two weeks for the other firm's estimate. The Rosati salesman was very polite and professional and, as advertised, there was no high pressure sales. We visited the Rosati showroom and met with the salesman again a few days later and he took the time to show us the type of window we would be getting, how it worked and how it was made. Later - after putting down an initial deposit for the windows - a Rosati technician came to our house to take exact measurements for the windows and doors. Again, he was polite and professional and answered our questions. While we were waiting for the windows to be manufactured and installed, we got a letter from Rosati saying that due to heavy sales, they were running behind on manufacturing windows and it might take longer than we were initially told. I called and talked to someone, explained that we needed them installed before Oct. 1 and he said he would make it happen. We got a call Sept. 17, saying they would be installing our windows the next day. The next morning, an old pickup truck with a broken windshield pulled up to our house with our new windows. The truck did not have any identification that it was a Rosati vehicle and the installation crew did not have uniforms, T-shirts, or anything that said they were with Rosati. I asked one of the crew members if they were with Rosati or sub-contractors. He said they were with Rosati. I later was told by Mike Rosati that the old pickup truck was being used because their main truck had broken down and it was either use the old one or not install our windows that day. A couple of weeks later, I was told that installers are sub-contractors who work exclusively for Rosati. Two of my neighbors, both with Rosati windows, commented on the vehicles and the lack of uniforms. One even commented, "I thought you were getting Rosati windows." Although the windows seem to be fine and apparently were installed properly, we had just assumed the installation would be conducted by Rosati personnel rather than sub-contractors. Considering Rosati's reputation for professionalism, I guess we were disappointed that our experience was somewhat less than we had anticipated.

I apologize, but as I explained to our customer, my installer's truck broke down. The decision was made to take a backup truck, which I agree was pretty beat up, to make sure we installed the windows on the day promised. There are so many things that are affected when an install cancellation occurs that we never thought there would be an issue based on the condition of a truck. After some 30 years, I am pretty certain our customer would have been extremely upset if we had cancelled. I am sorry about the truck. I wish we hadn't been dinged on Angie's List for trying to make sure our customer was taken care of. Mike Rosati

I'm sorry to say I am disappointed in the results and the process I had to go through. I ordered doors in January and finally had them installed in May. Originally I was told the doors would be available in 10-12 weeks, but somehow the order got lost due to the fact that they were matching the existing woodwork. I expressed concern with the quality of the doors when they were being installed and was told to call the office and there was a person who could come out and fix the problems. In addition, they couldn't find my hardware so they used someone else's but had to make a second trip to put the handles on the closet doors. In the meantime, after I made several phone calls a person came out and didn't fix anything but took pictures, but then I never heard anything. Several weeks later I contacted the vice president at Rosatis and he also came out to look at the doors. He wasn't aware any pictures were taken and I never did find out what happened to those. In the meantime, the front office called twice to ask me how I liked the doors. Apparently, communications were lacking between the various departments within the company. I was pleased that the vice president agreed to make all new doors for me and agreed with me that the doors were not of a quality that should have left the store. I called at the beginning of September to check the status since I hadn't heard anything since the new doors were ordered, and I was told they had to be sent back again and that it would be another 10 weeks before I would receive them. Since I wasn't happy with this new delay I contacted the vice president again and was then told the doors would be done by September 19th. Again, I'm not sure what happened with the poor communications within the company. I had the doors installed September 24 and while I can tell the quality is better than before, they aren't what I expected. I had doors done by someone else in my kitchen four years ago and they are of a much better quality than the ones I just received. I appreciate that the doors were redone and I feel badly criticizing a company that has a good reputation. But I ended up spending a lot of money for a product that was not worth the price or the hassles I had to go through.

Customer service after the sale was poor- several phone calls unreturned. They would not schedule the installation in advance... the installation was on their time frame, not ours. However, the installation went very well and the two installers were very professional. All windows and interior work were done on the first day and all exterior work completed the second day. They were clean and the work was good. The windows look great, and we're very pleased with the color we chose for the exterior- it matches our siding very well. What an improvement over our old double-hung single-pan windows circa 1968! A bit frustrating until installation, then very happy. In the end, that's what counts with me.
Description of Work: Installation was 3 weeks later than promised, and we initially had trouble getting people to return our calls. We had 17 windows installed September 8th-9th.

