Paul responded to my call the same day and came the following day to give me an estimate. He prepared me for what to expect and met all of my expectations. I appreciated the idea that all of his workers were his own employees, not subcontracted. I was promised that they would be working on my property alone on the days of service. I was told the work would be completed within two days and we scheduled the work. Paul called back a couple weeks in advance of the job to ask if I had any questions and then made a follow up call the night before to let me know their arrival time. They showed up as expected and Paul introduced me to the project leader. He, along with the crew, were extremely professional. They finished on time (to the hour!) and met my expectations. The day after the project was complete I heard water rushing in the basement and went down to find a hose was left unattended to and I called Paul. He returned my call promptly and dealt with it immediately (on a HOLIDAY) to take care of the situation. I was very impressed with the professionalism, the desire to please and the kindness of Paul. I would recommend Rogers for any Basement Waterproofing work.
Description of Work: My basement was always damp and has cracks in the floors that water was seeping up through. In addition, my wall was bowing out on the east side. I wanted a least expensive method of treatment due to the fact I'm planning to move in a year. Paul informed me they would be placing 8 I-beams along the east wall, digging a trench around the inside of the basement and drilling weep holes into the concrete walls. They would also install a sump-pump. I was told they would insert new drain pipes and then pour cement to seal the flooring over the new pipes. I asked if the cracks in the floor would be fixed and he said that it would be an additional expense that would not be necessary due to the waterproofing and weep holes. I asked about the walls being repainted and he said they could; however, it would be an additional expense and gave me paint product recommendations to buy from the store so I could paint myself and save money. On the 2nd day Paul informed me they would be installing a new downspout to my curb, which made me nervous, thinking this was unexpected, there would be an additional fee, and it would tear up my yard, but Paul said there was no additional fee, it would not tear up my yard, and that they just wanted to make sure I didn't have any complications after the work had been completed, so they did that extra service free of charge (and it is not noticeable at all!)

I called the company and arranged a consultation about my problem regarding water and dampness in my basement. Paul Boeriu arrived at the appointed time and asked about my problem, and what I wanted to accomplish with my basement. He inspected my basement and all the ground area around my house, including my house in relationship to my next door neighbors. He checked gutters and downspouts to see if they were draining rain water away from my house foundation. He asked questions as he went along and gave me a chance to ask questions, too. When he finished his inspection, he told me what he suggested to solve my problem. He explained what preparations I needed to make in order for his crew to be able to do the job. We agreed on a plan and set a date to do the job. Paul called me a few days before the job date to see if I was prepared for their arrival. The job was set for two days. He arrived with his job crew on the first day, and explained to the supervisor what he wanted while walking the supervisor through my basement. The supervisor also had the floor plan drawing of the basement plan. They partitioned off, with plastic sheeting, the items left in my basement to avoid damage. They used a window through which they removed and replaced concrete and other materials to do the job. The supervisor advised that for a period of time I would experience a lot of noise in removing some of the concrete floor. The whole crew worked together very efficiently, and completed a big job in two days. They did a terrific job, cleaned up well after themselves, and were very professional in all behavior. Paul came back during the work to see how things were going, and told me to call him if I had any questions during the process of the work. When all was finished, the supervisor went through the basement with me and answered all my questions. A day later, Paul called to see if I was satisfied with the work. I don't see how anyone could go wrong using this company.

He came with this big notebook and he was telling me how much it was going to be and then he showed me a notebook of people who had used me but I didn't even need to see it because I got his name off of Angie's List. He is very professional and he is excellent. He's not one of those who gives you an estimate and then you never see him again. When we were discussing how the water leaked in, he commented that my gutters needed cleaning. In addition to fixing the basement he is going to ditch the roof water out to an alley behind the house. He gave me a really excellent price on the whole thing.
Description of Work: I have a wall that is sagging and he is going to support that wall so that I don't have a major problem later on.

The owner came out to get crew started. He takes in pride in what they do but also in how they do it. To me a good job means the work is done well and I don't have to do ANY cleanup after the crew leaves. Some crews make a mess on floors going inside/outside, leave cig butts in driveway, leave driveway muddy or debris in my trash cans but not the guys from Rogers. I literally have NO clean up after they leave. I am pleased with how the walls look and things seem to be holding up well after all of the rain this spring. They checked gutters and downspouts for me too and put dye in the yard drains to make sure they were draining to the road. I put this off for so long because of the reputation of basement repair companies and fears of a $20K estimate. It has been a very positive experience and I feel like I've found a company I will confidently call again if I have any further problems.

I had an outstanding experience. The owner was extremely responsive and professional. They sent a large crew with seven trucks. They dug three trenches. When the job was done, you could not even tell anything had been dug up. He gave me helpful suggestions to keep water away from my house. They were incredible and I cannot say enough good things abut them!

Extremely good. Company was responsive for the estimate, the lowest price of three companies, and were able to schedule the work within a week of the estimate. Crew was professional, courteous, and clean. They completed the entire job in less than a full day, and the crew chief explained what they would be doing before they started, mid-way through the job, and after everything was completed. Their service is as promised during the estimate. And, they did not try to sell me more than I needed. I rarely choose the lowest price supplier or contractor knowing that best price often isn't the best value. But not in this case. All three estimates were from Angie's List A-rated companies. I searched for a reason that I shouldn't use Rogers (the lowest price) and could not find a single one. In fact, I went back through several years of customer reports and this was the only company of the three that did not have a single bad report. Impressive!

