Rogers Basement Waterproofing

One of the owners came to the house to provide an estimate and explain the process. He provided an estimate, less the discount for Angie's List customers. I reviewed other bids and chose Rogers. They scheduled the service promptly and completed the service within six hours. At the beginning of the project, they also saw a downspout drain going into the ground that showed some problems. They indicated that they would fix this free of charge since water going down the outside of the basement walls is not good.

I have a 20 year old production builder home. Over the years, the rain water run off system had pretty much stopped working and slight moisture was building up on the cinder block in the basement. The fittings connecting the run off lines to the downspouts had also taken a beating and most where no longer directly functional. A couple years ago I called Paul at Rogers and he gave me some free advice on possible solutions that wouldn't involve a great deal of expense. These solutions did have some effect on the moisture problem but ultimately I still needed to replace those lines. When Paul did come to the house, he diagnosed the issue quickly and gave me a fair quote to complete the work. I won't say a got a great deal because it was a lot of money for basically half a day's work but I can't complain with the results and Paul has put his word behind the work. Paul's foreman Chris and his crew did a masterful job and I believe went above and beyond. Instead of the plain PVC couplers to the downspouts, they provided clean-out connections that are easily accessible for checking the run off lines as well as flushing them out in case of a clog. They also jack hammered through the sidewalk to lay the new lines to the street and then repaved when it might have been just as easy to go under the sidewalk. Rogers isn't the most polished company you'll find. They don't have slick handouts or glossy business cards. But their people know basement waterproofing and the work is top notch.

Very professional job. Work was done on time and for the price estimated. We recieved a $50.00 discount coupon in the Angies's List mailer after the work was done and the company refunded the money to us after we had already paid.

On Tuesday 7/6 we made an appointment to get an estimate on 7/8, and Paul called this morning to confirm, arriving right on time. He looked carefully at the basement walls, and confirmed that they were bowing slightly in places, but that it was not something that needed to be remedied immediately. He commented that some building inspectors would find the amount of bowing acceptable, and others unacceptable. He also commented that because of the age of the house, it's difficult to determine whether the spots in the foundation were ever straight. He said the i-beam remedy was simple, and if we needed it to call back. For the water leakage, he took us outside and gave us a quick tutorial for the causes, including improperly hung gutters, insufficient grading of soil along the foundation, and a deteriorating driveway. He suggested remedies and told us that it the leaking continues after these remedies that we should call him back. We can't express enough gratitude that Paul did not try to "sell" us unnecessary services. His candor and integrity are much appreciated. If we ever do need any basement work, Rogers Basement will be the first call we make.

Crew of six worked excellently. They knew what they were doing and each of them did their jobs well. Were here at 8 am and finished all work by 1 pm and left. They cleaned up all areas.

My experience with Roger's Basement and Paul, the owner, was good from beginning to end. I read all of the reports about his company on Angie's List and liked what I read so I called him for an estimate. In our initial conversation, I got the impression that he was an honest man who took pride in doing a good job. When he came out to the house to give me an estimate, he knew I was trying to get the house ready to sell and had already spent a great deal of money on renovations, so he gave me some options to do part of the work myself before having him come back in order to save money. In the end, I hired him to take care of everything. He called me twice before the work was done. The first time to make sure I had removed the wall where they would be working and the second time the day before the work was to begin to confirm the time. I like this kind of attention to a job. Paul and his crew of seven arrived right on time and he showed them what needed to be done, and talked with me a bit more about what to expect and how long it would take to get the job done, and then he left. The young men in his crew were all extremely polite and nice and were willing to talk with me if I had any questions or concerns. They also had very nice things to say about Paul, which I think is a sign of well run, and good company. They finished ahead of schedule and the crew boss showed me everything they had done and asked me if I had any questions. They cleaned up any mess they made doing the job (and believe me, digging up concrete in a basement, makes a mess!). The entire experience was a pleasant one and I would recommend this company to anyone.

Have had basement leak for some time. Had one other contractor come and take a look, and he suggested some work on the outside that sounded complicated and disruptive. Called Rogers, and Paul came to look at problem and recommended straightforward fix from the inside. On day work was performed, Paul came with two-person crew to start them off. They completed the effort in less than 3 hours. Work was done efficiently and professionally, and is guananteed.

Rogers gave the lowest bid, which included installing support beams that were not included in their competitor's estimate. A third bidder never sent a final estimate. Everything was done on schedule. Workers were professional and protected everthing with plastic immediately upon arrival. The job was completed to our satisfaction and completed in one day by six workers. The crew were obviously cross-trained, each being able to do the other's job and do it properly. They did a good job of cleaning up both inside and outside. They assured that everthing was draing correctly.

They did a great job. You have to look pretty close at the yard to even see where they dug. Good job on the sidewalk/curb aspects of the job also. They showed up on time, with a large crew and had the job done in 1/2 day. They were not cheap but I'd have no problems recommending them to others.

