Rogers Basement Waterproofing

He was excellent and very honest. I had previous people check it out, and one person said that we needed a whole basement for over $5000. He was honest and told me that we did not need all the work done. He just fixed a few things.

Even though they didn't come out, it's basically advice just by going over the phone, we appreciated the time and importance. It was really just kinda upfront openness and honesty about helping me to understand the priorities and not trying to sell me anything.

I love them. The guy that is in charge, Paul, and I get along great. Their men come in, they do it quick and then they will be on their way. And it is a good job, it isn't half way. We had used them before several years ago when we had some water in the basement so that is why I called them again. They do a good job. He says he has over 4000 customers and you don't get that if you don't treat people right. If anybody asks me, if it has anything to do with the basement, I tell them to call Rogers Basement Waterproofing. He'll tell you when he is going to come. He'll call you a day before to tell you he's coming. The next day you look out about 8:30 and here will come an army of trucks. I think this last time there was like 4 trucks. They had the steel beams, they had the equipment to dump the cement they had to take out to put the steel beams in, and everything was done in a very orderly manner and a very neat manner. They cleaned everything up. When we had them before they had to tear out all of the basement walls, drill out the block, put in gravel and pipe and everything. We haven't hadn't had any water in the basement ever since and that is lifetime guarantee.

Mike from Rogers Basement Waterproofing came out this morning to look at our basement. He told us that so long as we made sure our sump pump was working properly, there was nothing we NEEDED to do to get our basement ready for finishing. He said that if we wanted extra peace of mind we might have a plumber install a second sump pump with battery backup in a particular area of the basement, but noted that a plumber could do it for half his price and that it wouldn't be worth our time or money to have a company like his do additional work. I so appreciate honesty in a provider and if we ever do require basement waterproofing, this will be the first company we call.

They responded promptly and performed the work neatly, cleaning up well after their work and being careful to not soil the areas they had to traverse.

Paul (the owner of Roger's Basement) was wonderful. He explained the inspection and found that my outside gutters needed to be dug up and re-piped to the street as there was a leak underground and the drainage from the gutters was getting into the sump pump. This was very helpful. I am debating on when to have this work performed or attempt it ourselves. Paul was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained everything and clearly laid out my options.

Gave us an estimate and told us that, although it needed to be done eventually, we could wait awhile. Very honest. Didn't try to sell us something that we could do a little later.

John came and pointed out that down spouts and gutter toppers were the biggest contributors to the problem. He recommended that I take care of these first. I have had other companies that have come out and quoted me over $10,000; none of them ever said anything about the down spouts or gutter toppers. My water problem seems to only happen in the spring so I'll have to wait to see if these fixes actually did the trick, but so far, I haven't had any water in the basement! I VERY much appreciate this company's honesty and integrity - not many of us have an extra $10,000 laying around! If I do need any further work in the basement, I will only use this company!

I purchased a $49.00 "Big Deal" through Angie's List for a professional assessment of my basement. I'd read prior reviews for Roger's Basement Waterproofing and liked the comments indicating that the owner, Paul, would give an honest appraisal without trying to sell you expensive work or services. Paul showed up on time, and he checked out the basement and landscaping outside. He said that my situation, compared to other homes he's checked out, barely warrants any kind of action, however, to prevent the seepage that sometimes occurs during heavy thunderstorms, I should provide better positive drainage away from the foundation. I thanked him for his assessment, and, as he was leaving, I mentioned that I felt his consultation with me was worth the money. He was surprised and asked if I'd paid for his review, and I told him I'd purchased a "Big Deal" through Angie's List. That's when I got a rather big shock regarding Angie's List itself. He explained that he received no compensation from Angie's List; all of the money went to them. He told me that if I'd have called him, he would have come out and done his assessment at no charge. So, essentially, he got stuck with all the work while Angie's List collected a fee. How is that fair? To say that I was flabbergasted by this one-sided arrangement is an understatement. I figured, at the very least, the company doing the work would receive the majority of the cost of the "Big Deal" while Angie's might receive a small percentage. But Angie's List getting all of the money just doesn't seem right. This makes me now question what Angie's List is all about. I always figured Angie was on the consumer's/member's side, but by learning about this, it makes me feel that, perhaps, Angie's not the stand-up organization I once thought it was. I also now wonder about any Big Deal that's offered and what kind of set-up there is regarding the costs involved. It sure seems like Angie's List has earned a place in the "Penalty Box" for this one...

Thank YOU, Paul. After a flurry of questions and answers, Paul assured me that my problem was really not a problem. He gave me helpful hints on what I can easily do to remedy my concerns. Let it rain! I was so worried when I first called but Paul's calming voice and gentle spirit put me at ease. He told me if I noticed any other issues to give him a call. Most assuredly, I will. I only wish every provider had his attitude and integrity!

