Roberts Service Group

We declined the services, we had the 240v vehicle charging system installed for $170 - $150 + $20 in parts. This included everything in the $1900 quote, from an Angie's listed electrician.

The electrician and his apprentice were very professional and good at what they were doing. Days after the work was complete, on a Sunday I think, an old crimp connection on the wiring from the transformer failed. This was a crimp done by AEP about 20 years ago. I was not home so my wife called the Roberts Service Group. On the phone Roberts suggested my wife call AEP even though they would be out to verify the issue. The Roberts electrician came out extremely quickly, within an hour. During their visit they confirmed the situation had to be fixed by AEP and verified the house wiring. AEP later arrived and re-crimped the feed wire.

I had 4 bids placed on the above-mentioned work. Roberts was the most expensive overall, but proposed the largest scope of work. When I asked the other bidders what their costs would be for the same scope of work they were all about par. Roberts was referred from Bosch Automotive Aftermarket who is the sanctioned provider of chargers from GM. Everyone working with Roberts was concerned about promptness, cleanliness, and making sure work was up to building codes. Their expertise was greatly appreciated. I was very comfortable having them in the house and everyone worked well with several pets in the home. The job took 2 working days. The power was off the second day for about 10 hours, but this was largely dependent on AEP showing up to reconnect the power. While they might not be the least expensive everyone was very professional and great to work with. This is in NO WAY a refection of my dealings with Roberts. Bosch Automotive Aftermarket "required" pictures of the inside the house which seemed needless. If you have an electric car, I highly recommend the 220V 20 ?40 amp rapid charger.
