These people live up to their guarantee. I had work done by Rodgers Basement Waterproofing 20 years ago. The basement was wet and the basement walls were bowing. While the problem was alleviated, it was never completely corrected. Over the years, the walls continued to bow to the point that one of the angle iron supports was beginning to bow. Also the basement was wetter than ever. I was running two dehumidifiers almost 24 hours a day and the basement was still damp. I checked out two other companies before deciding to call Rodgers back. They did all the work below the cost of the new materials and did more than what we agreed to in the original contract without adding any cost. It has been almost a year since I had the work done and it has remained dry, even during the heaviest of rains. I highly recommend this company
Description of Work: Removed existing drain tile around basement and replaced. Removed existing angle iron wall supports and replaced with I beams. Added second sump pump. Dug down outside of house, found and corrected underground downspout drainage problem.

The process went very smoothly. They showed up on time for the 3 days it took to complete the job and kept me informed as to what they were doing and how it was going. The job was finished on time. They moved everything around in the basement to start the job, but couldn't move it all back in place because the concrete needed to harden. However, they did hook up the washer and dryer for me to use. They cleaned everything up inside and didn't leave any trash or other debris either inside or outside. They did a great job and I'm looking forward to spring rains with a dry basement. The company guarantees their work for the life of the basement. If you sell the house, the guarantee is valid for the new owner. They paid attention to detail; they constructed a special little drain for the humidifier attached to my furnace, which previously had feet and feet of PVC pipe attached to get to the existing drain.
Description of Work: Installed drains around perimeter of basement, installed sump pump, painted walls with waterproof seal paint, re-installed concrete floor over drains, dug out downspouts and ran new drain under sidewalk to street.

After speaking with the gentleman, he asked me several questions and helped me to determine that actually, my sump pump was likely not working properly. Sure enough, that was the problem. I was taken back by how much time he spent with me on the phone to diagnose the problem. I felt like sending him a check just for his time. Job well done!
Description of Work: When water appeared in our basement, I checked the Angie's List site for basement waterproofers. I called three and when I contacted Rogers Basement Waterproofing, they called me back within 10 minutes.

The job went very well. Paul B. did a great job educating me on what I needed and didn't need. I had interviewed several larger companies, but opted to go with this one because the job was done the simplest way, in the least amount of time, at the lowest cost. (And they didn't try to take advantage of a single mom.) The foreman Chris and the crew of seven (7) were polite, respectful and completed the work, as promised, in two days! In addition to the work promised, they also installed, at no additional cost, two window wells, raising the existing wells by 4". Chris did a good 'final walk-through' with me, and they cleaned up the area well. The job is guaranteed for the life of the home, and is transferable to a future owner.
Description of Work: The home is 50 years old. Basement has block walls, and had no sump pump or waterproofing system. I had water coming through one wall and a corner in the basement. The wall was bowed 1-1 1/2" and there were horizontal and step cracks. The downspouts also 'dumped' right into the yard. The estimate was for six (6) steel I-beams, basic sump pump, digging into one long and one short wall to install gravel and pipe, and to dig 3 seep holes per block. Estimate also included taking three (3) downspouts to the road (which required two trenches and three sets of pipe.) The work by their electrician and plumber to move various lines and pipe was also included.

Job went well from start to finish. Paul would call to give a heads up prior to arriving at 8:00 am. Workers were professional and neat. Put up plastic dust shields in basement so dust did not get into the rest of the house. Everything cleaned up spotless at end of job and workmanship impressive.
Description of Work: Basement had bad seepage when it rained. Company came and trenched along inside of wall, installed under the surface drains and replace basement floor. Complete job was 2 days.

The work was done as Mike explained it. The trenches were refilled with gravel, the concrete floor was repaired, and all of the walls of the room were thoresealed. When the carpet was put back in place, the room was as it was before, except it had a brighter and refreshing appearance.
Description of Work: Although there had never been water in the basement, there was moisture in the cement block wall causing flaking or chipping of the paint, especially under the window wells. Mike explained that they could just scrape and paint the walls, but this would not solve the overall problem. His estimate was for turning back the carpet, digging up the cement floor along the wall, open up the weep holes and channel the water to the sump pump pit.

Very satisfied with the work. The crew showed up on time, worked very diligently and left the yard and basement looking very good. He took the time to explain to me what we could and could not expect with an older basement (over 80 years old) made of stone.
Description of Work: They diagnosed the problem with our perennially leaky basement as related to exterior drainage from our downspouts. The dug a trench and removed the old pipe, and laid a new pipe from the house to the street and unclogged the downspouts. That has eliminated 90% of the problem. (Very minor leakage after a heavy rain, as he explained there would always be). Also did cosmetic work inside the basement, scraping badly-chipped walls and repainting. Was told that this would not waterproof the basement but it looks 1000% better. He advised us to buy a dehumidifier to keep the basement looking good.

Description of Work: Came out and gave me some good advice. Such as put dirt on a grade away from the house and fix my drain spouts. Said if this doesn't stop the moisture to call him. So far its working. Other basement waterproofing companies wanted me to spend $16,000 and another $13,000. I appreciate Rogers professionalism.