The experience was great. After a full review of my basement Paul provided me with a full and fair quote of the work that I needed. He had an opening for later that week and was able to get a lot done in less than a day. Paul was fair in his quote and was there the morning to get his crew off to the agreed upon work. Chris, the job foreman was more than helpful answering questions and explaining the process. The entire crew was clean, courteous and professional. They left my basement in better condition then when they arrived. To say I am pleased with the work would be an understatement. I am currently getting my basement finished and I know I do not have to worry about water entering from the work that Rogers has done.

It was a great experiece. Paul was right on on waht needed to be done and he did what he said and more than he said.I got one quote that was more than twice as much as what I got it done for. I feel I could not of had a better job than what Rogers did.

Exceptionlly well, very professional, did everything as estimated in a most timely manner with minimun disruption . workers were very easy to work with, they recommended that an electrical problem with sump pump be done. This was not in their contract. Would highly recomment them. Probably could have gotten it done cheaper, but not the same quality.

It was a very positive experience. They gave me an accurate estimate and described what they would be doing in terms that I could understand. They came when they said they would, and did the work within the time frame that I was given. Both the person in charge - Mr. Paul Boeriu - and his team were very professional, easy to work with and took wonderful care of my quirky old house and the surrounding landscaping during the entire process.

It was excellent. The representative came one daya nd was out to do the work the next. They were pretty fast.

I received great advice and tips on how to correct the problem. Very pleased that I could do the work and solve the problem. Very professional and arrived on time.

They were okay. I did not have any problems. I was just trying to understand what was wrong with the water. We discussed how to fix the drain problems. He had to come into the house. I did not have any water problems in the basement. The drain problem started in April and was fixed in August. It was totally unrelated to where the leak was.

I cannot remember working with a more professional team. The end result works. Customer satisfaction is their priority. They are experienced and a dream to work with. I will re-visit the project in the spring and I will have Rogers Basement come back for the next phase.

I talked to someone else and I didn't feel he had the experience and he didn't seem to know where some of the water was coming from. I have two separate foundations and water was draining into an ash pit between them. I knew where the water was coming from because of talking to a previous out of work building contractor who explained how basements were built. I asked Rogers about the water and he said that it was ground water. I thought that at last I had a contractor that knew a little about geology. He had a set of pictures of exactly what they would do. They did a lot of heavy moving. They did a fantastic job. They put a double crew on it and got done in only two days. The price was excellent and the job was superior. He was very thorough in explaining everything and they draped my stairwell to prevent dust. They were able to bring everything in through the basement windows because I have oversized windows. I felt their price was where it belonged. They were tops and very easy to deal with. I felt they really knew what they were doing. The price was exactly what the quote was.

After receiving an estimate from another company for over double the price I checked Angie's List for a reputable company to install a new drain from my gutters through my front yard and out to the street. Paul did an excellent job with the estimate, though he is very relaxed. Do not mistake this for unprofessionalism. I get the impression he has just seen and done it all. He gave me an oral estimate that was about 60% less than another estimate I received, and although it was not the lowest estimate he did respond with the estimate in a timely manner. Two guys came out to our house and completed the work in about three hours. I was told by the other company that it would be a two day job and that they would half to remove a tree and redo part of our sidewalk, neither of which were necessary from Rogers. Except for the slightly dead grass where they dug it is hard to tell they were even there. Excellent work and awesome price!

Work was performed in a single day with a full crew. The drain pipe was installed by digging the lines by hand, which caused the least amout of damage to the lawn. The sod was removed, placed back, and watered.

He inspected the area, diagnosed the problem and told me how to fix it myself. When I asked if I could pay him for his time, he politely told me that there was no charge, and that he was happy to help. He even called me back later to recommend a good sealant for the damp spot in the basement. I would definitely call him again.

Roger's Basement came out and gave a consultation because I thought that I needed their services. They came out and advised me that all I needed was a plumber. Mike was great, he gave me a referral for a plumber that is doing the work. He was very helpful and professional.

We had been experiencing rainwater seepage through two of the walls in our basement. After trying some of the do-it-yourself waterproofing products and finding that there was still leakage, we called three companies, including Rogers Basement Waterproofing, for estimates. Paul gave us an appraisal of the problem and an exact written estimate of the total cost. We had two other estimates but those included work that really didn't need to be done. One estimate which included all kinds of unnecessary bells and whistles was actually over $30,000. Paul's expertise allowed the perfect solution with minimal cost. His crew arrived within a week of the estimate and completed the job in less than one full day. They were very professional and careful to lay plastic over the floor and steps leading to the basement. The hauling out of the old cement and debris was accomplished through a small basement window so dust in the house was not a problem at all. Paul advised that we needed to do minimal adjustment to the slope of our brick patio to curb water drainage toward the basement. We were impressed with crew's efficiency and friendliness.