The installation went fine, although the weather was very inclement. The windows seem to be a very good quality window. The screen door locking mechanism was defective. After the final inspection, it took numerous telephone calls and three house visits before the mechanism was finally replaced. The door is fine now. The storm door was finally fixed on Aug. 13, five months after the installation. The only remaining issue is the damage that was done to the exterior house siding when the kitchen window was installed. Regardless of the number of calls I have made, Rosati Windows has not yet come out to fix the siding. The main issue I have is the total lack of communication. Although I have left many telephone messages, the issue has not been resolved and I do not receive return calls. I did finally get an inspector to come out and look at the damage, but that was over two months ago, and I have not had any further response from Rosati. Although the windows have a lifetime warranty, I have to wonder what type of service I will get if any of the windows become defective. I have not had any success in contacting my original salesman, as he does not return my calls either.

We have nice older home, and wanted to replace at least 9 older windows. We chose Rosati Windows because we trusted their reputation, and felt that Mike Rosati meant what he said when he speaks about his company in his commercials, advertisements, and his word. Also I am a Quality Assurance professional, and have been in Quality Management most of my career, so I feel that I know a quality company, and a quality product when I see it. Along with my quality career, my wife (of over 40 years) and I have made many purchases together. We want to say that our experience with Rosati windows as a couple, and mine as a quality professional has been the best experience we have ever had with any company ever- no comparison. From the moment we made contact with the company to have sales representative come to our home, we have had the most friendly, knowledgeable, on-time, helpful people to work with that we could have ever imagined. The office staff on the phone was courteous and pleasant, John our sales rep. was extremely helpful, and answered every question we had. He knew everything about the product and the company, and informed us of what to expect along the way. We were happily surprised that the price allowed us to actually increase the amount of windows we wanted to replace from 9 to 12, plus a sliding glass door. The measuring rep. called and came right on time, and as John was very pleasant and a very good representative of the company. All along we were kept informed as to the installation date, and when the date came, the installers George and Ron came and did a superb job. Everything fit perfectly, the guys took the time to explain everything, cleaned up after themselves, the windows look and work even better than expected, and we are very happy with our new windows. I highly recommend Rosati windows as a consumer, and as a quality professional. Mike Rosati has a lot to be proud of with his company, and all who represent it. When I considered Rosati Windows, I read the company principles that Mike Rosati had laid out. #1 is ?The customer is the most important person in our company?- I truly believe he means this. For us, it was a complete quality experience done by a quality company.

The sales process was smooth and painless. The salesman, Steve Love was a pleasure to work with and did not pressure us. The windows took about 14 weeks to come in - which seems long but we had a odd shaped custom window that I think caused this. We chose vinyl windows with internal muntins. We were able to match the windows with the cherry stained woodwork around our existing windows. It matches perfectly! The installation crew was puntual and professional. They left no mess and were very efficient in their work. It was a big job - aobut 19 windows and it took them a day and a half. We love these windows! They look great and are a huge improvement over our old wood windows that let in drafts and had chipping paint etc. We have noticed a difference in street noise as well (we hear less of it). It has only been a few months, but we have had no problems at all. Rosati was supposed to come out and do a final quality check and they have not done this yet - possibly because they also installed a front door that had some issues which have not yet been resolved. I'm not sure if they will be calling me or not to schedule this. One small complaint I have had with the window and door experience is that I have most often had to call them instead of them callng me. I would definitely recommend Rosati to anyone wanting to replace their windows.