It was good. Mr Stern was friendly and professional. He offered us an idea about keeping water away from the house. We had to mop the basement floor several times, but there was no dust in the air.
Description of Work: 6 steel beams were installed to shore up the east wall of our basement. The man in charge told my wife (they had cleaned up and left before I got home from work) that if we ever have any problem, it will be fixed. They seem confident of their work.

Very well. They showed up on time and when the job took more than 1 day, they showed up the next day to finish things. They did some very creative problem solving when we ran into some unusual construction techniques in the front porch. The clay tiles were indeed broken and routing the downspouts to the street has taken care of 90% of the water. Paul's next recommendation is to regrade my lot to drain all the water away from the house. My impression was that he is recommending things as if he was spending his own money. My experience has been a lot better than with the other basement waterproofing companies that quoted solving the problem.
Description of Work: My basement walls leaked every time it rained. Paul came out and recommended a step by step approach. His first recommendation was to route the gutters to the street (instead of into the sanitary drain) and see if it made a difference. He suspected that the clay tiles were broken. I had the impression Paul was trying to solve my water problem as opposed to selling me a standard solution that may or may not solve the problem (which is the impression I got from the other companies I talked to).

We joined Angie's List for one reason. We had basement water problems and felt reluctant to use companies with full-page ads in the Yellow Pages or slick TV commercials. We knew we had an expensive problem, but we wanted to fix it right the first time with a reputable contractor without paying for unnecessary additional work. After checking Angie's List, Rogers Basement Waterproofing Co. was head and shoulders above any other basement waterproofing company. The price they quoted us ($5,800) was exactly what we paid (two other contractors quoted us prices in the $10-12k range). They promised to complete their work in one day (hard to believe), and they did. They were courteous, professional, and extremely neat. They did an excellent job and both my wife and I would highly recommend them to others.
Description of Work: Installed hydro-flo network and floating floor. We had clogged lines leading into our sump pump, which caused water to come through the foundation and resulted in mold on one wall and standing water on our basement floor. Two other contractors failed to correctly identify the problem. Finally, Waterworks did a great job finding the problem, checking all of our drain pipes with their camera.

He sent out 2 crews that day, since he didn't have another job for the second crew. They did two days work in one day. They were very clean and cleaned up after themselves. They even sealed the walls with waterproof paint, which I hadn't asked them to do.
Description of Work: They dug around the walls inside the basement, on 3 walls, roughly 48 ft in length. They took up the concrete, laid new drain pipe and put in a new sump pump.

Mike was prompt when he came to give us an estimate and spent a lot of time going over everything with us. We scheduled the work, and the workers arrived on the day and at the time agreed upon. They were professional and thorough. They had to remove a few blocks from a glass block window to remove debris rather than carry it through the house. They replaced the glass blocks, and you would never know they had been removed. This was a noisy and messy job, but they did their best to keep dust and dirt to a minimum. They dug the trench for the discharge lines by hand to avoid damaging our irrigation system and did a nice job of replacing the sod. They explained what they were doing as the job went along and were very friendly and pleasant.
Description of Work: Rogers waterproofed the sub-soil masonry walls in our basement. They installed a hydro-flo network, sump pump, and floating floor. They ran discharge lines for the sump pump and two downspouts from the house to the street. They took down paneling and hauled away all the paneling and debris. They bleached the walls.

Called Rogers Basement Waterproofing and asked for an estimate. Paul Boeriu promptly returned my call and arranged for a time to meet to review basement situation. Paul arrived promptly and took his time with me to explain why I was having basement water problems and recommended solutions. He gave us an estimate and we asked for several days to consider it. In the meantime, we had another quote from another company. Paul followed up with us timely and his estimate was the best. The crew arrived promptly and performed all of the tasks we had agreed upon. They did an excellent job. They also cleaned up after the work and left the house spotless. I would hire them again. I am very pleased with the results.

Roger's Basement did an excellent job. The crew of about 8 men showed up just as scheduled and completed the work in two days. We had trouble with our battery backup and they immediately responded, replacing the battery with a new one. We had considered working with Roger's Basement and a smaller company. We're glad that we chose Roger's Basement, given that the large crew completed the work in a short time. Since this company installed our sump pump, we've had no more water in our basement.

The house was unoccupied so work went quickly, and was completed in 3 days. No problems encountered and (so far) the drainage system seems to be effective.
Description of Work: In an older German Village house, we had water coming up through the cracks in the basement floor after heavy rains. Rogers dug out a channel around the perimeter of the basement (approx 13 x 34 feet) and installed drainage pipe to collect sub-surface water and route it to a sump pump (also installed). Job included digging out a small well in a corner of the basement for the sump pump.

We had dampness in our basement, and Paul from Roger's Basement Waterproofing came to our house to take a look at it. He was extremely honest and told us that the problem was not in our basement but in our gutters. We were very impressed with his honesty and professionalism--because, of course, we know nothing about basements and a dishonest salesperson could have told us we needed expensive basement repair. We will definitely call them if we ever really do need basement work.

This was a great experience. I was dreading the cost of other places Paul gave me an explanation of the work they would do and quoted me a fair price. Well under other estimates. The stuck to the quote and did a fantastic job going above and beyond what I expected of them.
Description of Work: Connected 2 down spout & sump pump drain pipe and ran them to the street. Help to raise the grade at the edge of the house with the extra soil from digging the lines to the street. Cleaned up the job site. 2 places they had to break up the concrete side walk.