He was very professional and knowledgable. Inspection was done inside and out were the water problem in my basement was. He brought up things the other inspections missed and told me how to correct the problem myself. Would highly recommend Rogers Basement Waterproofing.

Paul came to my mother in laws condo over concerns that were brought up by an inspector on the possible sale of the property.He walked the inside and outside told me there were no problems like the inspector said there were confirmed the basement was solid and dry and charged me nothing for his time or trouble. I would not hesitate to call him first if I ever need basement work in the future.He was very nice and very professional.

The service was great. Mike and Jason and the rest of the crew were very friendly and explained everything to me about what they were doing and what I was to expect when they were finished. Once they completed the job, you couldn't even tell they were here as far as the clean-up. They were a great bunch of guys/workers. I would highly recommend them for any basement issues and if I am to have any further issues with any other part of my basement I will be sure to hire them to come back. They are very reasonable with the cost of the job that needs done. They were on time and Mike was excellent to work with as far as contacting and setting up the date and time of the work. I just can't say enough about this company. They definitely know what they are doing.

He gave me an idea of what needed to be repaired in the house. He was pretty knowledgeable. He was courteous and nice. Showed me a solution to a wet basement problem. I was not in a position to utilize the service as my landlord was wanting me to leave. He was prompt. I tried to get my landlord to address the issue and he hasn't. I hoped I would not have to pay for his proposal since I did not use his services.

Great. I have some small amount of water on the floor and damp spots on walls. Paul said it was not that bad but if I did want to do water proofing it would improve the situation. He explained the french drain that is currently in basement and that it is doing an adequate job. He explained their waterproofing system and the price, but said I did not really need to do anything at this time.

Said I would have to take my decking up in order for him to look at the issue however he never came to the house to make that determination he made that determination over the phone. When I asked about a refund he said he didn't get paid for the service I paid for and I would not get my money back.

Paul is a wonderful professional. He put my mind at ease about the basement walls. Gave us good advice and told us to just watch the areas of concern and give him a call anytime. Rogers did not perform any waterproofing service; but if needed in the future, I will definitely call Paul!

From the beginning Paul was great! He answered all my questions and was very knowledgable. He and his team were professional, friendly and hard working! I just can't say enough good things about the whole experience. They had great communication from the initial walk through to the very end of the project. I was kept informed of the progress and they even took the time to show me the old pipes and why we were having problems. The team took pride in their work and even the clean up was great. It's often hard to find good people who do quality work, but Rogers basement waterproofing gets two thumbs up and my recommendation for anybody who has problems with their basement leaking!

Rogers Basement Waterproofing did a fantastic job on our basement. My husband had all of the conversations with Paul and met the team when they arrived to do the project. All were extremely professional in appearance and attitude and were just great to deal with overall. I was not present during the work, but I was AMAZED when I got home on the first day at how they left such a major project (carrying chunks of cement up and down our stairs) in such a neat and tidy state. I was extremely pleased with the service, The owner Paul came by and told me my basement was in pretty good condition no work needed to be done. He provided very insightful information and instructions for keeping water out of my basement myself. Very professional would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

Paul from Rogers basement arrived at the scheduled time to assess our basement and provide a quoate. He was very courteous and professional. He did a walkthrough of the basement and recommended we contact a structural engineer to assess bowing in the walls. He gave us a quote after the assessment with no high pressure sale pitch. Rogers had the lowest quote of 4 A-rated companies on Angie's list. After consulting with an engineer we decided to have the beams installed. Paul was able to get the job done within a week of giving us a quote. Paul was accommodated a last minute decision to have the walls reinforced with steel beams. The crew arrived on time and finished the job in two days. They did a good job cleaning up after the job was done. Paul contacted me after the job was complete to see if we had any questions. Overall very pleased with the outcome.

When Mr. Sterns came to give us the estimate, he was so personable and knowledgeable. He immediately knew exactly what needed to be done. ( Incidentally, we had paid $500 for a professional engineer's report, and Mr. Sterns' solution was exactly what the engineer suggested!) Other companies had tried to sell us an extra $8000 of basement tile work besides the steel beams. On the appointed day, the workers arrived promptly and got to work on the various projects. They were so nice and were such hard workers. They also treated our home with respect. By the afternoon of the second day, the job was completed, and everything was cleaned up. I couldn't even tell that the men had dug a trench across our front yard to the sewer. We now have a dry basement that will pass any home inspection in the future.

Paul was very responsive and customer oriented. Even though he quickly determined that the problem was not a basement waterproofing issue and, therefore not something his company could fix, he spent 30 minutes looking at the interior and exterior of the house to try to give me ideas on how to approach solving the problem. I was very impressed that was trying to help even though he knew hr was not going to get any business. I wouldn't hestitate to recommned Rogers to anyone with basement waterproofing needs.
