Rogers Basement Waterproofing

My experience with Paul and his crew was EXCELLENT. I'm not an expert, but the quality of the work looks good. It looks neat and tidy. They were in and out for the original job in one day. I had installed new carpet in my basement just before the original job (in another area of the basement) and a small section of it got wet from the crew's work .Paul immediately offered to pay to have it dried out or replaced. I refused, and told him that I would try to dry it out myself and clean it and would call him back if that did not work. It ended up needing to be replaced, but I'm not going to trouble them with the cost at all because... ...a couple days after the original work (last night), the line on my sump pump came loose and water was spraying everywhere. I of course freaked out and blamed Paul and his team for it since they were working around the pump. I realize now that there is an equally good chance that it came loose on its own or some other way... but regardless, Paul sent his crew back over first thing the next morning (today) to replace the line AND the pump for FREE--neither of which they had originally installed--just to make sure I was happy. I think part of good customer service is being a good customer-- and I think I was out of line in the way I handled my upset, and Paul helped me out regardless, in a manner that was above and beyond expectation. Bottom line--quality work, trustworthy and cheerful crew, continued customer service, even after the bill was paid, and Paul sticking by me to make sure I'm happy. I wouldn't ever recommend or call anyone else.

This company is awesome, first of all , and most importantly he was half the price quoted to me by other vendors. Checked all the other walls and assured me that they were fine. His crew is awesome, as he is. They even patched cracks in my wall which they didn't have to do. Very friendly, he gave me great advice on other projects in the basement. I highly recommend this company

Crew of 8. Showed up from 8am-12 and came back the next day and was fully complete and cleaned up by 1pm. Foremen was there both days making sure the work was done well. The crew knew exactly what they were doing. Was worth every penny

Least professional of all 4 estimates we've received. Most costly, received no documentation on the estimate, and Paul spent more time telling my husband what he wouldn't do (and the labor my husband would have to do himself) than what he WOULD do.

We contacted Rogers because our basement had water surging through the floor and carpeting after the last big snow melt. We had no idea what was wrong and had horrible visions of our basement and pipes having to be completely dug up. We were told by the company that they were heavily booked but that they would come out the following week. Based on the great Angie's List reviews, we decided to wait out the week. Paul Rogers called us on the date he said he would (Tuesday, March 24th) and advised he could come over right away. Paul was very kind and professional. He checked out the sump pump and found out that a wire had fallen onto the float preventing the float from coming up. He also felt that there was a leak so he carefully checked for that. Paul fixed both problems and did not charge us a penny!! He said we did not need a new sump pump at this time and it should last us awhile. We were so afraid of what the cost might be and what might be involved that it was a huge relief when the problems proved to be minor and he charged us nothing to fix them. Paul is to be highly commended for his honesty and consideration for potential customers. For sure if we have any other problems with our sump pump or basement, we will definitely hire Rogers for the job! Thank you very much, Paul!

I called Roger's Basement Waterproofing on 16 Mar about a recurring problem with water pooling in my basement after extremely heavy rains. Paul Boeriu came to my house the next day (17 Mar) and examined areas inside and outside to establish the cause of the water problem. Paul quickly determined that the most likely cause of the problem was an old drain in the center of the basement that was allowing rain water to back up. He also thought that the basement water problem was worsened by an inadequate drainage slope around the outside of the house. I agreed to the work and Paul promised to perform the work that same week on 20 Mar. On 20 Mar, Paul and his crew arrived exactly on time and immediately began work. They first laid plastic on my floors and the stairs to the basement. Half the crew then began work in the basement digging out the trench, installing a french drain, filling in the trench with gravel, and finally cementing over the trench. They then replaced my 12-year old sump pump with a new one. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew worked outside to repair two downspouts and install cleanouts, checked all drainage lines to the street, and finally added soil all around the foundation of the affected side of the house to cause water to flow away from the house. The entire job was finished and the area cleaned up in slightly more than four hours. It was a pleasure to work with this company. Paul was very forthright in discussing possible causes of the water problem. He described both the worst possible case which would entail completely digging out around the perimeter of the basement and his suggested lesser fix that he thought would probably eliminate the problem. Paul and all of his workers were extremely professional and courteous. They explained every step and discussed options with me. They worked quickly and finished in half the expected time. They were also kind enough to carry up a dehumidifier and wet/dry vac from the basement for me. Although I won't know for certain how well this fix works until we have another severe rain storm, I'm very optimistic about this and feel certain that I could call Paul back for any future problems.

Paul was able to squeeze in an appointment on short notice and within 15 minutes was able to give us advice on how to proceed with keeping our basement dry. Very nice and professional person and he didn't even charge me for the consult. I really appreciate the time and advice he gave us!