Excellent. This company was the most forthright and had the best offer. They completed the job within a day as promised, were very professional and left the place very clean. Project manager was thorough in explaining the start of the job and midway as well as at the end. I normally am suspect of the lowest price offer aware that lowest price isn't always the best value, but in this case I could not find a reason not to go with Rogers, especially after reading years of positive reports.

Incredibly easy. Mike initially said we may need a sump pump installed but recommended we start with the drain lines and that just doing that might take care of our wet basement issue. Either way, the drain lines would have to be done if we had to have a sump pump. The guys came out and took around 4 hours to dig the trenches using shovels! They then laid the lines and connected everything. They replaced the grass and it looked like nobody was ever there!! It was great. The next day we had a heavy rain and to my excitement, there was no water in the basement. We've had additional rainfalls since then and still no issues. I am so thrilled. Thanks you Rogers and Mike!
Description of Work: New PVC drain lines were installed from the gutters/downspouts to the street. The ground was dug by hand vs. using machinery. Also, was able to dig the trench under the sidewalk so the sidewalk did not have to be dug up. They installed over 200' of line connecting 4 downspouts.

This company is first-rate! Paul and the foreman Chris were professional and concerned about doing the best job possible. They worked quickly over two days, cleaning and removing debris as they worked, leaving me with a clean and dry basement. I chose this company because of the uniformly positive comments from other Angie's List customers and I feel confident that this was a good idea. Paul showed me his customer list in my neighborhood, which gave me additional confidence that this company was well-regarded and would do an excellent job. The crew even raked the grass around the house to make sure they left no trace of the exterior work that had been done. And the job carries a lifetime guarantee!
Description of Work: Rogers Basement Waterproofing dug trenches along the inside perimeter of my house, laid pipes, and installed a sump pump. The crew tested the exterior downspouts, fixed some broken lines and other exterior work, and painted interior walls with a sealing compound.

I would definitely use them again for work in the future work. I would recommend them to others.

Paul Boeriu arranged to have the i-beams painted even though it was not included in the contract.

Description of Work: Honesty and integrity are alive. Paul Boeriu arrived at our home at the scheduled time to inspect our basement. Because the work would cost thousands of dollars (we could have done all or 1/2 of the perimeter of the basement) we chose to try some of the solutions he suggested. If and when we do drains we will not hesitate to use Rogers.
Description of Work: I called Rogers after we had water collecting in the basement. The Rep came to the house. He suggested drains and a sump pump. He also gave advice for work we could do ourselves with downspouts and removing a free-standing fireplace, whose outdoor chimney well was acting as a funnel putting water in the basement.

Paul and his crew did a phenomenal job, well worth every dime. They came out in a timely manner, provided an accurate estimate, and was able to begin the work the following week. They completed the job within a week. They obtained all permits for the city of Bexley. They trenched along the interior walls of the basement, installed piping, and re-cemented. They installed a sump pump and corrected a drainage problem on the outside, routing all lines to the street. Their attention to detail was amazing. I had an area in my furnace room that had raised up sections of cement. It was not part of the job, however they cleaned it up and matched it to the floor. They did some damage to outside bushes, however, they were working in the snow and ice.

Paul and his crew of six men arrived on time at 8:30 a.m. on Monday to begin the work and had the job completed by 3:00 p.m. on the same day. The crew laid down plastic drop cloth through the house where the workers had to walk as well as in the work area to contain any dust or debris. The workers were all professional, polite and completed the project without a mess. Rogers removed all concrete and dirt debris from the premises and left the basement area neat and clean. Over all, the work was very well done.
Description of Work: Removed approximately 1' wide x 19' long section of concrete floor along basement interior wall using a jack hammer then installed hydro-flow drain tile along footer, covered with gravel and then concrete. Weep holes were drilled in each cavity of each of the bottom foundation blocks along the wall. The newly installed drain tile was then tied into an existing drain so a sump pump would not be required. The interior basement wall was then sealed with a coat of Thermoseal. Water was leaking into our basement in an area along the west wall (19 ft.) of our furnace room. Water would seep in along the floor even when it rained a small amount. Paul, the owner, inspected the site and proposed a solution which we liked because an existing drain could be used. This would save us money from not having to buy a sump pump as quoted by others. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and was able to work us into his schedule for the following week.

No work was done, but the experience with Rogers was pleasant and informative. I would definitely call them if I ever needed work done.
Description of Work: Paul came out to give an estimate for my cracked and slightly bowed basement wall. He said it did not require any work and may not for many years. He gave me several great recommendations watch it for increased bowing and also how to prevent increased bowing, ie: changing the slope of the ground along that side of the house and to slightly modify the above gutter. All I have to say is that what a pleasant experience it was dealing with Paul and seeing that a basement company can be honest and have loads of integrity. This comes after having a horrible experience months earlier with EverDry Waterproofing. EverDry initially quoted me $30,000 to "fix" my basement telling my house had a "cancer." When I laughed at him, he continued to lower the estimate with his final offer at around $7,000! That final offer was a one time only deal. All I have to say is that EverDry used high pressure scare tactics to try to get me to sign. Thank God I was not swayed.