We had Rosati replace all of the windows and the front door of our house. I have written a separate review for the windows because our experience with the door and the windows was very different and I want to make sure they get credit for the great job on the windows. The sales process was smooth and we were not pressured. We really enjoyed working with the salesman Steve Love. In addition, the installation crew was professional and punctual. Unfortunately, the whole experience with this door has been horrible. The person who measured for the door did not measure correctly. Therefore, when we got the door, it did not fit and had to be remade. We were told it would be about three weeks. After six weeks and no contact from Rosati, I called them. We scheduled the installation of the new door. When the installers arrived and opened the box, the door was missing. The frame was there, but no door. I was told "this has never happened before", something I would be hearing again before the end of this sad saga. I wrote Mike Rosati to inform him of what was happening and to ask for an upgraded deadbolt on the door. He called me personally and apologized and agreed to provide the upgraded deadbolt which would have to be ordered. They did not want to wait until it came in to install the door with the original deadbolt. On July 21, they came back for the third try. My husband and I both work, so each time one of us has had to stay home from work. All seemed to go well. The door fit and looked great. A minor complaint is that they did not fill the nail holes in the casing - but I'm exausted from this process and will just do it myself. They left us the keys which we tried to use a few hours later and discovered that they did not fit the lock! We called Rosati and instead of bringing the keys to us, said they would just wait until the new deadbolt came in. I'm sitting here on August 4th and still do not have the new deadbolt nor do I have keys to my own front door. I called Rosati today and told them that this is unacceptable and that I would like to pick up the keys to my door. The person I spoke with tried to be helpful but apparently they do not have the keys, I got another "this has never happened before". Rosati specializes in windows so perhaps doors are just not their strong suit. We are happy with the door itself, it is attractive and seems high quality. However, given my experience with this door, I would not buy one from them again. UPDATE 8/11/14 - We just had a hard rain and our foyer is covered with water. Our new front door leaks! Just when I thought this experience could not get any worse.

We've worked with them before. I like the fellow from Rosati. He came out and looked at everything and he basically quoted me a door and installation at the same price that I was going to buy a door from a very major home improvement center in the Ohio. The product that they sell are excellent. The actual people who come to do the work are very kind, very courteous and very respectful of your house. You feel like the value that you get for your money with Rosati is outstanding so we are very happy with our front door.

This is the 3rd time we have had Rosati windows installed. This one was especially difficult due to the custom nature of the window. The installation went very well, as usual, and we are happy with the windows. The only issues we had was with scheduling. The first installer had to postpone due to rain, understandable and we agreed. The second installer came to our home instead of another appointment he should have been at - that homeowner did not want to rearrange so installer left our windows and went to the other side of town to correct appointment. He called to say he would not be able to return that day but would come over the next day (Saturday) or would contact us before 10am if he could not make it. He never called or made it during the morning but finally called around 1pm with a pretty lame excuse for not calling or coming by. We called Rosati on Saturday and they could not help, and we would not reschedule with the installer until my wife called Rosati Monday morning. They reschedule the same installer and the installation went fine.
Description of Work: Replaced 4 windows, all custom fit. Two extended close to the floor and required safety glass. the other two windows were half moon type that were above the lower two that were replaced. Original windows were about 28 years old.

This truly was one of the best buying experiences I've had. It was also the most efficient, organized, and quick install. First, a sales person came to my home to show me available products, do a quick measure of existing windows, and give me an estimate. Once I decided to use Rosati (I knew immediately, but I had other companies coming to give me estimates), I called the sales person back. He stopped by to finalize the estimate. Less than a week later, someone came out to do the full measurements. It took about four and a half to five weeks for the windows to be manufactured. I scheduled a time to have them installed. I was amazed by the efficiency of the installers. They worked in tandem and managed to install all 7 windows in about 5 hours. About 2 weeks later, someone came to do a QC on the windows and he was able to answer some questions I had about the functioning of the windows. The windows look great inside and out, and there is noticeable noise reduction compared to the old aluminum windows. Plus, I have noticed a more even air temperature inside, so I'm actually looking forward to winter just to see how much warmer it will be now that I don't have old, drafty windows.
Description of Work: I hired Rosati to replace 7 aluminum slider windows with vinyl double-hung windows

I would recommend this company to everyone. Our house looks so much nicer. The staff was fast and efficient.
Description of Work: We replaced our door with a fiberglass wood look door and added a storm door. We did choose the best of both lines and added the stained glass look to the storm door. We LOVE our combo. Even the storm door can be locked with the same key. The door has a nice grain and very wood like.

I called them and within a few days a salesperson came out and explained the process for replacing my door. He gave me an estimate. Within a few days, the installer from the company returned and actually replaced the door. Both the salesperson and the installer were professional and polite. I was very pleased with the door and the service. I would recommend them to others.
Description of Work: I called them to replace my sliding glass patio door.