Mike from Rogers came out to inspect our basement after another company told me I needed a $20,000 repair. He was very courteous, polite and professional and sat and talked with me for a while. When it came to inspect my basement, he told me I didn't need any work done and that everything I saw is normal. Imagine my shock! A company selling services telling you that you done need their service. If I do need work done in the future, I will call them!

Paul came out to assess our basement water issues and give us an estimate on waterproofing. Instead, he ended up diagnosing our problem and telling us how to fix it ourselves. He left without trying to sell us anything! I've never met a more honest salesman in my life! I will have no hesitation hiring this company in the future, if we should need their services.

Everything was excellent. He was very prompt. Very fair price. He did not try to upsell, very honest.

They were exceptional. They came on time, brought a full crew as promised and finished the job in one day. They covered floors and our piled up things stored in the basement and cleaned up as though it were their own home. Nice workers, great job. Would not hesitate to recommend or use again.

Rogers Basement Waterproofing did a great job and was a pleasure to work with. Paul met with us several times to explain the causes of our basement leakage issues in our 1920?s house and answered our many questions. Rogers wasn?t the least expensive of the alternatives, but we felt then, and now, that they provide the best value. Their large team came in all at once and performed the substantial job in just two days, as proposed. We had one issue (a re-routed drain pipe from the furnace leaked) and a team member returned the day I contacted them and fixed the problem. Once we re-paint the walls and floor, other than the added sump pump, the waterproofing system will basically be invisible. We now have the peace of mind of a permanent solution and a transferable lifetime guarantee to benefit resale.

My impression started when Paul (owner) came to quote the job. He's very professional and personable and takes quality very seriously. I knew right away I could trust him to do the job right. A few days later a crew of 8 (very nice) guys came and did all the work in about 6 hours. Considering the nature of the job, I expected a complete mess. They had to drill and remove the basement floor along the back wall, cover the area in rock and then seal with cement. That's a lot of going up and down stairs - in and out of the house! They were extremely conscientious of my home and cleaned up everything. They did a great job and explained everything I asked. Afterwards, Paul called to make sure everything met my expectations. If you want quality and a company with professionalism and experience, I would definitely recommend Rogers. Remember: you get what you pay for! Thanks Paul and Guys!!!

I think the workers all did a good job. They were respectful. The price was fair. The owner was easy to deal with. It was expensive but they were cheaper than other places. I haven't had any issues.

I was very impressed with this company?s performance from start to finish. They accomplished the jackhammering of the entire basement perimeter in four hours. On the second day they installed the pipes, sump pump, and electrical outlet; connected the pump to the downspout; and laid the new concrete in about four and half hours. Although I was expecting to have to do a lot of cleaning, I found no dust on my belongings, which had been well protected with plastic. They even made a plastic wall to protect the kitchen while they made trips from the side door to the basement. The following week, they returned to reinstall closet shelves that they had removed. And when the spigots connected to my washing machine began to leak due to the machine being moved for the demolition (probably because of their age), they replaced the spigots, even going the extra mile when the new ones they had brought to install were found to be defective--they took them back to the store and returned to finish the job that day so I could do laundry. My basement is now dry, warmer, and usable and no longer a place I avoid, thanks to Paul and his professional and capable crew.

Instantly, Paul noticed that the downspouts were not attached properly to the drains and suggested I go to Home Depot to buy some extensions. Total cost was $10 and a trip to Home Depot. I appreciate Paul's honesty and not trying to up-sell me on services I didn't need. Extremely nice guy; extremely knowledgeable. It's good to know he's around in the event my basement ever needs serious work.

Rogers Basement Waterproofing worked inside and outside my house for 2 days putting in drainage, sump pump and redirecting outside downspouts. They were professional, courteous and effective. The were on time and cleaned up after they were done. I could not ask for more.

The job took two days. The team of 6 to 8 arrived on time and worked steadily. They took great pains to protect our flooring before they started work. The guys were friendly and gladly answered my questions. The quality of their work is superb and they left the job site in pristine condition. I would highly recommend Ragers Basement Waterproofing to anyone with moisture in their basement. They aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for!

Paul explained a few possible causes for the dampness and advised me to have the drain tiles checked out and recommended a service provider (who also has excellent Angie's List ratings). Paul also showed me a place where an exterior drainage pipe needed to be fixed. He told me that I didn't need his services at this point and refused to accept any payment for his expertise. If I do need to do any further work on my basement, I will definitely be giving Rogers Basement Waterproofing another call.

Came out to give an estimate. Rather than selling us on an expensive system he recommended alternate ways to solve our problem through gutters and grading. Very nice guy.

I thought I needed my 100 year old basement waterproofed. John came out and told me that I didn't need any work done. He said it was in good shape and suggested things I can do to improve the appearance of my stone walls and things I should do outside to ensure that I don't have water issues in the future. He was extremely nice, and I appreciate him not doing work that didn't need done just to make $$. I will definitely keep his business card in case I need something in the future!!
