Description of Work: Very professional. He checked the basement and all around the house, then gave me advise about what I should do to prevent dampness on basement walls. He thought that the landscaping needed to be regraded.

Description of Work: Paul Boeriu, owner, visited my home April 12, 2013. He determined my objectives, assessed the situation and recommended I do nothing because I had no underlying problem. He was on time, professional, courteous and honest. This guy is everything you would hope for in a service provider.

Description of Work: I read a very positive review about Rogers that spoke to their honesty and integrity. Let me tell you this is so true of this company. It seems this industry is especally prone to have some companies trying to sell very expensive repairs where none are needed. This is very much the case for me as I was quoted $27,000 a few yearts ago and I felt that i needed to get a second opinion but didnt know who was legitimate. When i saw the writup on Rogers in Angies List i called them right away. The owner, Paul Boeriu came to the house and i showed him some discoleration in a few areas. He concluded that I had some drainage issues in the past and said there was nothing that needed to be fixed. Needless to say this backed up what Angies List said about this company. Anyone out there should feel very good about contacting them as they are very high on integrity, professionalism and honesty. Angies List has again earned my vote as a consumer for a source of great companies to provide services.

Description of Work: I wanted a knowledgeable person to evaluate my basement and foundations to see if there were any problems. The evaluation was that there is only minor damage due to settling of the foundations considering the age of the house, which is about 85 years, so no services are needed at this time.

Description of Work: These guys were great. Arrived with 3 trucks, 9 guys, worked together, friendly, well coordinated in the work effort. Dug new trench around perimeter of basement, took out the old clogged pipe, mud, muck, dug new sump, retrenched and re-piped drains from gutter downspouts, installed new pipe in basement, new gravel, new thorough seal on all cinder black interior walls, poured new concrete on trench and done! Cleaned up each day. Scary stuff for a homeowner getting foundation work like this done but all went well. Other contractors in this business may also be good and reliable, but I know for sure this team is top notch.

Description of Work: The owner came to determine why our basement was leaking when it previously had not. He was very professional and helpful as far as suggesting how to keep water from draining toward our home. Sadly, he did not look closely enough at our sump pump to determine it was broken and not working. We could not afford to have significant draining done around the home to divert water, so we were not able to use Rogers.

This was the second company we called for an estimate. I appreciated the straight forward, no fluff, very competitive quote from Paul Boeriu. Paul also took the time to walk through our yard and give us advice about our landscaping/gutter issues that might be a problem up the road. He gave us great direction on a few things that had to be completed before the work was done.Paul and his crew arrived on time, and the work was completed within the time estimate at the cost that was quoted. The crew was courteous and neat.

Description of Work: Had a water issue in my basement and wanted an expert to look at it and provide a quote for work if necessary. First company came out and quoted a $7,000 fix to address my issues, the representative was not extremely knowledgable. Needed a second opinion called Rogers. Paul came to the house on time and reviewed everything with me, didn't see any major issues that couldn't be fixed by making a few changes to the landscaping outside. He addressed all of my questions and walked away without any business. Rogers is a company I would trust to provide a truthful estimate, which I am sure would lead to great work. It is so nice to work with someone who is honest. As a side note I did hire an independent engineer to look at the basement because of varying estimates, and the engineer confirmed that no structural work was necessary to fix things.

Paul is extremely responsive and knowledgable his crew respects him and in turn they answer every question and involve you in the progress of the job. They did the original work and helped me to understand the water flow around my home and when identified some other problem areas that I chose to address. What I can't believe was on a Saturday night my sump pump motor wouldn't stop running and I panicked ready to call an emergency service that quoted me $800 to come out and install. I also called Rogers Basement Waterproofing and Paul actually called me back at 10pm on a Saturday night, educated me on the water table of my home and offered to replace the motor for much less. On Monday morning they performed the service. i can't say how that call from Paul on Sat evening allowed me to relax the rest of the weekend when he took the time to explain that in my circumstance this could be addressed during the workday at a reasonable price. This company really acts like they want your business and you don't feel like you are being taken advantage of, it is a win win for company and consumer.

Description of Work: I have a cement block basement that was very damp and musty. John Rogers did the inspection and quote. He was pleasant and professional and explained everything that was covered in the quote. All questions were answered to my satisfaction The workmen arrived on time, were courteous and professional. They dug a trench inside the basement along the exterior basement walls. The trench was filled with gravel and plastic pipe with holes and connected to a new Zoeller sump pump. They graded the trench so that any water drained into the sump pump. A thin crack was left all the way around the basement floor along the exterior walls to create a "floating floor." This allows any moisture to go into the trench and run to the sump pump. I have a radon reduction system, John Rogers arranged for the Radon company to come back and put a pliable material into the crack to seal the radon out of the basement. That material can be pulled out to allow quick water drainage if the basement is ever flooded. All of the exterior basement walls were coated with a sealant that looked like white paint. Everything was neat and clean when the workmen left. The quote included moving my gas hot water heater to be able to trench along one wall. I had a damp spot in one wall several months after the work was performed. Someone came out to the house within 3 days to look at the problem and fix it. It took two trips to figure out the problem and fix it but it was done quickly, professionally and without additional cost. I have had no dampness since then. I am extremely pleased with the work that was done and would highly recommend Rogers Basement Waterproofing.

Description of Work: I called Rogers Basement Waterproofing Company because I was concerned about my basement walls--some black residue along the lower parts and evidence of water getting into the walls. The owner Paul Boeriu came by at the appointed time and surveyed the basement. He pointed out that the location of the house is causing it to receive water from the homes along the street that are higher in elevation. The east wall was very slightly bowed. We went outside. He immediately noticed that the major problem is the driveway, which needs to be replaced and sloped to drain water away from the house. Caulking was also eroded. Paul felt there was no need for extensive waterproofing or remediation at this time. He recommended the driveway replacement; and boraxo or bleach product to remove the black stains. Paul's honesty and his obvious experience were much appreciated. He also didn't charge me. I'll bet some companies would have sold me a costly waterproofing job. I will certainly call upon Paul if the need arises in the future.

The estimates varied widely in price as well as the "prefessional" opinions of what needed to be done. I feel most gave me relatively honest opinions except for one company that you see and hear marketing for all over the place that tried to sell me alot of stuff I didn't need and quoted me big $$$ with a big greasy smile. No thanks. I found Roger's Basement Waterproofing on Angie's and gave them a call. The owner, Paul, was very patient with me as I had problems making the time to meet him at my home. From the beginning I got the impression that I was getting an honest opinion and straight forward answers to my questions. He was very clear on what needed to be done and what did not need to be done. I had to have what many people need. The basement floor near the wall broken up, weep holes cleared, new pipe put in, and I-Beams along 2 walls. My basement wasn't bad and I wasn't getting much water come in but the walls were progressively getting more of the stair step cracks in the bricks. His crew showed up exactly on time. They got to work immediately. I think it was a 5 man crew. Paul said they'd start at 8:30 am and end around 3. They cleaned up the job and were gone by 3:30. I went down and checked on progress a few times and at no time did I find that anyone was slacking or not working. I had questions during the work that were happily answered by the crew. As far as I can see so far they did exactly what Paul said they would do and the price was in line with other estimates, except one. I would recommend this company if you need work done right.

Description of Work: Bought a house recently and realized the sump pump was not working after a big rain. Called Rogers, and they came out the very next day. Only took them 35 minutes to replace the sump pump. They were quick, clean, and professional.
